| Hey kobolds! XD Captain Jebra looks competent enough, maybe without that meddling sorcery from the enemy he could at least hold the fortress for a time though that would be only a delay the inevitable if the Marmo forces are already landing elsewhere anyway. |

| Ah, a good old 90s anime. Love that hand drawn look =) This show is pretty interesting. I hope this Parn guy drastically improves somehow, and I hope he gets some new armor, green and brownish yellow? not cool. That black knight looks pretty cool though. I hate it when the villain looks cooler than the hero! |

| The Darkness Rises. Ep 3. Plot: Not only meeting Deedlit, the elf girl proper, the group learn of the troubles facing the Alanian group by the Black Knight of Marmo from Woodchuck, the Thief. After some good banter from the Captain of the Alanian group, and some introspection on Parn's possible future, the castle is besieged and only Parn's group, with Woodchuck included, makes it out alive. Character: We meet Deedlit proper and she's a mischievous but nice elf. We can also see something blooming between her and Parn. Parn himself moves himself more towards knighthood with teachings from Ghim and the Captain and some advice on the best knights from Woodchuck. He's still pretty green in term of fighting skill but he's got potential. On the other side we have the mystery witch. She seems to be rising as a major player and setting things up in advance. It's interesting to speculate on who's side she's on. Animation/Sound: This is without a doubt the bloodies ep to date. Not only do we see actual blood from enemies and good guys alike, but the death toll is pretty high this time. 4/5. The adventure continues with enemies moving, allies collapsing, and the heroes moving on. |

| This episode was certainly better than the previous one. Bad guys finally properly showed themselves and we got some more action. Parn is still an amateur at fighting, but I guess he'll improve in the near future if he wants to keep up with the others. |
| Character interactions are fantastic and the characters are very interesting themselves. I'm really liking how Parn is presented, hes super believable in skill and personality. The new villains seem intense, that medieval warfare is always great. Really liking this show so far. |
| I don't think we need to see the prologue every time. Anyway, I like the music used for battles (and the old-school way of barely animating them by showing several impactful shots and/or just moving the drawing to show movement) Ashram has a typical "evil knight" design, even his face looks familiar. Maybe I'm imagining things though. |

Especially for the music. And to go back to the right atmosphere. Reminder: those VHS/LD were sold every few months apart, this was no weekly broadcast. It wasn't so much to do old school than to spare on animation thanks to Mr. Nobuteru "I will make everything more elaborate and harder to animate than Izubuchi's original arts" Yuki. XD |

| Man this series is awesome. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. I definitely expected it to be more OTT fantasy than this is, and I'm glad it's not. I like that it's a little grittier without it being grimdark. The entire cast of characters is cool, the art is beautiful, the monsters look cool as heck, and Deedlit is awesome. I'm all in on this. |

| I love how this is like a DnD dungeon type game. A nice action packed episode with some nice new people. The dark elf guy was dangerous, and those wolf people who fought with him. The captain was a cool guy it was sad to see him go. I like how the last guy to join the party was just locked up in the dungeon with them. |
