| 2015 has been an eventful year for MyAnimeList, with the start of a new beginning under the time and dedication of the people at DeNA. A big thank you to all of the devs at DeNA for their tireless, late night, and often weekend work! Whether you've liked or agreed with all the changes that were made over the last year, the fact that MAL is once again getting change is a really wonderful and positive thing. I'm looking forward to seeing the site develop and grow, and DeNA has many more exciting things planned for us in the upcoming weeks. Please look forward to it! I always must give a big thank you to you each year: all the members who participate in our community events, contribute to improving our databases, write reviews and recommendations to improve entries and help fellow users, and who make up the extensive fabric that is MAL. It always makes me happy to see users enjoying themselves on the site, and when people take the time to say a few kind words to me or message me with their thoughts and concerns. And finally, I must always say a big thank you to the ever-growing and dedicated staff. Even with around 50 volunteers, we still are overrun with additions, edits, requests, reports and problems. Please remember that they work tirelessly and for free – in the time they could be watching anime or interacting as a user – to keep MAL running smoothly so that you may enjoy it. A little consideration and politeness when making requests goes a long way. Our team is continuing to expand as well (when will the hiring ever end), so make sure to check out the open staff applications link in my sig for more details. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
