Anyways, it's a Longinus battle royale, and Cao Cao has the strongest sacred gear of them all. We also see Freed's brother Siegfried, who Xenovia used to know. And he has the very same sacred gear that Rias originally thought Issei had in season 1. There's also Leonardo who can summon anti-monsters that attack the weakness of enemies, in this case they used beams of light. And at the end, there was another one named Georg.

And finally, my personal favorite girl from the LNs, Le Fay makes her debut. She's the little sister of Arthur, and a fan of oppai dragon. It's a shame that

Fallen faction is the one with expertise on Sacred Gear, hence them sending Raynare to investigate. Rias is more or less a pleb in that field.

It's just a theory, but I believe the Fallen felt that a dangerous SG was in the area yet did not know its precise identity and sent Raynare to inspect. Raynare got her hand on Asia and decided to kill Issei before actually identify it, so she could have time to steal Twilight Healing.

Wow, drunk female teacher arrives. With that attack, the enemy group decided to pause the fight.

Getting separated and his enemy is the one he fought before. Shapeless armor? He's in pinch.

Yeah, but that should be the worst case, after Raynare actually knew what is inside Issei and confirmed that he'd go berserk.
After all, Azazel is known for cooperating with Sacred Gear users, not mass eliminating them just for having SG.
Not even knowing what the SG is and still killed the user anyway is more or less Raynare acting on her own. Ironically enough, if she did her job properly and somehow seduced Issei into joining Grigori, she'd be alive and earned a lot of merit as Red Dragon Emperor's handler. Guess it's karma.

Now onto a more on topic discussion, I'm a bit disappointed that the shadow user did not get to show off his shadow-portal trick, having it replaced by some kind of weird shadow whip? Guess they don't want overlapping with another character later.

Nah, the guy that Issei fought at the end of this episode. In their previous fight (which Life 3 flashed back), he was supposed to use his shadow like portal to redirect the attack from Gremory's household, an ability that carried over to his full body armor. The adaptation here look more like logia-type shadow power than portal.
Speaking of that battle, there's some shot in which Issei armored head looked too narrow. Hope they'd fix it in BD later.

In the LN he was played out more dangerous so not sure why they didn't expand on what his spear is.

eventhough most ppl say Dxd this season is bad (they only say about art style obviously)
but this story flow is good, even with generic and cliff hanger bullshit appear but still story flow really smooth compare Shit produce by TNK
still i didnt get about Issei's True Potential Sphere effect to another person (become molester)

Oh finally some action! That Hero Faction has some strong people among them. I'm not dissapointed so far! Kunou was not impressed with Issei's Dress Break skill XD

Le Fay Pendragon is cute!

Drunk Rossweiss is scary when angry!

Glad to see Koneko, Akeno and Rias to get some screentime as well, despite being seperated from the rest of the household.

Kunou is so adorable! Imo a great addition to the harem!

Onto other matters,yes,the art style is taking me a bit of getting used to,but the storyline in this is far more interesting.TBH,I'm liking this a lot so far,and it was nice to see Booblingual and Dress Break being used as a combo,very nice.
There is one small problem though,Le Fay Pendragon has instantly become one of my top 3 DxD girls ;)-and since ALL the Gremory family's girls are in my top 3(and Rossweisse,and Sona,and Tsubaki),its causing me some issues :)

Dang Le Fay was cute. There's just something about those oversized hats I cant help but find adorable.

Drunk Rossweise was great again and her attack looked like it was gonna be bad ass, too bad it didn't really have all that much of an effect. It did make the Hero Faction leave though, so maybe it was a good hit, but the team are just too cool to show it.

I'm really happy to see Le Fay in here! <3 She's been one of my favorite female characters in the LN, along with Ravel. :D Can anyone confirm who was the VA for Le Fay?

EDIT: Never mind. Just confirmed that the VA behind Le Fay's voice is Minami Shinoda, according to the Wiki.

Cao Cao and his gang were really strong. He's one of my favorite villains in High School DxD.

Great episode. We get some pretty sweet action for the most part. Cao Cao seems like a tough guy since he's holding his own against Azazel. Lmao, Rossweisse coming in still drunk and attacking. Le Fay is pretty cute and for some reason still makes me think of Dark Magician Girl for no good reason. Issei gotta fight first before regrouping with everyone as they try to save Kunou's mom.

Am looking forward to the next episode.
