Gintama is one of the rare cases where the anime is more successful than the manga, proportionally.

Fab to see Mahoutsukai no Yome, Shokugeki no Soma and Chihayafuru among many others still selling incredibly well.

26. *28,464 *28,464 Flying Witch Vol.4

Only 4 volumes so far? Didn't realise so few, can get to reading before the anime starts then. Can also add to next months import list.

Bleach's situation is annoying because I believe it still has the potential to sell much more if it had another anime adaptation, or at the very least, more push from Jump.

I think so too and with all the volumes getting less sales an anime would boost the backlog sales incredibly.

Even though Gintama' in the top ten, it's still not that impressive :(. The next volume might do more since it has better chapters.

Haikyuu!!, Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Shokugeki no Souma are really showing that Shounen Jump is the boss!

Sales continued to fall with bleach anime, the increase in sales through the anime series works with new ,doubt it will work with as old as bleach series.

Bleach ah lost much of its sales, I doubt that has to do with not having anime, I think it's more that no longer very interested in Japan

Yeah, thats partially true, but an anime would still boost it and regain some of the old fans.

keep makin excuses but bleach is probably the best shonen now. It lost sales since the anime went away and the anime was a success

it is too far from the best shonen, their grades in the magazine are very bad, I think their bad rankings do not attract new fans in Japan

the last arc is very bad in my opinion

Ok thats not true. The Anime was cancelled because since 2009 Bleach was on a fast decline with the anime and manga. On 2012 they didnt see any profit in the anime anymore, because the manga and anime sales still dwindled and the anime couldnt help it anymore. But to be fair, the time when the huge decline began, was when the Fullbringer arc was in the manga, and thats considered to be the worst arc in bleach by far. I think an Anime would boost Bleach and at least get it to a better position than it is now, probably top 10 yearly sales.

Bleach sales started declining while the anime was still running! Also the anime popularity decreased to a horrible point where in a prime time was getting a lot of 1.5 rating per episode. If that is bad ratings? That was basically the reason the series was cancelled!

Here is a good scale for comparison:

Blue means Excellent Ratings (5.0 or Higher)
Green means Very Good Ratings (4.0-4.9)
Purple means Good Ratings (3.0-3.9)
Orange means Okay Ratings (2.0-2.9)
Red means Bad Ratings (1.9 or Lower)

This sounds crazy, but people think it was over after aizen, I hear people surprised the bleach manga is still ongoing.
I doubt they even know the fullbringer arc is canon.
They expect it to be like naruto and one piece with one clear goal but it isn't.
The anime taking a break is for the best.

Tokyo Ghoul will come out with a bang next week.

And woah! Black Clover has hit 100k copies!

It did mostly decline because of the anime being off the air. 2012 - 2015 are it's lowest sales.

Bleach had it's peak sales since it was published in 2009. So naturally the following years it sold less, which is not a real decline.

I'm sure it peaked sometime before oricon started releasing sales figures, volume 25 had a 1.3 million first print and it started going down from there.

Haikyuu and Assass Class being the Giants they are. Shokugeki still doing well. Black Clover broke 100k! And Toriko ever dwindling :/. Not that it's matter much, with the current progress it's pretty certain Jump have cancelled it and have given Shimabukuro a small buffer zone to finish up because it's been in the magazine for so long. Like others have said, I don't think it would hurt to advertise Bleach more. While I do think the latest arc is terrible, Bleach is a series that is way more enjoyable in anime form, so I do hope they can animate the final arc. Probably won't happen.

Funny seeing Shingeki wedged between a bunch of jump titles in the yearly sales XD. Ganbare outsider.

Bleach sales started declining while the anime was still running! Also the anime popularity decreased to a horrible point where in a prime time was getting a lot of 1.5 rating per episode. If that is bad ratings? That was basically the reason the series was cancelled!

Here is a good scale for comparison:

Here the site with all bleach ratings(using the scale with the colors): http://www.bleachasylum.com/showthread.php?1702-Bleach-TV-Ratings-(Which-Episode-do-you-think-should-of-been-rated-higher-or-lower)

How were fairy tail's ratings if I may ask?....

I only know about the ones before the break, they at the time Bleach ended were in the Okay scale, it soon declined to the values Bleach did in the end, and possible even got worse I believe.

Here a site with old ratings: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-350782/japanese-anime-tv-ranking?pg=51

Huh.

Probably not enough data to assume anything but I hope this means the popularity is still growing, albeit slowly.
