| Got what I had expected out of this. Satoko is the main focus so far as a runaway ninja. There's actually some action and even blood but most of it is played off as humor. I think one of the more important parts of the show is her meeting with Konoha. They seem like every different characters so I'm curious how they'll get along for rest of the series. Satoko herself is kind of an airhead but fun to watch imo. |

| So it's Lycoris Recoil, except instead of both of them being assassins, one’s a ninja… for one reason, and one reason only: to clean up the assassin’s dirty work. Great, lmao. Oh, and believe me, she is an assassin. A ruthless one. She just murdered a woman like it was nothing. Yeah lol. I REALLY wouldn’t have expected murders in a show that looks this cute… and is straight-up yuribait lol. Speaking of the visuals, YO. It’s SHAFT, so I expected above-average animation, BUT THIS LOOKS FUCKING FANTASTIC. I was half-expecting someone like Nagata to show up, and yeah, that cut from him was really good. I actually didn’t even realize this was made by SHAFT at first, but now that I know, this is easily gonna be one of my favorites of the season. Close enough, welcome back, Kobayashi and Lycoris Recoil. |

| It's been awhile since Shaft's last anime showing (which would be yet another sequel in the studio's Monogatari series), and mangaka HundredBurger's Shonen slice of life series is quite the stark contrast to what the studio is known for. HanaKana's back for another OP (which feels like forever), and it's decent to good. The opening intro of the old-school 4:3 style showing the life of ninja Satoko Kusagakure being chased by ninjas, to then contrast that with the ordinary high school girl of Konoha Koga, finding the ninja in the alleyway, only to kick her aside in the face of starvation, and then torture her by eating a meal of food in front of her face, thinking that it's for her. At least Konoha did give her refills, though her village's shinobi so eager to escape their own tribe being runaways, this is not the first time she's escaped, being scolded by her Senpai shinobi...and then being stabbed by Konoha herself? Turns out, Konoha is an assassin, and a ruthless one at that to kill her Senpai off, and at least Satoko has the ninjutsu to turn anything into leaves. Her not understanding Konoha only makes the matter worse as both ninja and assassin have to work together, by the latter helping to protect the former from her tribe, and the ninja helping the assassin with her job as well. As soon as yet another Senpai of Satoko's comes to attack her, Konoha makes quick work of her as well...plus Satoko already being bossed by living in the rather decrepit state of Konoha's apartment after agreeing to her request lols. Konoha has the look of a high school girl, though it's best not for Satoko to debate about that lest she wants to get assassinated herself. her the lunchbox being left behind at home, Satoko has to look far to reach Konoha in school, though she soon finds the place by following the scent of her underwear...and gets entertained by her classmate and friend of Aiko Yoshida. Of course, the whole ninja outfit "being for cosplay" with none the wiser, plus the long-winded story of the relations between both, Satoko gets along with Konoha...though being 210th in the assassin ranking is just dichotomy lols. HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily's 2nd song of the season, and this ED is also another alright one. It's an alright show for the slice-of-life elements, not one to think hard about. |

| Finally something new from Shaft. Entertaining and wacky start. More violent than I expected, though. Satoko and Konoha's relationship kinda reminds me of Tohru and Miss Kobayashi. |

| The show’s funny, and the classic art style at the beginning was a nice touch. The series looks promising when it comes to delivering comedic scenes. Satoko’s senpai, Fumiko—her dress is definitely on the provocative side. Satoko’s all flowers and sunshine, while Konoha has a nasty personality. But honestly, all the girls’ designs are cute, so I can get behind this show—even if what I’m seeing are murder scenes. |

| Living in a city with more than 210 assassins around sounds very safe... So for i like the relaxed setting of them anime the jokes were nice to but i would like to know the characters a bit better. I also wonder what kind of trouble these two will get into. |

| That old school animation intro looks sick and the overall animation also really has strong direction. Oh until I realize it's from Shaft, great. Cold blood killa could never look this cute and chill at the same time. Konoha looks just like Elma from Dragon maid. Her vibe is certainly reserved and also mature much more like an office worker than your typical student lmao. I always show with huge female cast like this with wacky humor like Dragon maid so this is really my cup of tea. Just need to introduce more cast to really make the show even more enjoyable and it's all good from there. |

| Good to see SHAFT doing something original again, think this is the first I’ve seen since Assault Lily? This was an amazing premiere. Love my assassin yuri duo already. Konoha and Satoko have such great chemistry and the show is genuinely funny as hell. Excited to see how their business partnership goes. Feels like Kunoichi NEET but GOOD from last season 😂 RIP to Satoko’s senpai. I didn’t think they’d kill both of them off instantly like that, Konoha is savage lmao. The animation also went crazy for the Michiru scene, hopefully we see SHAFT flex their muscles like that throughout. You know, most people learn how to clean up after themselves BEFORE they start killing people. Clearly not the case for Konoha since she can’t clean up a crime scene OR her own damn house. “Damn bitch you live like this?” Seriously how do people live with garbage bags all over the place lmao. Feel bad for Satoko because she’s going to have her work cut out for her basically being this girl’s maid Lmao at the lore Konoha gave to her friend for Satoko’s backstory, that’s a classic SHAFT dialogue scene if I’ve seen one. I wonder if we’ll ever figure out what Konoha’s real name is too lol. Still can’t get over Satoko tracking down Konoha by the scent of her underwear tho Really fun first episode, got a few genuine laughs from me. The art is pretty, the girls are hilarious and cute and it’s just some nice wacky fun. |

| Ehhh, dunno, didn't click with me, animation was great but the tone and premise of the show feel all over the place for me, like it isn't cute, but it isn't dark, but there weren't fights besides that well animated attack and comedy was a miss for me and then I don't like characters like Konoha, I was looking forward to this show but it is one of those cases that is just isn't for you. |

I'm so happy to see new anime from Shaft. The episode one is a banger and awesome. I love the dark humor and the animation. And KanaHana's voice for the opening song is amazing! |

| I didn't expect it to be this funny, let alone gory and a bit dark. Those ninjas don't last an episode! Are you telling me that Konoha is going to kill every single ninja that appears in the OP (which, by the way, is awesome, just like the ED)? What a waste, they had a good design. At least it has Satoko, who may be a useless ninja, but she's incredibly skilled at cleaning up. For me it was a fantastic start, one of the best releases of the season. It's possible it will become Yuri or Yuri bait, but if that happens, for me it will be even more entertaining. |

| I had been looking forward to this one. I love both Shaft and batshit comedy series. Looks like we're already off to a strong start with the jobber ninjas and assassin Yelp. Hoping for some good tsukkomi from Konoha in the future. |

| Hmm nice retro scenes to start this series with. Solid OP from Kana as well. Refills though sure are handy. Amusing that Satoko's cohorts rebelled because they wanted freedom. Fumiko sure ended up being defeated quite easily while saying loudly what was supposed to be left unsaid. The combat sure was stylish that goes hand in hand with the characters. Satoko being used as bait and a chef lol. Still that was a damm impressive cover story that Konoha ended up creating on the fly. Assassin rankings being reliant on customer reviews was a nice idea. Stylish ending theme. |

| In how many anime is HanaKana this season? It's the third for me, but maybe she is in more? Anyway, it's a pretty nice show which constantly swings between cute, dark and darkly cute. It's a bit like Dragon Maid, but with ninjas and without melodrama. Also it's a bit like Kill Me Baby. |
| I already like this anime a ton. The premise of this anime is actually really cool and interesting as well. The animation is great, the "fight" with the blue-haired ninja was really good. The characters are really different from each other, Satoko loves to talk while Konoha is expressionless and barely talks, perfect combo honestly. The opening was good and the ending was cute. So far, really fun to watch. Can't wait for next week. :) 5/5 |
| I had no real expectation other then nice, a New Shaft project. It's pretty entertaining so far, I like the contrast between the cold violence and how they talk so nonchalant about it. Also, Konoha remids me of Mei from Nichijou. This is such a great perspective, loved that whole fight sequence.  |
| Honestly, I'm pretty impressed with this first episode of NinKoro. Having a mixture of slapstick comedy, gory undertones and actual murder mixed up by animation from Shaft sounds crazy on paper, but it actually works really well. Speaking of animation, Shaft did a great showcase of their animation talents with some of the fight scenes while also keeping to their usual visual style that I know and love from them. As for the characters, Satoko is simply precious and adorable while Konoha is also pretty funny in her own way. She's god-tier at assassination jobs, but sucks at the cleanups, hence why her ranking is poor. Both the OP and ED songs are upbeat and very enjoyable, matched up by the colourful visuals and nice animation. Overall, I have pretty high hopes that this will be a really fun series to stick around with. =) |

Also, there is nothing that ruins girl's cuteness than being a remorseless killer. Anyway, Shaft is cooking. Seems like they completely recuperated from 2018 incident. |

| This anime introduced elaborately-designed side characters... and immediately murdered them and turned them into mulch. They're dead, dead? This is so bizarre... The sickle-on-a-chain girl was insanely animated. Even the animation quality of this anime is off-putting. Surprisingly funny, with Satoko sniffing the ground and blushing when kids made fun of her running pose. I guess I'm watching this one, too... |
| It gives off a similar vibe to Kill Me Baby but I only watched one episode of that so don't quote me on this. Anyways, there better be a reference to Travis Touchdown because no way they show off an Assassin's leaderboard without the idea of popping up in their heads. |
