NASA is preparing to reveal a “major science finding” regarding Mars on Monday, with the agency planning a special news conference to announce the findings.

What will the announcement be about? Well, you’ll have to wait and see, as NASA won’t be releasing any more information to the public until then.

Alien Fossils? i hope so

Interesting tactic. Might use it sometime.

As much as I want it to be something really pertaining to life like possibly a real ocean or remnants of an ancient civilization, it's probably just going to be some new bacteria or more evidence that there was water on Mars before. The media tends to get us hyped for nothing.

hopefully it actually does end up being something about flowing water. i doubt they'd put out another article stating "sup guys, we found some oxygen which means we can live here pretty soon!!!"

If there is flowing water, then it's certainly underground, but chances are it's life related.

Does NASA have money to be doing things like this?

Are they asking for handouts now?

We need to make the sun inhabitable, let's go.

They probably found some sort of bacteria tracing back to the time of sticks and stones, that's boring unless you're a nerd. Or maybe there was a shift in the atmosphere, and they're like, "What could it mean!?".

They want people talking, it makes them relevant, and that can't hurt.

And wouldn't it be odd if it just abruptly came out that there was actually an underground civilization in the core of mars, and that we snuck up on them and caught them siphoning water from the surface?

They will reveal some huge discovery, like Hitler's secret nest or so. Maybe even a colony of furious space cats preparing to invade and meow over planet Earth in near future.

Another rock formation probably they'd never reveal anything of actual merit or importance to the world. They don't want to give the Chinese reason to beat them there.

All jokes aside, can you imagine if it's that they found bacteria or some kind of living organism even if it's on the most rudimentary level?

But more than likely, it's something standard.

I just hope the day comes (within my lifetime) where they do announce that they found life on other planets or that they found strong evidence life once existed there.

Just to shove it into the faces of religious people who think Humans are special and that GAWD created an infinite universe just for us to look at the pretty lights.

There's a "Popular" Youtube channel called "TheVigilantChristian" where the dude seriously believes that if NASA or anyone ever discovers life on other planets or if aliens ever come to earth.....they are 100% demons and it's a sign that Jesus is literally on the doorstep of coming back.

So, actually.....even if NASA does announce something like bacteria or whatever....they can always blame demons and Satan on it.

Well the big annoucement is Mars has liqued Water, which is somewhat surprising and raises more questions.

If life has been found, so the public doesn't go nuts, it will be released bit by bit, first water, next air, then small cells, etc.

Though they also said Mars doesn't have any life for "reasons" they are starting to understand, so who knows the man raving on mars being nuked might be on to something lel.
