Oh I just want to say it..but this episode.

Gotta protect that smile. Can't emphasize more on that. The usual teamwork between Benio and Rokuro was a nice sight though and well, they almost feel like a family with Sae.

Aaaand Sae's blatantly obvious sacrifice made me feel absolutely nothing. -_-

Good job show, now I see our reward for enduring this arc is an entire Kinako-centric filler outing next week...lovely.

Well it was okay I guess.

Didn't really feel all that much but the final parts with Sae saying that she loved Rokuro and Benio and the final Ohagi man picture book was very nice.

After a full filler arc, We're getting more filler? Seriously? Worst part about this is that it's a Kinako centered episode.
I think I'll probably skip the next episode as well.

That Arima's assistant Mikage is obviously one of the evil, he was also at the spot watching when Arima was sealed. The mystery and plot continue.

If the story continues, there is a chance we can see Sae-chan again T.T she even call Benio mama. That Ohagi story book really brings out the emotional.

Unfortunately filler arcs can not simply make us feel too much and some of us will not feel anything at all. Especially when they introduce non-canon characters. We all know they are either going to disappear forever or die. There's no way they will make filler characters into canon.

Unless the series forces us to relive the fillers through flashbacks or references during canon episodes. They did that in Fairy Tail, although it was very brief.

More fillers next week? Seriously?

2/5- This show is dangerously close to being dropped out of pure annoyance of random mediocre to bad fillers. The canon material isn't even that great either. As each episode goes by, the less I care about this anime series and will just read the manga instead...whenever the hell the new chapters come out.

Seeing as how Sae was just a filler character, her fate didn't surprise me in the slightest, and I expected it for a while now. The last few minutes were sad, but like everyone else, I felt nothing. Now this arc that I couldn't care less about has finally come to a close, and right away we get.............even more filler......centered on Kinako..........for fucks sake.

Sae's fate was so predictable I didn't felt nothing. I'm glad instead that this arc is ended. But next week we have a filler starring Kinako... why?

The ending felt immature, considering we don't know what happened to Arima and Kuranashi or why did Mikage appeared at the end of last episode. I certainly don't want to see a continuation of this arc.Didn't really like how they made Benio ooc, like she is never that emotional with her happy expression. She felt like a different person throughout this arc. Even when they were crying cause of Sae, it didn't feel touching or sad particularly.
Tenma was the best part of this arc for me, although i wish they also animated his 19 years old appearance not just his 15 years old look. I can't wait till they animate arc from the manga.

I am very weak to these kind of moments. I was able to endure everything till the picture book came out.. I didn't cry as hard but I did shed tears.

FINALLY SAE CALLS BENIO MAMA WOOOOO

Now.. Kinako centered episode *sigh* ;-;

My thoughts exactly^^^^^
I couldn't get behind this arc or even during times when they tried to inspire cutesy family feels with Sae because of how OOC everyone was

Rokuro was always the one who was more upbeat and also more emotionally unstable...it's like their personalities were switched :/
It also made no sense that during the first half of the episode, Rokuro acted more upset about the thought of sacrificing Sae but when Sae actually went through with it, he's the one trying to be all calm about it while Benio was the one panicking. Where is the consistency?

Yes, so true. Its just hard to imagine those two as parents so suddenly just cause they are taking care of a child. They don't act mature enough which is normal considering they are 16...even though they used Sae to bring up those parental instincts, it just felt off.

2.5/5 for this anime original arc. Most of it was dull what with closing those dragon spots and introducing the Twelve Guardians but it had its moments. I'd still take this arc over the piss poor second arc in the manga that absolutely ruined Benio's character.

I wasn't crying during the sacrifice because all I could think of was "They just had to make the little girl naked didn't they?" I didn't feel much, but I guess it sucks.

Didn't feel sad coz it was destined to happen the moment Sae was introduced as a filler character.

Also, screw Ohagi-man ( ._.)/

It was so predictable even before starting the episode. It's too bad that they didn't try to create suspense because the episode was good. The last part with Sae's sacrifice and the end with the book were really well animated.
I found Benio and Rukoro reactions really realistic.

Even with the lack of suspense, it was the best episode of this arc.

Is it weird that despite this being filler I found it to be really enjoyable. I don't know I guess I'm a sucker for great character building. To me good filler does that. Despite the main plot really going nowhere I honestly continue to be invested in Rokuro and Benio's relationship. I mean I already knew where it was headed from the get go but getting to see them act like parents, even if it was towards a character that was going to be gone by the end of the arc, was great. You can tell Benio really grew as a person because of it. Rokuro less so but he seemed to mold into that fatherly role pretty seamlessly. Even with the next episode focusing on a minor character I'm willing to let it play out for now and see where everything goes.

I loved this whole arc and Sae was an awesome character!

Maybe its because I am a parent that I cried just as much as Rokuro and Benio did when they had to say goodbye to her and then saw the present she had left for them.

This may have been filler, but I enjoyed the whole story from start to finish!

I hope we get to see Sae again someday!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

I appreciated that they didn't succeed the whole plot armor thing with them doing resonance on the dragon spot. I know Sae is just a plot device but can't help myself but feel emotional at the end, especially when she finally called Benio "Mama"

Idk I find myself getting more emotional recently, these sort of scenes don't normally make me cry.

I honestly bawled. I loved this episode. Well, as a good anime episode I loved it. But as for ripping my heart out, taking a shit on it, throwing it into a fire, baking the ashes into a pie, shitting on it again, and throwing it into a bottomless pit, I hated it. I f***ing wished with all my heart that the mangaka (or whatever you call an anime-artist, if there even is a separate name for manga-artists and anime-artists) and the writer/director would rot for killing off Sae. I want to curl up into a ball and die, it was that bad. The feels hit me so hard, it was like one of my own, real-life family members died. I. AM. TRAUMATIZED.

god dammit why? I knew it was leading up to this, but couldn't they have figured out another way? Sae was so cute, man. T___T

1) Introduce cute and endearing little girl
2) Build a close relationship between her and Benio & Rokuro
3) Tear her away from them, and us
