For that matter, I'd say that the more specific achievements that have been suggested (whether genre specific or creator specific), are probably even better - because even if a person checks out an anime or manga because there's an achievement for reading it, it still got them reading or watching they wouldn't have read or watched otherwise, which is something laudable. |

I realize that the plan is to freeze the achivement list, but before that happens, would it be possible to have achivement pairity between the two? For example, GAR badges for manga as well as anime, since a lot of the anime on the GAR list also have manga forms, in addition to some manga that I think would qualify as GAR, but which have not received anime adaptations (like Crows & Worst). |

Deciding to stop watching a lot of anime (for whatever reason) is an unusual event, so why not get some sort of recognition for it? It's trivial, but I'd consider it as an achievement, along with the ones for studios/prolific creators/whatever else I've forgotten. If it did become one it would probably have levels like 25/50/75/100 or a similar staggered amount. I'd probably never qualify for the final level, since I've forced myself to finish anything I've started now. Yes, even Pupa, ugh. Although I remember one of the admins saying that they weren't considering any new achievements. That makes me sad. |

I just assumed that more achievements would be hard to manage, or make more people just focus on getting achievements instead of watching and enjoying anime/manga. Wait...wouldn't that last point happen anyways? ARGH. Anyways, the only achievements I can really think of to contribute (if they ever added any) are one based on how many you've dropped and those based on certain studios/authors/franchises. I think that ones based on studios/authors/franchises would be hard to manage because the levels would vary between achievements, but they would probably just go for 25/50/75/100% of the total number of works contained within. |
