We received so much information, it's pretty hard to process everything.
First of all, the mysterious guy who talked to Haraken isn't at all Haraken from the future, nor 4-4-3-2, nor Isako's brother. He is... just some guy who works with Haraken's aunt, it seems. I guess what really matters isn't who he is but the informations he possesses thanks to his work.
Speaking of mystery though, I shouldn't forget about the boy from previous episode who also seems to be interesting not for who he is but what he knows. And what he said at the end has to be taken in account.
But about what we learned in this episode, there is everything related to Isako's brother. I never thought he actually was 4-4-3-2 actually, but now that I think about it it was what made the most sense. They are hinting so much at Yasako and Isako being somehow related, although the full extent is still unknown (but that is also where the infos given by the boy probably come into play). And so, the "other side" does exist and is like an alternate dimension in which people can get lost and either fall in a coma or straight-up die because of it. That's what happened to 4-4-3-2, he is stuck in there and that's why he is in a coma. I don't fully get what is Isako doing but one thing is sure, her goal isn't an evil one, she just wants her brother back. It's truly sad that she ends up alone due to people not believing her, and it explains her rather edgy behaviour. She's just a child, and so things can appear especially dramatic to her and make her feel like the whole world is against her. But it seems more that the adults either don't know and so can't believe her, or do know for a few of them but keep it a secret because it's way too big of a deal to be revealed to other people, and especially to children who are the ones most in danger not only due to being too immature but also due to being the ones who use the glasses the most regularly. But due to that, Isako herself is becoming a threat as she is doing anything in her power, no matter how wrong it can be, to bring her brother back.
This whole thing with the alternate dimension also makes me realize what is the real deal with those creatures that can be heard/seen despite being dead, like Kanna, Kuroe and Michiko-san. They're stuck in this dimension, that's what is happening. But unlike 4-4-3-2, they aren't in a coma, they're really dead. They're pretty much like ghosts now, which makes me wonder how they can even be saved. Also, if this is really what is going on, then what is the real implication of Isako fusing with Michiko-san (and apparently other entities as well) ? Well, I guess this is why it made a key appear, that's probably a key to the other dimension, but she needs more to be able to go there. And since Yasako apparently has some power which allows her to see this dimension (if I understood the boy's information correctly), she herself is probably the final key. But since Kanna had this power as well, how will her own story come into play in the current one ? That's so intriguing.
Oh, one last thing : apparently, Megabaa fainted 4 years ago and lost her memories in the process. 4 years ago, so when Kanna died as well as when this event with the children fainting and waking up with hallucinations occured. She probably saw this as well but, I'm guessing due to old age, her mind couldn't handle it. After all, she is one of the very few adults to still be using glasses...
Actually, I still have one last thing to mention : considering that we know for sure it isn't her brother, then who is the person Isako has been shown communicating with multiple times ? |
