| Lol love the rendition of heavy labor in the distribution department. The assistance manager sure has impressive intel gathering skills. The fair's are an interesting idea. But the various versions that were shown sure were amusing.The power of reversible bookmarks cannot be overstated. An amusing episode that did well in showing the power that bonuses have on sales of books. |

| It was a good episode. The segment with the bookmarks was just hilarious. Also, seeing Honda preparing his own Pop-Up stickers at the end felt kind of heartwarming. |

| You know... as I watch this, I kinda realize that some people watching this in countries like the United States might not even really be attached to bookstores. Given the age we're in and the constant closing of bookstores, chain and independent, we already see that folks visiting bookstores is becoming a thing of the past. And while it's incredibly sad, I get it. Why waste gas going to the bookstore when you can buy the same book online probably for a better price? I mean, I would rather go in and get a book, but still, I do get the idea of online book buying. So then I watch this thinking like wow... visiting a bookstore and being able to witness these antics firsthand like this might become a rare occurrence. Suddenly, I can't help but frown a bit at the impending doom. I mean, you see these characters working so hard-- and of course, it's based off the author's experience so really we see how hard booksellers work, but then it's like you realize that it's all going to come to an end. ALL this hard work everyone is putting into their bookstore... if they were in the United States then it'd all be for naught anyway. Meanwhile, I don't know how bookstores in Japan are doing. |
