Ah I got a war-like vibe from this episode with the humans/youkai conflict. With the series' finale, they managed to showcase both sides' firepower.

These last few episodes ha been pretty intense so this one was no exception. Seems they managed to get a decent amount of important characters for this final episode including the blonde witch. The entire world is stake so the episode definitely felt like a finale imo. It's also good to see Kitarou again.

I'm just OK with the ending, but I still couldn't get why it took that long to remember. I mean, with the entourage and all, and that photo.

I had never heard of GeGeGe no Kitaro until I played it's Famicom video game adaption -- reskinned as Ninja Kid for the NES. When I've heard about this series rebooting in 2018, I thought I give it a go. It was a nice show for learning about the youkais.

That post-credit scene was great. That onsen picture hit right in the feels, and the Medama Oyaji emoji "waving goodbye" + the read notification popping up was clever. They stuck to the modern technology/social media theme to the very end.

I thought that Mana's memories would become the price they had to pay for bringing Kitarou back. It would have been a perfectly "fine" and bittersweet ending, so I'm a bit disappointed, but also glad that she got her memories back. I guess those ten years became the price they had to pay instead. Well, it's over. This was my first time watching Kitarou and I didn't know what to expect at first, but I'm so glad I decided to watch it. It wasn't perfect, but it was great and it didn't shy away from delivering the messages it wanted to. I want to believe it had a positive impact on those who watched it. I can't believe it's been two years already though... I'm glad and excited that Digimon is coming back, but my Sundays aren't going to be the same anymore. Here's hoping we get a new one by 2030.

Mana losing her memories almost made me cry, usually I don't like human companions but I liked her a lot, I'm gong to miss waking up on Sundays to watch this show.

This was a quality show with interesting stories, balanced characters and positive messages. It's been a constant in my life for the last two years -- part of my Sunday morning routine. I have a much deeper appreciation for Yokai now.

The show was great and the Mana/Kitaro relationship was awesome.

One day, there will be a new GeGeGe anime, I'm sure adult Mana will be there too

The part where Mana gave her memories to get Kitaro back had me in shambles. His spirit gun blasting away Backbeard was awesome! Nurarihyon deserved a slow painful death but he took the easy way out. I so glad Mana remembered all her yokai friends in the end. That last text with them in a picture was sweet. Watching this for the last two years was so great but now I just feel empty knowing it's over. I still hold hope that one day this will continue.

He's fine, but without his "boss."
He's like a bee drone without the queen bee.

I saw the memory loss coming, but didn't think it'd be 10 years before she remembered. Rushed though it may be, the finales of each arc always were, I liked the ending. An enjoyable series overall, with some pretty stand out eps too. Glad to finally have watched one of these. I'll check out the next series in 2030.

I've finally finished this series! That was a long 2 years of youkai ride!
Mana's memories was wipes-out, what a high price to pay! but eventually year 2030 in the future the was able to get it back!
Nurarihyon sacrified himself because he would not atone! really prideful true villain act!
i never knew Sunakake Babaa was a brilliant hacker!
what Kitarou did was same as genki-dama of DBZ! lolz!
5/5.
8/10.

Great anime ending. Uno de los mejores finales que he visto. Voy a extrañar a Kitaro y la compañía de Mana. También a esta neko-musume. They made cry with the time Mana can remember Kitaro but to the end in the 2030,her memories come back. I was a journey this series,i hope a new series is as good as this in the 2030.

If it weren't for me happening to notice @Akarinnnn mentioning a post credit scene, I would've written something here before watching through the ED.

What a perfect book-end to the series. I loved this anime thoroughly, and while I was originally going to give it a 9/10, I think I'm going to bump it to a 10/10. I can't really say much different from what other's here said, I thought the ending was great, and I'm glad I watched this anime all the way through.
Opinions are opinions, and differing opinions can co-exist. 🙂 But I don't do debate, life's too short to spend time debating people.

This was much better then I expected from a modern remake. Might even be the best Gegege series so far.
You all need to watch Nami.
