Living somewhere like California is my worst nightmare. I'm from England (which certainly doesn't get many sunny days), but whenever it is sunny; I'm flipping the bird to the sun and secretly wishing someone would Ice-Nuke the Sun. I'm depressing to look at, I know.

Pal, honestly, you need to start G.O.T right now. It could take 20 more years before the franchise is even complete, so, don't hold back your floodgates any longer, pal. The very first 4 Seasons of it are indescribably amazing. I recall dissing G.O.T before I watched it-- and when I finally gave the show a watch I was mindblown. Season 5 is garbage though.

Haha, never have I heard someone praise Breaking Bad so much. I'll say this, Seasons 4-6 are sublime, especially Season 4. I kind of didn't like the first 3 Seasons though, moreso Season 2 than anything (seemed to be entirely about Jesse's crackhead girlfriend, which I hated). Glad you have a show that you value above all else though.

Funny, I thought you had finished LotGH long ago (thanks for the wiki link by the way, I needed it). I'm flabbergasted that you still haven't completed Brotherhood, that's in my Top 10 shows of all time. I originally dropped Gintama at Episode 23, but, even when I had dropped it; I was always thinking about it, so, I thought f*** it, I'll try another 20 Episodes. God knows why I was so harsh at the time: the World, Characters. and Humour is God-tier!

Yes, later, my friend.

Hello, friend! I'm very pleased to see you're still on M.A.L-- considering the website has been rather screwed as of late. Yes, pal, I started the show; thanks to your recommendation. I watched around 50 Episodes before I got full-on burnt out on Anime. Today's the day i'm trying to get back into watching shows again (watched a bit of Gintama).
Allow me to state that LotGH is absolutely phenominal: Manly men, No plot armour, Politics-- what's not to love? It's perhaps my favorite Anime thus far, and I'm only half-way done. I just wish I were not so burnt out on the Anime genre... I'm hoping Gintama will refresh me; with its humor of hilarity.

Yang feels more alive and relatable to me than any live-action show Character I've witnessed, hell, even Oberstein is excellently written.

Breaking Bad better than any Anime show you've seen? Surely that isn't the case. Live-action stuff always bored me, hence why I seeked refuge in the world of Anime. I've genuinely only been impressed by Game of Thrones Seasons: 1, 3, and 4, every other show I've seen has been rather... dull.

Summer really isn't my forte. I adore rainbathing and building snowmen over the sand being between my toes :D. You have a prosperous Summer too, my friend. It was nice to see you again.

Take care.

I actually had to put Kill la Kill on-hold. It's too much even for me.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll probably start it next month then (I don't like to start new shows I know I won't be able to finish before the end of the year). It's been on my PTW list since.. 2014 I think. I completely forgot about it already. The fact that it's older doesn't bother me, I'm used to older art and animation. The problem for me is the length - I rarely watch anime with more than 50 episodes. But I was going to catch up on some longer shows too, so I might as well start with this.

And I see you liked Perfect Blue, so I'll also give you a recommendation - Sennen Joyuu, a movie from the same director (Satoshi Kon). It's probably his least known movie, but I honestly have no idea why it's so overlooked. Most people only seem to know Perfect Blue and Paprika, and Paprika isn't even that good. I think Sennen Joyuu really deserves more recognition.

Take care too.

Nice to hear you enjoyed it. I liked the second part more too (though I liked the first one as well). But I guess I understand now why you disliked the fight scenes and the first arc that focused on them so much. Even though I personally liked them in TTGL, I find it difficult to enjoy similarly over-the-top fights in Kill la Kill (both series share the same director) just because they're presented differently - weird clothes and tons of ecchi instead of mechas. So yeah, even though it's pretty much the same (so far) I like it much less just because of different presentation. I can see now how someone can be bored during TTGL just like I'm bored during Kill la Kill.

Oh yes, the scene was glorious. Personally, my favorite thing is Viral's developement in general. And I also love the ending:

As for AnoHana, I think it was a good decision to drop it. I was going to drop it too, and only decided to sit throught all of it to see the 'heartbreaking' ending scene people were praising so much. But it didn't make me feel anything because I couldn't take any of the characters seriously at that point anymore. I felt like they were getting more and more stupid, and the fact that the creators were very obviously forcing drama all the time wasn't helping either. If you don't feel for the characters now and if you're already questioning the execution, it won't magically change for better during later episodes.

Lol yeah that tidbit on my profile is 100% a joke. I'm only 17 though.

Thanks for the feedback!

The first 11 Episodes of Steins;Gate killed the overall score for me. Those Episodes were very 'Slice of Life' to me, and if you know me by now - I dislike Slice of Life-esque shows, despite their (mostly) realistic premises; I enjoy Mature premises, but Realism can really kill shows for me. Okabe is an overall favorite character of mine, and he's the sole reason I didn't rate the show lower than I did. The sleek Opening was great as well.

I adored the Characters and Humor of Gintama as well, and the Setting of the show is sublime! The reason I rate it rather poorly is because the Episodes I watched (1-21) felt like Filler Episodes to me. The Characters were always upto no good, and it was definitely funny, but it felt as though there were no consequences for their actions due to the show's non-existential story. I heard somewhere around Episode 30 that there's an actual Story-arc that takes place, so I'll definitely be going back to the show sometime in January (I'll be starting tons of Long shows at that point, including LotGH, thanks to you)

Shaman King was the very first Anime I watch, though, at the time I had no idea it was Anime (I was 13 at the time, and very close minded). I really enjoyed the show at the time. The show is somewhat divided into 2 parts: Part 1 revolves primarily around Training and Character recruitment, and Part 2 is Adventurous. Quite honestly, the Story is pretty damn good, as is the wacky Characters. The Animation certainly isn't the greatest, and the Dub sucks, but overall it's radically under rated-- perhaps due to its first segment, where the characters literally trained for 20 Episodes. Once the Story gets going its very damn enjoyable.

Hope I helped.

We agree on almost every series that we've both seen, except Steins;Gate. It's good to see someone deem Neon Genesis a rather poor show - not many people do that.

Stay away from JoJo for now. I watched that show whilst part 4 was still Airing, and I regret it-- because it's that good of a show that it's hard for me to live without it. Wait for more Parts, you'll need them.

I'm not sure if you've realized this, but the shows EVERYONE talks about are almost always the worst ones. Not many recommend Monster, but they'll recommend some School, all-female cast Rom-Com bullcrap. Makes it hard to find good shows.

Thanks for the recommend
I saw your list, you taste really like mine.

Hey ho.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.

Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.

The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.

I'll definitely check it out! The one thing about Hotarubi is the creator had made it in memory of a friend so it has a special aspect about it when you know that. ❤️ I will check it out for sure, thank you for the recommendation!

Thanks for the nice note! Sounds like we're probably close to the same age. I was in my mid-20s or so when I started watching anime. I wish I'd been able to keep up with it over the years! I know what you mean about the VHS quality. It was frustrating. Especially the fan subs that had been watched and re-recorded over and over and were such poor quality you could barely see anything. Much easier to watch a show from beginning to end these days!

At this point, I just can't wait to finish DBZ and move to GT and Super. I saw a few GT episodes back in the day, but not much and I haven't seen any Super yet. Gonna be a fun ride!

Thanks again for the nice note! Have fun!!!

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it into consideration for writing my next review!! I think it's very important to be self aware about these sorts of things & go in with a mindset that nothing matters at all the world is pointless we are a conglomeration of cells and atoms and electrons interacting with other electrons that are

I plan on reading One Piece next year, the only reason I'm not watching is because it's by Toei.

Yeah, DBZ/DB is the core of most anime today. Without it, Oda would have never drew the inspiration to become a manga artist, so kudos to Toriyama for inspiring great manga/anime.

Yeah, DB will focus on outer space and has a huge plot with the universe
