Kusuriya no Hitorigoto got the third rank in the light novel ranking. I hope this series will get an anime adaptation soon. It is a great series after all.

RIP One Piece.

Only a second "Shanks Entrance" could save you from reaching the peak sales you once had.

Damn KNY still going strong somebody stop this series. And AoT too, all this backlash about a horrible ending and people burning series and making petitions to make their own endings and shit and it still sells so good.

Man whats wrong with these fans.

Looks like there's a lot of interest in flashy modern takes on Japanese folklore. One Piece has been dethroned. Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen manga sales have surpassed One Piece's and MHA consistently beats it in anime viewership. Though, most surprising to me is the popularity of Tokyo Revengers.

No doubt what two series are dominating the charts, lol.

It's really good to see Tokyo Revengers and Shingeki no Kyojin up there too! And Chainsaw Man too although I've no experience with it.

Surprised by no One Piece, definitely hoping to see it come back stronger for the remaining half of the year.

I doesn't really have low sales, it just has a steady release of volumes that each sell well but it simply doesn't have the kind of mass buy phenomena that Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen have become, no doubt because their respective anime adaptations have been so successful.
If you have tons of new fans buying all the volumes it's easily going to surpass a decades old series where the dedicated readers already have all the old ones.

It sells well, as always, but the series has never had a groundbreaking point since Marineford and sales remain mostly the same due to the latest volumes selling the most and being bought by up-to-date readers.

Nice to see Tokyo Revengers doing well, I'm reading the manga right now and its really good. AoT, JJK, and KnY continues to dominate in manga sales. It's only a matter of time before Chainsaw Man doubles its sales when the anime for that series comes out. I expect Spy x Family to blow up too.

nothing but shonen i see? no surprise here since its really just generic slop these days one piece will be fine so there shouldn't be any worry about low sales.

Don't really understand the sensitive takes in this thread with people complaining battle shonen the genre that has always been super popular is dominating in sales. I mean sure it would be nice if Oricon released more sales numbers instead of just the top 5 but what did you expect lol? Also was honestly surprised that Chain Saw Man and Tokyo Revengers are doing as well as they are.

While over reactions to any media is incredibly stupid there is nothing wrong with being critical. Naruto still sold well towards the end of it's life but plenty fans found it flawed. There isn't anything wrong with that.

Sigh, no one can stop KnY even in light novels. I'm just glad that Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is in the top three LN sales, it's the most interesting series in this list.

Welp, not surprised to see Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen dominating the list. Pleasant surprise to see Tokyo Revengers on the list too, at least.

Those who make the most noise do not represent the majority.

An example of this is the last of us 2, a lot of noise was made with that game but in the end it sold very well and it is GOTY 2020.

Mass volumes of the big boosts are killing the lists, fucking awful for the last 2 years.
Can't even see what else sells since they are now pushed down by nearly 40 volumes of 2 series.

Also one piece posters making excuses, it sold 3 million+ several years ago per vol, now it can't even break 1 million in the first week, LMAO

Chainsaw Man will be a heavy hitter versus Jujutsu Kaisen and Kimetsu no Yaiba if MAPPA makes a quality adaptation. It's surprising how far he has managed to get without an anime

Demon Slayer continues to slay~

Pleasantly surprised to see Tokyo Revengers so high. I'm loving the anime right now, hopefully I'll get around to the manga sometime soon.

As expected Demon Slayer continues to stay top. I'm grateful to see Jujutsu Kaisen trailing behind and surprised to see Chainsaw Man at #5. I expect to see a huge boost in sales once the Anime is adapted.

"I think I wanted to attack something. Like betraying people or hurting people. And, well, it's not exactly nice, but hurting the readers too... In all honestly, I feel that's what I really wanted to do. For me, as a reader, when I think, "this manga will remain in my heart," it means, for example, it phenomenally hurt me: It's those kinds of experiences I'm after." - Pajime Hisayama (My favourite hurting author).

KnY empire is sure incredible. I don't think jjk will be able to take #1 from KnY for 2021. S2(every shit after S1 is amazing as well) will give the sales a major boost. There are also a very high probability of another 'ep19' plus it is KnY, every thing it has done so far is like a miracle and was unpredictable. Also Jjk's anime boost seems to be fading.

Jjk might take the #1 spot for 2022. This are just my predictions though. I might be wrong in future ofc. TR and chainsaw are also tough competitors.

woah... didn' expect that kny still on the top spot. i thought it was jjk but it was pretty close too so maybe it can overtake the top spot on the second half.

anyway im curious about one piece case, how many OP volume that released in a year? also, were the previous volume of OP still getting published/reprinted? i often found some people that getting upset with manga sales chart because OP is lower than some title and complainning that OP only have few number of volume released compared to another title

y it was miracle but jjk valume sales broke record too like most selling valume in intial print with 1.5 copy:xD
so yeah jjk will definitly get KNY after valume 17 and 18(but both of them are my favorite series)

Interesting to see Yakusoku no Neverland in 6th despite its terrible anime adaptation. It's possible the bad anime made more people want to buy the manga and find out how it should have gone, instead of the dumpster fire we got instead.

Lmao. KnY still rocking the sales even after ending a year ago. If it had gone on for a 2-3 more years it even had the potential to catch up to One Piece. JJK is also getting popular but it still needs that "blow-up" that KnY got....

not even close... it needs to go for like 10 more years or until it reach around 50 volumes selling at least 10 million each to surpass the current overall sales of one piece
