I don't really know, when I started I only knew battle shounens, but later I discovered other genres like slice of life, seinen, psychological. I never liked ecchi, harem and that stuff. SPOKON, I almost forgot about that, discovered that this genre could be great. |

| I'm 45 and I consume anime since I was a kid...not many titles were available then tho. I can watch almost everything. Have some aversion to battle shounens, sports and melodrama but naturally there are exceptions. Would prefer watching sci-fi/mecha and detective titles but there few nowadays and even fewer good enough. |

| 20 years old, I only started seriously watching anime a bit over 2 years ago. I usually watch popular and/or highly rated shows, as well as whatever seasonal anime catches my eye. I'm open to watching almost anything but sport, idol and harem anime are probably my least favourite genres atm. |
| I'm 22 and I've been watching anime for about 9-10 years. I pretty much enjoy any genre as long as the execution of the show is good, although mecha just doesn't really do it for me. If I'd have to pick a favourite genre I'd probably go for drama, comedy or (although it isn't really a genre) something realistic. |

But I like some dark anime, like Re:Zero and Steins;Gate Edit: Oh right actually I don't really like Hentai as a type. Bc they are always bad animated, also the voice acting isn't really good. I prefer Doujin and Eroge as a "cultural man sources" |

| 20 gonna be 21 in April, When I started liked everything, around 19 liked more psychological and I guess serious shows and now I watched K-on loved it and I'm starting to watch alot more SoL (slowly becoming my favorite genre) and comedy, but I still watch everything |

| I'll be 35 next week. I also didn't watch anime until my late 20s-- grew up on like Star Trek, Seinfeld, X-Files and Twin Peaks. Generally I like to watch anything that's not predictable, and preferably not set in a school. Thrillers are my favorite genre outside of anime. I usually write a mini review on my list when I finish an anime, so if you're interested in the "old man yells at anime," there's a lot of data there. |
