What anime has the most ripoffs/copycats? (Maybe not necessarily inspirations, moreso actively ripping off the show)
| A series you can think of that multiple other series since it came out have blatantly ripped it off or tried to copy it in some way. Usually cheaply and is clear they made it just to profit off the series. Like how after Scooby Doo, a slew of "Teenagers hunting down monsters with a whacky animal sidekick" cartoons came out, many even made by hanna barbara themselves. Pokemon seems pretty obvious, a bunch of creature collecting series came out within the next few years, some good like Digimon, but otehrs were weird and fairly crappy like Fighting Foodons. |

| I'd point to all of Isekai, but there's none that stands out as the first. They all just seemed to appear, already copying each other. Like a spot of mould appearing in every slice of bread at once, without a clear start or end. |

| the only similarities that Pokemon and Digimon share is monsters you own and use to fight. literally nothing else. Madoka Magica has its fair share of copycats that completely missed what made Madoka, Madoka. |

| Don't know if I'd call it a rip-off, but it seems that almost every other anime that came after Evangelion takes something of inspiration from it, such as the emotionless girls with light colored hair (like Rei), tsunderes, or the semi-sentient mechs, or portraying depressed characters, etc. It obviously was a very influential show. |

| Fairy Tail, you can definitely see the abuse of friendship power in other shows since it ''worked'' once or even just the author using the same idea and characters in his different works. Naruto, that should be self explainable you can take a lot of newer works and compare. |
