Well just a few weeks ago the SAO s1 BD box sold 6 or 7k and it aired 5 years ago. I'm just saying that in comparison to other box sets that were released, it didn't really sell as much as it should have. |

Who the heck is willing to pay 30k yen for the box and other illustrations? I think they would have better chance on going to the auction or something. (Very cautiously. It doesnt have great source material, but beggars cant be choosers.) Yeah I have no hope NTR will sell anything worthwhile. Just having NTR in the name is enough to make people avoid it, and even readers of the manga probably weren't expecting any kind of animation for it, being so new and all. I think with Kuzu no Honkai being a thing, studios wanna branch out more into the darker romance stories. NTR isn't so much dark as it is really toxic, but it kinda fits the bill. Now Citrus is one of my favorite yuri manga, but even I feel like it won't be as successful as I'd like. I'm thinking it'll reach Izetta's level in sales and maybe a bit more. If anything, whoever licenses it overseas will definitely rake in more money, since I think it's far more popular overseas than in Japan. We still need way more information about it than we have right now, hopefully we get some kind of staff announcement soon. |
