Hi! Blaize here, I'm a Anime addict and hoarder of physical Anime releases.

I've been watching Anime since 2007 when an old friend showed me the original Fullmetal Alchemist, I was hooked pretty much straight away and have never looked back. I grew up always enjoying animation and while I actually got to Anime quite late I've certainly tried to make up for lost time. It took me alittle under 10 years to mark 1000 entries as completed and I'm slowly creeping up on the big 2K. I've enjoyed so many adventures of all sizes covering all possible genres. Anime is the gift that keeps giving and it's so exciting (if alittle overwhelming at times) just how many stories I've still yet to see.

My favourite genres tend to be Sports (Especially Baseball), Seinen Action, Horror/Supernatural, Iyashikei and Mecha/Sci-Fi series. I really love the Leijiverse, the Lupin III franchise and the works of Satoshi Kon, Hayao Miyazaki and Yoshiaki Kawajiri. I'm happy to watch Anime from any decade and with or without dub. Same goes for Cel vs Digital, Full Screen vs Widescreen, SD vs HD. So long as the story sounds interesting and the art catches my eye I'm happy to give it a try.

So far as Manga is concerned I've not really ever found a decent rhythm and have mostly concentrated on Tezuka's gekiga works from the 60s and 70s...for some reason. I enjoy them alot but couldn't explain why I like reading them over almost anything else but there you go.

Oh, I forgot to tell that Nagareboshi Gin have one of the best anime OSTs ever in my opinion! It screams the pure 80s! When I listen both its and Moomins' soundtrack, I can feel how nostalgic tears shedding, they're memory of good childhood <3 From other 80s animes Saint Seiya and Hokuto no Ken also have so brilliant soundtrack!

Also since I watched Area 88, I have just listened its soundtrack because it's so catchy and it gave me chills in those action scenes. This one became one of my favorites right away! https://youtu.be/I2DzFRGyzEQ I'm a huge fan of synth music, it's truly magical which you can't never hear nowdays, sadly :D

OMG, so cool that you know it! And yes, it's similar for us like Saint Seiya for Spanish people (another great anime, pretty unknown here, sadly. It deserves more fans!) and Dragon Ball Z in US, surprisingly big hit, but I think it's because it have so Finland things like bear hunting with dogs and also it was something that hadn't been seen here in animation before with its deep story and bloody battles (even tho Watership Down and Animals of Farthing Wood were also a thing) and it even affected me as a child, even though my mother forbade me to watch it xD Still, the violence wasn't the thing what scared me were the bears! Akakabuto haunted me so much :D Still, I became an eternal fan of this series, it's something that everyone should experience at least once in their life <3 Sequel, Ginga Densetsu Weed, also is very good even tho it shares opinions between fans. It was also my childhood. And yes, be aware, some English subs are very bad. "You two will rape them!" xD

And nice that you like the Moomins! It's one of the best children's series ever and as adult I can still find so deep and philosophical things about it what I didn't realized as kid. And it have many good memes here :D

Hello! I watched whole Area 88 yesterday and it really was brilliant! I'm a child from 2000s but I'm still into the 80s anime! It have usually very nice art style and banger music which makes them more interesting than modern animes even tho those also have gems.
