| Anyone else felt the same when watching this arc? It is confusing as well with random characters being a part of it and not being introduced. |

| I didn't mind the arc, it wasn't great but it was watchable. I quite enjoyed the dodge ball match especially. |

| It wasn't that bad for me, I'd say the least interesting of all. I liked it more in the old version, maybe because the old version had an overall "darker vibe" in certain arcs. |

| Didn't contribute much to the overall story, just a fillerish training arc with a great value Kira Yoshikage as the antagonist. it wasn't in any way bad but pales in comparison to the Chimera Ant and York New arc. |

| Was it? I found the pace to be same as the previous arcs, things take a while to build up and lots of characters being introduced. Can understand though, the stuff with The Bomber didn't quite interest me that much. Liked it for Bisuke, fight against Bomber and the dodge ball match. |

| It wasn't bad by any means. It's just unfortunate that it's stuck between two of the greatest arcs in shounen anime. Also, this is probably just me, but aside from the parts involving Genthru, I loved all of the episodes. Especially the dodgeball ones. |

| It's not the worst arc since "saving Killua" arc is the worst one, but definitely not the best. I've started to really enjoy Greed Island when the Dodgeball event came up. Then Gon fighting the Bomber. |

| eh i still liked if for the creativity in battles and concepts(a supposedly video game world with lots of new interesting mechanics) it also helps that it focus on the relation between killua and gon one of the best aspects of the show |

| Never really found it that interesting, just dull and wasted, I hated all the card farming that went on. Also didn't find any of the battles that good either, except for the dodgeball game and gon's fight against Genthru. Now those were pretty cool. |

| I only watched Hunter x Hunter 2011 because of the Chimera Ant arc but the Greed Island arc was before so I already didn't like it. But the Greed Island arc actually wasn't bad at all. Like yea, it was kinda stupid but Bisky was funny as hell |

| Greed Island arc and Chimera Ant arc were mistakes for me. Plain and simple. The best part about Greed Island, was seeing Gon and Killua figure out how to get the game during Yorknew and the very early parts of the GI arc. The actual game arc itself was dreadful, pathetic, bloated, uninteresting, lackadaisical in terms of creativity and mechanics, and while it does serve as a training arc in a way, as well as show hints of who Ging was as a person, man the pacing and narrative was rough. Not even the final moments were good whatsoever for this arc. After easily the greatest arc in Hunter x Hunter, going into such a sluggish disaster that was this killed off a ton of my hype from Yorknew. And then we go from a slow boring arc to one of the most complex but atrocious and tedious experiences I've ever experienced in anime and manga with the Chimera Ant arc. Maybe if it was in a different story with a solid background, I may enjoy it. But this arc went far too long and was so uninteresting for 80% of its course, that the payoffs mattered fuck all to me. Other than the Meruem and Komugi segments, I did not care at all for the complex, intricate build since it was done in such a plodding manner with no real interesting or entertaining characters to somewhat keep me distracted or entertained to make me somewhat like the arc. No personality, although I can understand if people disagree with me here. No hard feelings. I love the original HxH anime and hell for the manga, I liked a damn solid portion of it. But it just lost tons of steam hidden behind 'creative, constructive writing'. I admire the effort and amount of thought put into them, but for me personally, it resulted in something that hurt the experiences of the 2011 anime and manga pretty rough. Even the original anime too when it only comes to Greed Island. |
| I saw this post and thought it was a new one, was going to inform op that it only gets even more boring once it hits the snorefest chimera ant arc. Edit: Chimera ant arc was so boring op gave up on anime altogether. lol |
| i don't think the arc wasn't good as the yorknew arc but wasn't bad as people saying. people that find the arc bored didn't really get the core idea of the series but looking for shounen action anime, that's how i think at least. |
