Sara is too dense to realize her feelings for Kamille and still wants to be with Scirocco...
Good thing that the kids didn't go to the park~

I was kept thinking to myself, "Dude, what the fuck?" so many times in this episode, trying to figure out the reasons behind each characters' actions. In this case, either the director succeeded in what he/she wanted to portray, or I'm not getting it. The reasoning I arrived at for why Sarah did what she did was because she was confused and insecure with her emotions and identity. Even though I can accept that idea, it was still really bizarre what happened in this episode.

Sarah seems to naturally not fit in and struggle with her insecurities, but I wonder if Paptimus's influence heightens her inhibitions at all. Her spontaneous crushes are beginning to make more sense. I bet she has never really been exposed to kindness, but whenever she does see that in Katz and Kamille, she is more inclined to affection towards them. She doesn't understand herself well enough to understand how she feels on any meaningful level, though.

Even so, she's a slave to Paptimus, so she has to follow his commands regardless of her own will.

That's how I interpret her actions. Pap is a dog.

Sarah sucks, she's so caught up in her confused feelings for Paptimus and Camille that she doesn't care about what she almost did. I have no sympathy for her.

Sarah is just a whore, though I feel she's somehow getting manipulated by Scirocco. Kamille getting all the girls is pretty cool too, not even Setsuna did that.

I knew those kids weren't going to die. That would be a mercy on us viewers.

Sarah and Kamille kept giving me emotion whiplash. How hard is it for Sarah to reflect on everything rather than be an idiot slave for Scirocco? Then again, maybe Scirocco has charmed her to the point where all she can think is about him since she kept blabbering about him this episode.

Amazing episode!!

Even though i'm glad Char is now back with Bright's team, damn just one appearance and no more?!?!

And that get up Sarah!! Sexy as hell :D

I did lol'd when Kamille once again trying to impress Sarah. He's such a playavble, this makes it 5 now compared to Amuro who only have 4.

Damn so he wasn't able to diffuse the bomb on time. That's much better since they always succeed in their missions. Some failures are good once in awhile.

And he just punch Sarah's stomach like that!! She got knocked the fucked out!!

And what the hell is with Sarah. Why is she soo atracted to Paptimus?? Seems she didn't see Katz now which is for the better.

So the kids were there on the bathroom all along!! Damn you brats!

Can't wait for the next Episode! Please can we have Char on the battlefield in the next episodes!!!

Pointless forced drama to make Sarah reveal the Titans plan to bomb the space harbor. The rampant theme of women pilots (on either side of the conflict) not being actually fit for war is also starting to seriously get on my nerves. I know this is the 80's but damn (this is really becoming my catchphrase, isn't it?)

Anywaaay... Anyone care to remind me what's supposed to be the point of Sarah's existence, again?
Also why is everyone calling her a bitch? Afaik she was just doing her job.

I knew they were going to be used for wangst fodder but why are there even kids on the ship? One day char was just like "hey I brought some kids" and that was that. Mobile Suit Gundam did a good job with them being orphaned refugees from the colony they fled,
Camille's facial expressions and actions in general were pretty ridiculous in this one. I don't know whether I'm supposed to take that self-deprecating line about him being an "autistic child" (according to Anime-Supreme's subs. The dub said "neurotic kid") seriously or not.

"Paptimus' Soldier" sounds like some low rent erotic shipping fiction.

Sarah would have done a better job if she hadn't then given all the bomb info to the first guy who bought her pink ice cream. If only Paptimus had thought to buy her an ice cream to get to to promise to be quiet about where she hid the bomb, if he'd only thought to do that all the heroes would be dead. Ice cream, Paptimus, pink ice cream.

Just like I thought Sarah is the perfect target for any sect enrollment: unsure, out-of-place, feeling alone, clinging toward any little sign of kindness... too bad Guru Paptimus made his move first, Kamille would have reached her more effectively without that.
What's this " normality" he's talking about?? I'm pretty sure she clearly showed NT abilities in previous episodes, am I wrong? O_o

5/5

Next episode... "Axis"?! Zeon? *_*
By the way, they are "Mineva" 's followers? Isn't she around 7 years old? As much as I want to see Dohzle's offspring, that's way too young for such a role. (please, don't add another ridiculous elements in this series)

Gundam never really looked bad (except for the rare extremely off-model shot in the original series), but it has also never looked better than this. Great concept art, inventiveness everywhere and enough budget to effectively give life to Tomino's world. I am particularly impressed by the fact that the clothes in this series are bizarre to us yet somehow look cool - I imagine people from the 1800's would feel similarly about the fashionable clothes from the 1980's.

@Rei366 I think I finally understand what annoys me about Fa. She is an extremely simple person, even by action anime standards. She only says the painfully obvious, offers no unique point of view on anything and has an emotional complexity that is so small that if I had to store her mood in a two bit integer I'd have to use two states for "asleep". Nowhere has it been clearer than in this episode: her childhood friend, on whom she seems to have a crush, gave the cheekiest possible answer to "What are you doing, Kamille?" and they couldn't write a better reply than "We're here to look for Shinta and Qum!". She couldn't come up with a similarly cheeky sentence. She couldn't play along. She couldn't give Kamille a worried look and say "focus on the task at hand!". She couldn't even blush and smile. She could only take Kamille's answer at face value, state what their mission's objective was and walk away, seemingly unaware that he was trying to poke fun at her.

It continues the narrative, Fa centric, but their scope is less grand than usual, deserves the narrative, which tastes it also grew to a new report. Episode transition, but also the great importance for the main plot.

Man some of the characters and dialogues in this show make no sense at all...and the constant tagging on of mecha battles without any meaning to the second half of each episode is just tiring. Like the first season, ths series could have done with some trimming and some more focused writing. It's all over the place at times

My man Kamille is quite the bachelor if he managed to turn an enemy encounter with Sarah into a short date and make her start having feelings for him. Though knocking her out and declaring to never waiting to see her again aren't smooth moves.

This episode was very hard for me… my suspended disbelief was thrown away by stupid actions from both parties (Kamille & Sarah eating ice-cream like it was a date because screw the search party for the kids and f*ck it she was an enemy in addition to the epic imprisonment, why secure a prisoner like that, didn’t they learned from previous experiences)… *sigh*

Sarah made no sense in this episode. She saw the crowds of people she knew she going to kill, but only had a change of heart when she saw Kamille. He has killed her friends in combat, but she intentionally sabotages her own sabotage mission. Then she still has the gall to go back to the Titans. What does she even want.

Sarah looked GLORIOUS in these clothes. Awesome look, gives off a "spy" vibe, but also makes her more like an ordinary girl. I got a bit puzzled seeing her interactions with Kamille, but I guess she's as puzzled as me about her feelings.

Kamille: "If I'm going to die, you're coming with me!" - pucnhes Sarah in the guts (that was pretty cruel, unexpected for me) and proceeds to escape. Guess he wasn't going to die after all.

I really want Sarah to become a better character and just a good girl...but I guess that's not happening. Though it looked like she started to fulfill the role of Four (almost).
Kamille's facial expressions at the end looked ridiculous tbh. Though overall the episode was good, and I like Sarah when she's not Scirocco's robot. And again, she escaped SO easily. I guess confinement rooms don't exist on this ship (or, more realistically, nobody had time to escort her there due to an emergency situation).

even ignoring how poorly written Sarah is in this episode

the fact that a dumbass girl can just waltz in and strap a bomb to a major AEUG military base and almost kill an entire city makes this whole war seem like a joke. Why not just sneak a bunch of bombers into all the cities and bomb each spaceport until AEUG surrenders?
Covert ops are so easy in this series it's mindblowing that they're not used more often

Right, I can't believe how easy it is to just blow up a whole city like that. Just walk into a base, randomly palce a bomb in the pipeline and there you go.

But I think Sarah's character is intriguing at least. It's pretty obvious to me that she's being manipulated by Paptimus. That guy seems to have some kind of control over people (or women?) and Sarah's actions are a result of that. It's clear that she doesn't want to do all of this but she thinks she has no choice. I really liked her outfit in this episode btw.

Incredibly disappointed that the kids weren't killed off, cos they're incredibly annoying. As is Sarah and her flip-flopping to whatever the script requires her to do at any given moment, rather than having character motivations that have even the smallest amount of consistency.

Also, doesn't it hugely trivialise the entire war if someone can evidently just waltz in, set a bomb in the pipeline and blow up an entire city without even breaking a sweat? If it's that easy, there's no need for any of the mobile suit combat from a Titans perspective.

Another reason why this anime sucks happened on this episode, those two annoying/useless kids should have been killed off by Sarah's terrorist attack, for two reasons:

1: Fa's character growth would have been exponentially better if both kids would had died, or at least one of the kids would have died. They could have even made a killer revenge arc between her and Sarah, and eventually Fa's learning some typical 80's nonsensical nonsense, Kumbaya stuff of how revenge is bad or some such.

2: To remove unnecessary characters that bring nothing to the table, something that this show has plenty off already.

But alas, for a show that is always blabbering about that "this is war" and what not, when it's time to actually show us the audience/viewers a small bit of what war is really all about .... They chicken out and the kiddos have being hidden all along in Fa's shower .... Yeah, literally the kids were hiding in one of the first places a normal person would look for when looking for missing children.... The stupidity is strong with this show
