| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty meh episode. Just a lot of buildup again with the Goddess, dialogues, etc. Elizabeth and the others are still moving together with their plan to get back Meliodas and others. This might of been the most dull episode so far imo. At least Merlin looks great in her holy knight armor I guess. |

| The teachers are safe... because the power is not awaken. It seems to be dangerous to use the sword without being awaken. Sakamoto-san's character saved the young king, who already got controlled and killed by committing suicide. Talking about how she trained him when he was little. Sugita-san's character jealous of young king because she thinks of him an important person. Sakamoto-san's character likes goddess's hug. The cat w. young king is sad. Meeting to meet their goals. KajiKaji's character already got some power back. Doll guy fixed. It seems like there's people under Ishida-san's character's spell, and one of them rudely pushed a citizen when departure. War beginning. About that spell controlling people this time. |

| King Arthur has the Holy Sword Excalibur, but not even that CAN save him from brothers Meliodas and Zeldris (along with their teachers) immense power. And man, doing the manga dirty just doesn't cut that also with manipulated Arthur's death. Even by Merlin's beard, all that just to see his imminent death is selling his character short. What an L. All that the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins need now is a recourse with the Kingdom of Liones and also with Stigma to end the Demon Clans's full takeover of the Commandments. The beginning start of the Holy War...the calm before the storm. But NGL it's quite boring, can't wait to see some "action"! |

| Based on the remaining number of episodes, I'm concerned. They'll either end it right after the fight ends but they'll have to rush in order to do so, or they'll end the season in the middle of the fight. Either way, it's not looking good... |

| I feel like Arthur's death could have been done in a much more dramatic way. Right now I feel like I'm watching the Sparknotes version of what the Seven Deadly Sins Season should be. Like I just feel so distant from the characters, which is something I never experienced in previous seasons. It's disappointing to see how far this show has fallen, it had so much potential to be a modern classic. Escanor's love for Merlin kinda seems like it came out of nowhere and is a bit forced, since pretty much everyone in the team is pairing up with each other. I give this episode a 2/10, there was a lot of entertaining elements in the story but it was poorly presented. :( |

| I will be extremely surprised if Arthur stays dead, cause otherwise that whole segment with him acquiring Excalibur and fighting Meliodas was sort of a waste. Not to mention incredibly anti-climatic. If the sword is still in him, for some reason, I expect it to work as a catalyst and awaken his power and revive him. I sort of thought it'd happen from him being pierced, but I guess it's more of a "right time, right place" sort of plot device. Anyway, what the heck was Escanor wearing? |
