| Toshiya is awesome, not taking any shit from the scholarship team or the director. I think the director has the right idea of wanting them to realize they have a long ways to go, but they should be doing that once they're in the first string, Goro and Toshiya are way too good to be 2nd string, bench warmer or regular. |

If anything he should at least retire his claim at "being a catcher", since if Goro isn't a good pitcher and he can't catch Goro's pitches, well then he sucks, plain and simple. |

| Man, how fucking awesome was Toshiya in this episode, though? The guy deserves all the praise in the world. I also found it lame that the manual was still being utilized to grade Goro. It really did not make any sense as the old man could not even catch his pitches and the guy is a friggin prodigy. Had the manger held him back from pitching this game, would he have just stayed on the bench during the season? Oh well.. who cares at this point :). Cannot wait for the next episode and see Goro man up. |

| ngl this whole Kaidou arc has been so stupid, I feel like all the realism is gone and we've stepped into shonen jump sorta territory. Dream Island was truly ridiculous (like somethng out of HxH) but this second string crap isn't any better. There are levels between players but come on you seriously expect me to believe these guys can just hit home runs whenever they want just because the Dream Island team aren't quite good enough. Give me normal Baseball Anime over this anyday. I really really really wanted to enjoy this franchise and I will stick with it but Ace of Diamond and Big Windup for example are worlds better than this. All the drama in this series thus far stems from one of two scenarios 1. Goro discovers someone is better than him at something and perhaps he has more to learn about baseball, which he often immediately goes and fixes. 2. Someone Goro cares about is ill. Seriously his adopted mom coughed up blood in the last season and this time it was a false alarm because his adoptive dad decided to unreasonably not tell him why she was at the hospital. Anyway onto the next episode I guess |
