There is plenty of content left. Please dude, it was a rhetorical question. It would be naive to underestimate what people are capable of and of course I know guys AND girls who lie through their teeth, usually on their own accord, or they adorn themselves with fake stuff and eventually end up believing that they're something better due to that, simply because they didn't have a reality check. Still, most people are somewhat aware of "being fake", they just supress it and nobody cares enough to force the truth on them, because it's usually about trivial matters. However, the case we have at hand here is a bit extreme and not comparable with any of that, only someone truly mentally ill (like Malty) would be capable of that. Hence I used the rhetorical question to put emphasis on how irritated I was while watching that part. I'm not a psychologist, so anything I have to say on this matter doesn't have much value. While I do agree with you that fake memories are a thing( as far as I'm concerned I experienced this myself) it's about the extent here. Malty did so much shit, fully aware of it, she even planned it, that's something different compared to just plainly confusing some memories. Or let me sum it up in one sentence. A pathological liar most likely suffers from some sort of mental illness. It would take an evil person to carry out what Malty did, but if you keep lying in order to deceive/convince others and yourself, even tho you know that you've reached a dead end, then additionally, soemthing has to be wrong with your mind. I mean, there was nothing she should'vee done in that situation, but confess(That's what a reasonable person would've done, especially if you consider the prospect of lighter punishment, the said, you also gotta consider the pressure of the situation and the despair she must've felt. I admit that it's also an factor that should be taken into account.) Unless either she was really convinced that she did nothing wrong = mentally ill or she kept lying despite knowing in what kind of situation she was, which would make here even more delusional = also mentally ill or at least something gotta be wrong in hear head, which would just a different way to describe a person with a mental illness. I mean, if you simply break the term down to it's essential meaning then it's basically just a personality disorder. And btw, I don't think that a mental ill person shouldn't take responsibility and get a free pass, everyone should get punished or treated accordinlgy to what they did and their circumstances, but this is an entirely different matter which I don't feel like discussing. also what's with your hateboner against women? Disappointing, i wanted both the cuck and the whore to be brutally and painfully tortured to later be killed after enough weeks passed (bonus points is torture would be broadcasted for public's entertainment). Letting them go, only infamous, will result in following: They'll show up to backstab shield hero again. Mark me words. Killing traitors is the safest solution, who's to say they won't cause issues again? And why, of all people, was the shield hero who went all soft and empathetic? He should've be the very torturer and executioner for what he'd been put through! He should've demanded blood, screams of agony, miserable pleas of sparing those scum's further suffering. |

It was a good episode but again anime removed naofumi evil persona and switched his roles with the queen. It was naofumi who suggested that they should be executed and the queen tries to convince naofumi to give them any punichment but at least spare they lives. Again wasnt bad episode but this anime isnt a LN adaptation but more of its own source. |

The satisfaction of this episode was VERY high. =D It's tough to call a trial in the queen's case, as the ones on trial for their crimes were her own husband, King Auldcray, and her own daughter, Malty. She kept her nerves in check was was able to declare a verdict of guilty and sentenced the two in question to death by guillotine. The curse mark that was placed above Malty's breasts showed us when she was telling the truth or lying. The price she paid when she lied must've been very painful for her, but after what's she's done to Naofumi amongst other things she's done, she fully deserves the pain she got for lying. At the arena for the death sentence, the queen was able to throw the opportunity away, but Naofumi came along to offer her a different alternative to punish the king and Malty. After verbally humiliating the two once again, he suggested that both would be kicked out of the country for good, renamed as "Trash" and "Bitch/Slut" instead. Savage... XD I know that some people here would be disappointed that they weren't beheaded, but what Naofumi did was to give them a harsher sentence, where they would suffer for the rest of their days alive roaming the lands, with new names to reflect how much the both of them are scum. That sort of sentence is more brutal than a normal execution, but it's the sort of sentence scum like Trash and Bitch deserves. =P Only four episodes left now. Who knows where the story will lead to next, but I'm a bit saddened that Melty won't be with Naofumi's group anymore. Her crying smile at the end felt bittersweet, but she'll see them again someday. |

I'll start simply by saying that this was an absolutely fantastic episode, from the voice acting to the animation, the direction, and everything, the last time I felt this immersed in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari was during the first 5 episodes, and I've been waiting for something of the same caliber ever since, they sure took long enough, and they mostly delivered on more than I was expecting. We can all agree on how much of a B-word Malty really is, but I really started feeling bad when she was being exposed on all of here whory shit, but not until she started begging Naofumi for forgiveness whilst maintaining an absolute Bitchy disgusting face, I literally screamed “cut her head off”. But you know what? Naofumi made the right call, shame those two mofos. It really felt immensely satisfying and I truly was not expecting it to be to this degree. I'm glad wit this build up, and I hope the last 4 episodes are on par with the same quality. |

This is so cringey, it's the rage and anger version of seeing a poor abused puppy in a commercial ending up in a nice happy home. This is the fantasies of a bullied child who could never actually stand up to their bully. Extremely artificial, poorly done justice porn. It's a failed version of GoT's walk of shame. |

MouradSME said: Toucanbird said: ReaperCreeper said: So now that the revenge porn shtick is gone what's even left? Before anyone answers, that's rhetorical, they aren't gonna do a lot in the remaining 4 eps. Probably would have been better to end the anime here. If it follows the manga... ]The four heroes are informed about an island that will allow them to power level to prepare for the waves that are going to get exponentially harder. Naofumi is going to meet a pair of “adventurers” that don’t believe he’s the Shield Hero and they are rather OP. Naofumi discovers a Dragon Hourglass at the bottom of the sea. They end up fighting the next wave at sea (as is foreshadowed in the OP). The return of Glass. But I do agree. I do think it would have been better for the anime to end here for right now...but the one thing I will say is the next arc is sort of isolated in regards to the main plot. It doesn’t really tie in that tightly with this past arc or the arc following it. 4 episodes won't be enough though, right ? I think they'll end it here- it's very possible next episode will be a recap, but hopefully not. They're probably gonna go for a second season, you know how the Anime industry work (for those who don't, I recommend watching Bakuman :3), but if so I hope the quality doesn't drop. They could probably fit it in, but it might be a bit rushed. This series is slated for 25 episodes, so they’re certainly not going to stop it now. I think what they might do is do half the arc where they cliffhanger it on Glass’ return to set up for the big showdown in the next season. I don’t exactly like them doing that, but I could see them doing it. I don’t agree with you that the next episode or few will be recap episodes. The title preview for the next episode (as displayed at the end of the episode) was the four heroes council (or something like that), which is in-line with how the next arc starts. I honestly think they are going to try to fit the next arc into the series. It’s not a super long arc, so I think it’s doable, but I am afraid that with four episodes left, they will be cutting some stuff that could hurt the quality a bit. |

I'm one of the guys that read the manga waaay before the anime was even anounced, and when theanime was anounced, tis episode, this is the episode I wanted to watch, I have areally good memory, I remember every anime/manga that I watch/read so I never really need to reread or rewatch anything , yet, I watched this anime, soaking up on the hate for bitch, trying hard not to spoil anything for anyone, just to watch this episode to this day, I still concider code geass as my favorite anime (have watched almost 2000) and i still that is the best ending in an anime ever(you'll never top the 10 years I discused that ending with the same passion I did when I first watched) yet, this episode, better said the manga chapter from where this episode was based from, when I read it, I felt a satisfaction so great, so deserved, a pure bliss, the rest of the manga is generic, kinda good at best, buth that, for that's the true end of the series, and ending almost at code geass r2's level of satisfaction, almost, ofc not even 1/10 as great as that one, but in pure satisfaction, in a pure FUCK YES kinda way, i love this arc ending, too great of an ending for a meh series (objectibly speaking ofc, you think i watch 2000 animes being elitist? Man this was disappointing. This episode was the episode I was waiting for and now I'm pretty pissed. I liked the way the manga did it. The manga version showed Naofumi as a cold-hearted individual who proposed the execution of the two while the Queen was more badass. Instead, these 2 were watered down versions and seemed more sympathetic. Give me the "I don't give a shit, fuck you guys" Naofumi and the badass, "fuck the family" Queen back... Furthermore, how is the director planning on adapting the Island Arc into 4 episodes? That Island Arc is one of the best arc with the introduction of key characters and more depth of the story line. At this point, I've lost all hope with this director, he's about to ruin one of the best isekai ever created. |

Different thing happened in the manga. In the manga, Naofumi really showed his cold side in this part. Naofumi was the one who insisted the death penalty to be their judgement but the queen didn't allow it because they were still former 'royalties'. Well it didn't change the fact that their names was changed. Oh boy, karma is surely a bitch. Watching this episode soothes the soul. That spoil at the end will be the next arc. As a manga reader, I already know what's going to happen but there are 4 episodes left. I feel a cliffhanger in the end. |

It kinda irritates me that all we get are childish humiliation plots instead of actual payback but OK. And all the other heroes are still annoying. Not Kirito is just as dense as before, Spear completely abandoned Myne which was really disgusting and a poor show of his character, and Bow is just like, "OK great, where's the party?" like idk... Not gonna lie, I actually felt bad for "Bitch" and "Trash". Especially Trash, since he was kinda cool in his last moments not begging for help and instead, still kept his belief (hatred) towards Shield Hero. I never hated those two from the start, only a bit irritated. I knew they were acting like that because of the writing. Quality-wise, it's good. It went back to how episode 1 was, with emotional roller coaster and all. It felt like the contents in-between are written by a usual isekai author considering how bad mediocre they were. I saw the above comments complaining how they changed the original content and such, but neither version is better imo. One is edgier with driving Naofumi's personality into more of an anti-hero, while the other one caters to mainstream audience. But both of them are resolved fast by Naofumi forgiving Bitch so there's not much character personality to be involved in later story either way. The real question is, what are they gonna show in next 4 episodes? This is a very good stopping point to take a break from the series but somehow they're gonna continue? All I can see is rushing an arc in just 4 episodes or ending in a cliffhanger mid-arc, teasing a 2nd season. Either way, they have real pacing issues. |

this episode was satisfying. Though I would have liked to see Naofumi more hatefull. He seems like the generic good dude now while everyone else sux and is weak without him. Seems like the novel went more in that way. Why cant we have MCs with real downsides anymore. Why is everyone actually a nice guy.. Not gonna lie. Would have liked to see them die. The bitch more so than the king. You could say what he did was wrong, but he was played by his bitch daughter very hard. PS: I fookin hate those mangafags here. Just leave us alone if you hate this show so much. Sort of interested in reading the darker version of this story now. While I still enjoy the anime it has wasted so much potential its nearly on the level of generic seasonal. |

I must've missed the next ep. preview. Thankfully, the show is popular both overseas and in Japan (which is a more important factor than foreign popularity I guess), so I think that a sequel may be on the way.. At least, that's what I hope... |

So I waited 21 episodes for naofumi to pull that "OH They FUcked My lIfe Up But Im Going To GIve Them Mercy BEcAuse Reasons!"bullshit? This is stupid. Myne and the king betrayed their own people and kingdom, Naming them "Bitch" and "Trash" is like the weakest punishment ever for a crime like this, ugh. Truly disappointed.. Guess i'm going to read the Novel / Manga... this anime started to suck. |

I thought that the series was sort of losing it's flair at points, but oh boy, was i wrong. The way that everything came together in this episode was simply put orgasmic. The next 4 episodes will probably lead to a monumental cliffhanger that will lead us on to season 2... Hopefully |

Nice! I agree with the new names, Trash and Bitch. Thank god the queen didn't need to offer up her life for those two scums. |

FMmatron said: How can someone lie so pathetically till the very end? This triggered me for real. And honestly, this episode played out even worse than expected. Not the conclusion, but the cheap fanserviceesque portrayal of revengeporn. No respect for the story whatsoever. Only satisfying thing in this episode was the redemption of Naofumis name and the appreciation he got. Exactly this ^ This series has gone from average to really bad. Haven't read the source material so I don't know about that but the anime is a trainwreck for sure. |

Im not a LN reader but I liked how Naofumi wanted to kill them in the source material. Hard to see how anyone would be so forgiving. But I did feel bad for Myne when she was begging Naofumi for her life. xX_Katharsis_xX said: Does anyone know the ost that played after or I think during the part where naofumi saved them from execution The second half of the OST called "Dawn" comes out on June 19th so we wont know until then at the very latest. I loved the music in that scene too. |

It's weirdly satisfying having the king and princess get punished. I do not like the cheap writing and solution though. I mean, "bitch" and "whore"? Is that the best writing Shield Hero has to offer? Really getting the "alternative moral narrative" there, huh? |
