You fuck humans and vampires without any real worry and live similar to what humans describe mythological gods. Fighting people trained to kill you is often a joke unless your being taken on by hundreds, you become arrogant, bored, your main concern is status in your own, often very small society, so it's warranted even more so than Yuu's. | Episodes like this one are the reason I started to dislike the first season. Yu is such a shitty child. Thought he grew up a little because the first episodes seemed promising but I was wrong. They defined the orders before the mission for exactly that reason and he still didn't follow them even though he said he could do it. And Mika isn't even the slightest bit better than him... Really hope it was only this episode otherwise I really wasted my time on this season again. Ahh well at least Crowley and his two followers are fun to watch. Sometimes I even wish they'd stop playing around and just finish someone right in front of Yu or maybe even Yu himself. QWERTYFish25 said: agree. definitely better than all the human characters |

| Anyone who thinks either Yuu or Guren are dead hasn't watched anime before, lol. Guren might get fucked over at some point but he's not dead now. Yuu is annoying but I get it, he's meant to be traumatised and you don't think when you're traumatised. Not really his fault. Also, Shinoa fucking sucks and is a useless bitch and I hope she dies at some stage because I can't stand her. But Yoichi is the most likely, despite him looking like has the strongest weapon. |

I take it you haven't watched a lot of things. Unless you mean in the series, and even then no, Krul is better. She's only the leader because she's been there longer than everyone else in the group and belongs to a prestigious family (I know's she's basically been disowned but whatever). When has she ever done anything on her own? All the orders she gives to her squad are relayed from somebody higher up, and if she makes a decision, it tends to fuck the squad over (kicking Yuu out of the van comes to mind). She also never explains anything properly even though she knows Yuu's a reckless fucking idiot. She could've explained to them to not take more than two pills a day or it'll fuck you up, but no. All she says is "Yuu-san, you've already taken two pills today...!" without any kind of explanation as to what'll happen. Since Yuu is, again, an idiot, he's not going to work out that it might be a bad idea. |

In the situation they were in, it wasn't just a choice of giving up Guren or not; it was a choice of giving up Guren, or having roughly 10 more people die alongside Guren. Only in a shonen manga can a guy legitimately be so freaking stupid and not get killed. That Guren has never seemed to use his true powers also boggles my mind. He didn't know that he was gonna be sent to Ferid, who's probably his co-conspirator, and be spared. He might've gotten killed on the spot but he's somehow determined to hide his true power? Whoever's writing this script is clearly an unexperienced writer. God why do I still watch this series that meshes together all the cliches in the world... |
| Crowley really like throwing humans into other humans. Guren is captured and Yuu is dead, but thanks to the preview, neither of them are really dead. Hopefully Kureto's test subject arrives on time to save them all. |

| Lot of feels this ep. Great flashback (the OST made it even better). I like the fact that Yuu wasn't immediately able to handle the pills - most protags would "defy the odds" and go into beast mode, but nope, he just died lmao. Also, felt really bad for Shinya. You can tell how much he cares about Guren. |

| Damn and here I thought Yuu was finally maturing. His emotional duress is very understandable, but opting for a very significant risk of death for a powerup in their present situation and in that manner was an absolutely boneheaded decision. It's natural for irrationality to take hold when people are desperate, but even though he'll survive due to being the main character this was just throwing all logic out the window but it'll succeed due to his role in the story. But at the very least, we see just precisely the extent that he cares for Guren and the lengths to which he'll go for better or worse. |

| The remix that played at the beginning was fucking epic and produced some serious chills. And so did Yuu's determination to save Guren at any risk. Call that move stupid if you want, but it was the right move especially since we know Yuu can't actually die. Yuu is a walking shounen cliche but for once, the cliche really hit me. After that brief flashback, Yuu has to save Guren. |

| I know it's just a false flag, but I still hope that Yuu actually dies here, just because it would make such a great backstory for Shinoa taking over as main character lead, and Mika going perma emo rage mode. I guess I like the fact that they actually put Guren in a father sorta role here, but I think that would have been a more appropriate hint if it was placed in the first season, or much earlier in this second one? The timing is a bit too shoe horned, even if I don't think it's bad. I also don't understand why Mika would bother taking so many other people if he never needed them in the first place. |

Just when I was starting to like him too. I hope we learn more about the test subject. We keep hearing about it, but nothing ever comes of it. Great episode tho. Had me on the edge of my seat despite its flaws. 8.5/10 |
