One of the best chapter to date. Incredible fight and emotions followed by an ominous, grim ending.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

That was some pretty epic tag team action they had going there.

Got to love the sketchy but well-illustrated fight scenes, and it doesn't looks like humanity stands a chance after the massive losses they suffered under the hands of just 1 intelligent giant. The emotions was overflowing and intensive. First few pages without monologue. Rivaille short reply ( I see. ) after being reprimanded by Misaki, Erin's flashback and appearance of Petra's father.

5/5 Chapter

Aw, this was a really great chapter. It displayed the emotion everyone felt amazingly well. It left a pretty empty feeling when you finished the chapter, but in a good way yet depressing lol. Wonder whats gonna happen with Eren now though...

Was good chapter, didn't think they would rescue Eren straight away which was a surprise to me. Well with Irvine being sent to the capital wonder what will happen to Eren exactly....not looking good for them either way...

^I couldn't describe it better.

Eren already faced a trial...but now the whole legion is at a stake...or so it seems.

My memory is hazy, but wasn't Eren's fate left to Irvin, depending on the outcome of the operation that just went horribly wrong?

A very solid chapter. Rivallie's subtle show of emotions throughout the chapter made him come across far better than he had previously; as a super-soldier without too many... err, nice points. And it goes without saying that he kicked arse, both strategically and in terms of his fighting abilities--him never getting hot enough under the collar to lose his cool, no matter the situation.

Not sure where the series is going to go next. We're obviously in for a good few 'talkie' chapters, after all that action, but we've already dealt with courtroom drama once and I can't say I'm eager to see more. Maybe Eren will remember how the female giant fought and connect her moves with the moves of that girl I can't remember the name of; the one who taught him how to fight?...

Epic chapter...Rivaille was just godlike :D I can't get enough of this manga.

I'm curious to see how they will deal with the trial next chapter.

Annie, I think.

Quite possibly the best chapter yet. Even the artwork was at an all-time high, especially the fight with the giant. Rivaille is a beast.

The tears of the female giant are interesting. If you add this with its long hunt for Eren through the fields and forest, then it seems more like an urge to find something precious. The emotional part of its actions becomes quite clear, like a mother desperately searching for her lost child with ferociousness. That's why I doubt that it is related to Annie or any other character that we already know. Anyway, there are still lots of interesting mysteries...

Woah... This is amazing, I look up to this mangaka, epic fighting scene, this is how a shonen series should look like.

Also, the suspense is KILLING me, what will happen to them now??

So the story did take another turn, one of the better.

The team will obviously regroup, but they will need Eren's help i imagine, because he is the main character, he has the plot fluid flowing through his veins, he is very much needed.

While being held back by the authorities, Eren will learn something new i imagine.

Meanwhile Rivalie and friends will have few things sorted out and somewhat figured what they should aim for next. We'll get to see Eren's rescue from the jail i guess and then the hunt for the mysterious people can continue.

Amazing chapter!!!
The flow of the fight was well done and Rivaille just became my favourite character.
Also, the female titan was starting to cry when they save Eren.I wonder why.

It seems that Rivaille is in a bad position
I can't wait for the next chapter.

Rivaille is so bad ass. :B

He is my favorite character out of this whole manga. I really hope nothing happens to him later.

Dang, what a bad outcome. That stupid female character.... I wish she was like Eren in his resolve to help humans.

The cycle repeats again. Full circle from chapter 1. That was a terrible, and ruinous defeat for the Legion...

Christa is still nowhere to be found.

annie? christa? is it odd that i have no memory of these people. the char designs are nice but it's so hard to tell so many of them apart, and besides the main handful of characters, the rest are almost instantly forgotten. if there's some big reveal hopefully i actually know what's going on...

anyway, this has been getting better and better

When Rivaille was first introduced, I thought he would most likely be on par, if not only a little better than Mikasa. But now after this I see no comparison, and that's scary.

So it is Levi, or it is Rivaille? Whatever, he's too damn cool, no wonder he's called the strongest man. This is why I don't like Mikasa, she's just.. ughh

Great ending to a chapter, so depressing, they've lost a lot but gained little to none

umm maybe page 39 will help u with that.... bottom.....

when Ymir asked where Christa is before it was because she was not in her formation group. umm u know why??? because she found Jean's horse and went to help them. aka helping Jean Reiner and Armin get a house so they can re group.. thats where Christa was. after that she followed them and is seen on the tree holding the Titans at the outer forest area. she was always there.

Seeing all the dead members of the Levi unit saddens me...Hajime Isayama really is ruthless!!Esp Petra....She and Sasha- i didnt want them to die they brought some bit of lightness and kawaiiness to an otherwise highly tense and exhilarating manga. Didnt want her to die D:. 5/5 awesome action again

This chapter really helped remind me how awesome Attack on Titan is. The death of Squad Levi really brought me to tears, especially Petra's death with her father thinking she was still alive. Poor Levi and Erwin. I know they probably both feel responsible for what has happened and Erwin taken the full blame for it. I wonder what's going to happen to Eren next...

Ooof Mikasa gave Levi so much sass about failing the mission and losing Eren.

Their return home was so sad too, when Petras father was talking to Levi omg.

Yeah, the Female Titan crying I guess because she couldn't take Eren where she was trying to go? Really interesting moment. I think that the reason why she ultimately ended up losing was that she was just plain worn down by the efforts of Levi's squad, Eren, and then Levi himself and Mikasa. Took a lot of effort and loses and nothing really to show for it. Just a depressing situation all around. So good.

Mikasa and Levi, the best working togheter. Unfortunately, looks like Mikasa lacks the experience that Levi has.

The ending, with the Survey Corps returning, was really sad. Petra's father talking with Levi was so heartbreaking.

You can't be serious. Eren gets saved again? This is getting annoying how much plot armor the mcs have compared to the fodder side characters who get killed off easily just for melodrama. Rivaille or Levi or whatever is way too powerful

Ew, puke.
With this failure the monster of Eren is taken  away from the survey corps.
Can't believe the manga reached the second season of the anime already 😅 I like this pace actually for the story's sake. 3/5.
