But the point is that it robs you of that tiny bit of impact that gets the arc rolling. It played a big part of that initial immersion for me. Yeah I get that I mean I got the first volume of the manga and just looked at the back summary and rating you already know its not going to be a kind slice of life about orphan kids finding families but knowing the specifics will hurt first time viewers experience of the first episode. Knowing what comes after the kids is pretty impactful the first time you see them in action (and I have no doubt it will be just as impactful in the anime). |
| If you ask me, the poster tells a lot as well, but this is not the first to have a synopsis this informative. Though I won't say its a good thing, what it says there is at least revealed earlier in the series, I suspect we'll get it on the 2nd episode. |

Just read the synopsis last night and I've been thinking about it ever since.... So at 12 years (B) it looks like you only get twice as much meat as at 6 years (A). I believe the resource cost from age 6 to 12 is considerably higher than from 0 to 6, so why not make the harvesting age 6 rather than 12? I assume there's a veal-like appeal, so 6 should be even more ideal, plus there would be much less risk of The Plot happening. Demons done goofed (This is just for fun and is not in any way a serious critique, if that isn't obvious) |

ANN has always had a better synopsis. At first, Takayuki Narumi is befriended by Mitsuki Hayase only because Mitsuki's best friend, Haruka Suzumiya has a crush on him; however since then, Takayuki, his pal Shinji Taira, and Mitsuki have grown to be the best of friends. Then one day, Haruka confesses to Takayuki her love for him. Not wanting to hurt her feelings, Takayuki agrees to go out with her. After a few incidents, their relationship gets intimate, even while Takayuki and Mitsuki begin to realize their feelings for each other. But suddenly, when tragedy strikes, things are never the same for these four friends again. |
