The main girls and Nagi are back! But honestly, the mood and overall vibe of this anime remains the same. Seems Nagi wants to give tasks to them since they're all in the same house now. I wish he didn't have to say his thoughts out loud so much though. It's goofy and makes him look like a clown. He also had some fantasies about Hiro. Erika is still Erika, who remains very outspoken around the house. Sachi hasn't changed much either. Only the first episode but they didn't waste much time at all with this. |

Shounen fans ain’t the only ones eating good when it comes to slop this season, romance fans not only have Rent-a-Girlfriend, but also the pinnacle of all trash harem romances, Couple of Cuckoos, airing on the SAME day to satisfy your needs. Now let's talk about the obvious elephant in the room, and no, that's not a fat joke toward Hiro. I'm talking about the visuals. Honestly, I can't tell if it looks better or worse than the first season. It's... fine, I guess. The mini recap was a nice touch, especially with the tease for what this whole season’s been advertised around: the new girl joining the harem. But after that, it feels like we’re picking up right where we left off, with Hiro temporarily moving in as a form of rebellion against her parents forcing her into an arranged marriage. The rest of the episode plays out exactly like a typical Cuckoos episode, just doing whatever it can to pad out the runtime. That part where they played Kokkuri-san was pretty funny though, ngl lol. But yeah, you can already guess where this season is heading based on how hard they’re pushing the new girl... sigh. |

I think this happened last time as well when this was airing 3 years back. Seriously, how many harem animes have got 24 episode first season and then a sequel too? I don’t know the exact count but this series should’ve never become a part of that count. Mangaka Miki Yoshikawa's harem series is back after 3 years, and it's quite the staff and studio overhaul from the last. asmi's OP is alright, though Season 1's OPs are still memorable. Hiro getting quite heated to run away from home and move into Nagi's place with Erika and his sister Sachi, it creates quite the problem for the extra roommate in their supposed cuckoo house. Instead, Nagi being relegated to the storage room with Hiro taking his room, it sure causes concern for Erika to be worried about her fake marriage with Nagi, though the other side of the coin is just as questioning if he goes ahead to marry Hiro instead. At daylight, Hiro already proving herself to be quite the wife character in the house, and letting her do the chores alone is definitely a no-no, not with Erika and Sachi lazing in the house also. Even Hiro herself delaying breakfast until Nagi has to fix a meal for everybody. And horror night at the mansion sure turned into quite the interrogation for everyone playing Kokkuri-san, but thankfully his first ever crush, which just so happens to be someone else, turned out to be the girls pranking on him alright. A nude time at the pool for Nagi, turned to quite the affair between the Umino siblings on finding love for Sachi, and how she determines her life with her older brother. However, Hiro getting kidnapped, and a new girl on the horizon who's familiar with Umino-tei...who is this new challenger? With 22/7's rather decent ED, it's quite the rowdy return for the harem that seemingly never ends... |

Erika-chan's house unexpectedly welcomed Hiro. Nagi, Erika, and Sachi greeted Nagi, who had run away due to a fiancé issue. Their life together as a group of four began, but the rooms in Erika-chan's house were not enough. So, at least they planned for some to share a bed. With this opportunity, Nagi suggested that they re-establish the division of household chores. I like how Segawa-san cooks; I didn't expect that apron to suit Segawa. Is the main ingredient used by Segawa-san katsuobushi? Even so, Erika and Sachi are not very good at handling household tasks. It's not oyakodon, but tanindon. Does anyone know the game Kokkuri-san? Is the Ouija board game the same as Kokkuri-san? Ai-chan?? |

Bro this series used to mean so much to me back in 2022, I was the anime’s biggest defender and the manga was in my top 5 on MAL till like last year 😭 I fell out with it because of some plot developments, but last week I caught back up and now I like it again. Nagi's crush Hiro comes to live with him, Erika and Sachi, which leads to some change and to some silly stuff. Our mc new living space is now the storage room (after he dreamt of sharing his bedroom with his crush, yeah keep dreaming buddy) while Hiro's attempt at making breakfast was not even finished yet when dinner's time came haha. The kokkuri moments were also very fun with the girls (Sachi in particular) teasing Nagi. It seems we'll get to meet the new girl, Ai, very soon, I imagine she'll add even more chaos to Nagi's already messy love live and confused feelings. Very amusing and solid start to this new season, the animation also seems better than the first season to me :) |

I remember genuinely enjoying parts of S1 and this is off to an interesting start with the introduction of a new girl in the form of Nagi's first love. All 4 in the apartment soon, I'm sure xD. As if things weren't already complicated. Sacchi-chan-focused episode first up, and as usual, she just can't seem to be honest. Hiro-chan's boldness is quite something though, lol. Sadly, that last little bet didn't go her way but to the unexpected imouto. Erika-chan bringing up the family happiness ideal scenario too, that's probably going to be crucial going forward, I imagine. It's good she got it out of the way early up, things are going to get hectic very soon... |

Conditions and questions central to your current and future life, and you have not given them much though? "What even is a happy marriage?" Well starting at the middle of night waking: Sex; 2nd sleep; wake up; sex; breakfast; sex; work; bro's lunch; work; sex; supper; sex; entertainment; sex; ready for bed; sex; 1rst sleep. "Tonight is horror night!" The words were chilling enough, Hiro, but you expression clinched it. Sheol01 said: Well the anime did not get that far, but the manga resolved it decisively. The reason why I like this is because Nagi has remained true to his feelings. In other titles a guy is total crushing on someone, in walks the new girl, and it's like crush who? Nagi still really likes Umino. He but his heart still longs for Umino. It'll probably change by the end (hope it doesn't) , but I like how he is right now. |

Idk why this of all things got a season 2 but honestly im not complaining, this anime is actually really good imo, its got a small but very solid cast and despite Nagi having the plain harem anime protagonist look he's actually a really good male mc. So far for the first episode back it was really good, they all retain the same fun and goofy dynamic from s1, I really don't mind who wins in the end, I'd assume probably it will go the plain route and Erika will win. I'd honestly rather have Sachi or even the new girl win just to make things interesting |

Animation looks absolutely beautiful 👌🏻 all the girls look even better than season 1 0:45 a new girl has appeared! 😯 oh boy. Ai, huh? Can’t wait to see how she stirs the pot. The more the better! 🤣🙌🏻 I like those scenes in the OP of Nagi with each girl 👌🏻 not as good as Season 1 OP 2 tho 2:30 HIRO IS LIVING WITH THEM TOO! All 3 girls under one roof! 🙌🏻🤣 6:15 POOR NAGI 💀🤣 12:20 OH! IT’S THIS OST! 🤣🙌🏻 I’VE MISSED THIS SONG THEY PLAY! IT JUST SCREAMS A COUPLE OF CUCKOOS! YES! I was so hoping they would still keep playing it! 15:15 SACHI! 🫢 SLY! Oh boy 18:35 YO NAGI CHILL 💀 Seiyuus: - Nagi - Kaito Ishikawa (Sakuta from Bunny Girl Senpai Season 2 and Naofumi Iwatani from Shield Hero Season 4 this season too) - Erika - Akari Kitou (Nezuko from Demon Slayer) - Hiro - Nao Touyama (Koga from Bunny Girl Senpai Season 2 and Ruka from Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 this season too) My 13th Summer 2025 anime! It has been 3 years since Season 1 from Spring 2022! Used to be a Saturday anime, now it’s a Tuesday anime. I’ve been rewatching some clips on YouTube recently 🤣👌🏻 very good scenes happened in season 1. Nagi may be a little dense, but not completely thankfully. This was already a crazy first episode man 🤣 each girl already having their moments, especially Sachi 👀 let’s do this! |

… you see, they proved this point just with this first episode. An entire episode over Hiro moving in with these people and them just deciding who’ll cook, who’ll clean and who’ll sleep on the floor the whole time, smh. Spare us that stupid af game, I mean we all know these three girls just want to get laid. Add the mix of unneeded incest with Sachi there. Whatever man, manga is already a lost casue. Not sure if I'll want to continue it this season knowing what's to come. New girl Ai is even big of a baggage, btw.

Oh man it feels good to be watching this goofy show again, this getting a Season 2 really surprised me back when it was announced but it made me really happy at the same time, it’s just pure harem goodness with lots of silliness so I can’t help but enjoy it, I wish it could have been 2 cours again but I’ll take what I can get. And it looks like they’ve changed the art style a bit, makes sense with this being a different studio, I think it looks good, not sure if I’d say it’s better than the first season’s style but I like it a lot, and they kept the funny expressions even with the style change so that pleases me. And this was a very fun episode to return to, this is my first time seeing these characters again since October 2022 so I’m glad we got reintroduced to them in such an off the wall way with Segawa moving in with Nagi, Erika and Sachi as hilarity ensues, it looks the only person qualified to do any housework is Nagi lol. The horror segment was also really good, Segawa really said it’s spooky time and busted out the Japanese version of a ouija board, poor Nagi got damn near tortured but this did play into the introduction of the hidden 4th waifu coming this season with Ai, a new babe is really gonna shake up the dynamic we have so I’m excited to see what she’s about, that flashback scene of her and Nagi as kids might spark some drama soon. And I really like the OP and ED pair, I actually already knew 22/7 was on the ED because they released it a while back, I remembered seeing Cuckoos with 22/7 beneath it and I was like “wait, that ain’t right” lol, but it’s a really good song along with the OP by asmi. |

It's good to see this back but honestly not very enjoyable for the first ep. The impression is weak and the art... was it always this creepy? small face and really inconsistent throughout the episode, even the romance part seems to be in crumbles, like pieces falling everywhere, nothing solid. The best I can give this is a 5/10 right now, even with all those fansa scenes taken into consideration. Just not very impressed overall :/ |

Has anyone here also having trouble to remember some plot points and overall what happened back in season 1? I mean, first season was aired 3 years ago and I only watched this anime once, during that time. So while I was seeing the first episode of this new season I realized I forgot some important stuff that happened back then. But maybe this isn't too much of a problem anyway. This new season looks like it's going to be cool and interesting, specially now that Hiro (a.k.a best girl) is moving in their house to live with them. And on top of that Nagi's first love will also appear to join the mix and add more troublesome moments. haha Of course that his first love is going to show up, this is one of the biggest cliches that the authors of romcom always include in their stories. Not that I am complaining, btw. Just pointing that out. Another fun anime to watch. Best anime season in years and I mean it. |

It's back! Picking up where we left off. Hiro moves in and now a new girl arrives. I have no problems with the new art and super glad the new studio showed the uncensored stairs and bathroom shot. Gives me hope they won't censor like the last studio did. |

Didn't think that we'll get a s2 for this. Loved the visuals for the OP. Running away from home sure was bold of Hiro. Still three girls living with him now sure would change things. Sachi and Erika really need to help more around the hse. Though im surprised how clueless they are with basic housework. The Kukri game sure was fun. Given their bond its natural for Sachi to be worried of the changes to it. Hiro's kidnapping sure concided with the new girl showing up at Nagi's place. Nice to see 22/7 provide the ending theme. |

Segawa-chan is adorable, that moment when she tried preparing the breakfast and she actually did a good job, was awesome. All of them are fine and the story seems good. |

I'm to see everyone again, they all look so smooth and shiny, and what's funny is that their chibi forms look a little blurry! Really makes them stand out😂! I can't believe this season only has 12 episodes when last season had 24, I'm already caught up in the manga, but i'd still like to see more of it on anime! |
