Well, that didn't erupt too far between Alan and Jail. Plus, his investigation in this different world starts to make more progress.

The students including Mei should be wary what they really signed up for. That world is unpredictable and honestly, about just anything could happen. I find this arc is getting darker although some of the usual comedy is still present. The beach part came out of nowhere and ofc Licht got super excited about swimsuits.

Time for my favourite show of the year, Plunderer. Left on a cliffhanger last week, can’t wait to see how this one goes.

Very bold play from Jail to reveal that he’s from the future. That flashback really resonated with him and showed how important Captain is to him. There’s also the whole potentially changing the future negatively by telling people you’re from the future thing..

Seeing the current state of the world is really sad. Kida begging for food always hurts :(

Wait holy shit. That’s his dad?? Didn’t see that coming. Another dope twist from this series

Yay, a beach episode. I get to see my baby Firenda https://imgur.com/a/x3GFej0

Wow, Schmermann seems to really genuinely care for the students’ wellbeing. When he was introduced in the first cour he gave off pure evil vibes, but protecting kids seems to be genuinely in his nature. Something must’ve happened causing him to snap later on.

Great episode overall, some cool reveals and set up for next week. Can’t wait!

Some more build up and insight towards the whole backstory this arc of covering. Licht was a pretty cool guy back when he was still Rihito. Same personality of course but I respect his noble spirit with the class. Despite his shenanigans they still all trust him since he's shown to be a great leader. Following through with that "army that doesn't kill" mantra. Kinda crazy how Jail revealed they're from the future to Alan. There's done bigger connection between them which got heavily alluded to in this episode, gotta be an ancestor or something like that. But telling Alan the truth worked out since Nana can do crazy stuff with her powers. Looks like Alan will be helping them specifically. Nice day at the beach with capture the flag game. Licht held tight to that army that won't kill philosophy. even against Doan still just outsmarted him instead of brute force. Now finally getting to the experiment that changed Licht so much to how he is in the future.

Right? People will bitch about the smallest things these days too that I don’t even notice. They’ll be like “the animation quality could be better” - acting like everything has to be up to par with ufotable’s unlimited budget. Literally the only time I’ve ever been bothered by “animation quality” in recent years is SDS season 3. Otherwise it’s hard af to tell the difference imo lol

General Alan can be very grumpy when someone takes away his favourite stuff XD Commander Jail seems to know how to handle the situation very well.

Can't mess with overprotective father! Commander Schmelman will do everything to protect his dear children at any cost, and I admire that!
I felt that commander Firenda is up to something just by observing at that suspicious look. It seems it isn't all! It will need to sacrifice one of the students, even if it's agains Mr. Schmelman's will >_> I think this will be the origin of Lincht's appearance...

This was a ok episode.

I find it kinda sad that his anime turned off a lot of people with early episode but now it got so good.
Considerign stuff happening now and next eps preview, it seems things will move pretty fast? I expected them to stay in school until the end of this season, but now idk.

All great anime's must have at least one swimsuit episode! Ahem, anyway. Good stuff. Looks like the waste wars of the past / current future were basically an organised genocide between nations due to lack of resources. Dark stuff indeed.

This arc is just so good. It's getting darker each episode. And knowing things from the future, like that Schermann is an asshole makes it so much better.

The relevation of Captain Alan and First Lieutenant Jail's link has certainly opened for more about Althing, and the condition of the world 300 years earlier. As for Major Schmerman, things aren't as clear of now of the Waste Wars, but preparation is necessary.

And of course, even under resting beaches and swimsuits, training is still mandatory, if Licht's class if they were to be "the army that does not kill".

The Project Ace...what is the eventual fate of Licht and the rest?

Welp, we know how the experiment on Rihito goes...

I wonder if that plays a large role in pushing Schmer(l)man over the edge?

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

God why is the anime adapted this arc so fucking rushed? I thought EP14 is already bad enough but this episode is even worse. They clearly ruined this arc with that rushed as fuck pacing and some unnessacary fillers (The mock battle filler in this episode is fine, tho).

Why the fuck the anime skipped Shumerman's fights? I know his fights was mean to be a training, but it does shows how riducious strong Shumerman is without actually being serious:

Also, why are they skipped a lot of important scenes in this episode (And EP14 as well)? What's even worse is they totally skipped all of Nana's flashbacks videos inside the memory card in this episode. I would be fine if they just skipped Nana's "love" adventure flashbacks as it's irreveant to the story, but even the explaination of why Jail and the others even sent back to the past too? These scenes is quite important to the later story and explained some stuffs:

I also have no idea why they skipped Douan's dialogue about the Non-Killing army and just simply let him said it's impossible in the anime:

I hope these scenes will adapt in the next episode instead of skipping those since they didn't adapt it in this episode (Since Jail is standing beside Sonohara on the EP16 PV):

Not sure why they cannot understand the allthings betrayed them? Also is very telling on what is prepared in the real world. Read the Georgia Guidestones first rule and understand it means killing 95% of the people

Well, that suck... skipping these scenes really a mistake done by anime stuff.
And from my experience they very rarely add skipped scenes in next episodes.

So after the bath scenes we had from the previous episode, we just had a short beach event : why not, it surely fits Licht's finest hobby eheh

However I'm kinda surprised by the way they pictured the citizens being so poor. It looked kinda ironic or even mocker : I found the real situation taken very lightly.

Hey, Plunderer, which of the following do you hate more: your viewers or basic storytelling in general? Just when you think this show is finally trying to get its act together and do some progress on the main story, it does a step backwards and indulges in some of its worst vices, namely out-of-place comedy and gratuitous fanservice.

Why can't Jail be the main character? He's the only one interested in getting to the bottom of this mystery; unfortunately, the story is more interested in getting him to play second fiddle to Rihito, who doesn't have any coherent characterization and just does as the story asks. Rihito suddenly proves himself to be a good commander, even though he's a sleazy pervert, and even volunteers for the secret project that will likely turn him into the Licht everybody knows.

When history looks back on Plunderer, it will only find good intentions and untapped potential. Any hope I had for this show to end on a high note is gone and I'm just counting the weeks until Plunderer ends so I can move on with my life.

Ah the beach episode, I wonder if this series is trying to go through each anime theme at this point. Rihito's plan was pretty stupid if the opponent team decided not to move...
