| Great chapter. I love how the mangaka uses Hiro in this situation... The fact he wants her to look only at him shows how selfish he can be and the last page was very well done too. :3 |
| Basically threw a fit after the ending of this chapter. At least Motomiya got through to Hiro in a way but I feel bad for Motomiya ;A; |

| So, caught up with this manga now and i have to say, it really is damn good. Normally i dislike Shoujo but somehow this manga is very exciting. Honestly, the backstory of Mao´s parents did not surprise me. That Mao´s mom cheated was already hinted when she came back home with the guy and was angry that Mao was at home. Besides, it was also obvious from his behavior that Mao´s dad has some kind of trauma concerning his past marriage and that he partially blames Mao for it. Still, the chapter was really heartbreaking because is was build up as a sweet love story but then the scene with her cheating was really shocking. |
| I get how you guys pity the dad for his cheating wife and all but even if his point is understandable, the way both of them treated Mao is so damn unfair. |

| I guess its sort of understandable why Mao's dad got all messed up. He got cheated on straight after he got married, then his daughter wouldn't look at him properly. Kinda feel sorry for him. I think eventually he'll get better. Lol loved that Hiro and Mao bit. |

| The story of her parents was really sad. Even if I feel sorry for her father, he's being unfair with Mao. Oda-kun is a really nice guy. I hope he'll end with Chii-chan hehe And Hiro.....I like gthis really xD |

| I'm still mad at the father, though I hate him a lot less now. When his wife said he was calling out for Mao in his sleep again I just started crying. It looks like Hiro has known about Mao's feelings for a while, now. |

| Well, at last it's revealed why Mao's dad was like that. Poor him tho, i think everything is a really messed up in his head with that problem he got. Hiro gotta moves about Mao or else another things could messed up their relationship tho. |
| Mao's father's behavior is still unacceptable but his actions are at the least understandable now, and for his sake I hope that he's happier in his new relationship. Fuck Mao's mother though, damaging the relationship and damaging Mao. |

| This chapter was quite heartbreaking, seeing what happened to Mao's parents, especially Mao's dad... it doesn't excuse his behaviour to Mao, but still I can't help but feel sorry for him... In the end, the biggest victim is the child. |

| Best chapter so far... I feel like I'm suddenly seeing so many characters in a new light, and everything fits together so well. It makes me appreciate the relationships in this manga a lot more, too. To be honest, this is the first chapter I've truly felt hooked when I was reading this (despite the previous chapters being enjoyable, the depth of the story hadn't dawned on me yet), and I hope I'll only continue to get roped in more and more by this heartwarming series. |
| I definitely sympathize with the dad more, but it's still beyond unfair that Mao had to take the brunt of the damage from something she had no control over. Hope the new wife can reawaken the warmth he was had as a father. Oda is pretty much doomed to lose but can't help but appreciate how hard he's trying lol |
| so here comes the backstory and consequently i feel the behaviour meted out to Mao fairly acceptable , without any conscious fault of Mao ofc. Forget everything else ,Is she really his child ??? Considering the absolute apathy of the mother throughout, coupled with the fact she was never off sharing the bed (& the bed which was reserved for Matsumoto nonetheless ,their absolute private space) with the blonde(?) guy, does her word,any word, hold any value ? That question alone is enough to tumble down the world of the guy. Infact i believe the outcome is one step below ideal for Mao.Matsumoto could have easily turned violent giving into his trauma. In a way the cycle was broken by pushing away Mao from that god-really-forsaken home. Hope in time the dad heals and have a REAL talk with Mao. Fuck the mother . |
