I really love it when we get to see the un-chibi Umaru in her home attire. It's really hard to imagine her un-chibi self doing all the crazy things like jumping on Taihei's face, etc... (^.^;)

Let's be honest here, who hasn't tried to look up how to fix the internet, only to realize that the internet is down in the first place?

My grandma wrapped an onion leek around my wrists and even around my neck when I was still about 2 years old, I was suffering from a fever at the time and there was no medicine in the house for kids. It worked but it smelled bad, I was too delirious to care though.

There isn't that much of a difference between Umaru as a little girl and Umaru in her SD form lol

I like how Umaru prefers being at home with her oniichan rather than staying at the manga cafe.

and compared that to the window in this image (window with a curvature compared to standard windows)

So does this meant Doma family lived in a penthouse?

Umaru is OP as shit, she recovers from a cold without rest no problem, then can literally beat the viruses out of people.

Also, how old is Taihei exactly? I always figured he was more in his early 20s like somewhere around 21 or 22.

But since the flashback of him in highschool was ten years ago that means he's more around 26 or 27.

Why couldn't umaru stay a cute and pure little sister forever like in the flashback T_T
Cause then the show wouldn't have a plot
As annoying and lazy as umaru is, she has a heart of gold, as clear in this episode

Rumors did say Umaru was the daughter of the president of the DOMA Corporation, so living in a penthouse isn't so far off. :o

Taihei got the sickness of Umaru, those viruses are scared of slackster imouto and went to onichan! Umaru fighting scenes those weerus were so adorably cool!!!
Stir-fried green peppers, potato salad, boiled hijiki seaweed & grilled salted mackerel looks all yummy to me! but green pepper hamburger steak? i wonder how that tastes?
So umaru is a chrome user huh? I prefer firefox cuz then it loads all of my tabs, it won't load at all unless you click the tab, while chrome...it loads all, hogging all the RAM and temporarily slows network connection because of all websites are simultaneously loading...anywayz back to Umaru...I'm also like that, instantly rampaging inside the house when my Ethernet connection would suddenly go down! haha this is more of an IT anime episode! look at that topology so basic but informative also!
That boy on scene 16:51 who is nodding-off and almost sleeping while working as employee at a MangaNetCafe looks like the male MC on Mankitsu Happening! -> i hope someone pervert could relate on me on this one...
Flash back past 10 years those three friends are really close! Child Umaru was uber adorable!!!
5/5.

Ahh, great episode! Umaru fighting off that virus like it was nothing ... then taking care of her poor brother :( It's nice to see she really does care ... and, well, stabbing people in the butt with leeks seems to work somehow XD
No Internet really DOES suck ... but it's nice to see that she misses home too :') Not to mention eating those green peppers ... I like seeing this side of Umaru :D
Loved the flashback ... so Taihei seems to be in his mid twenties then. I guess Umaru learned all the arcade tricks from him huh ;P That trio is pretty funny though ... everyone's so different XD I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Taihei was super smart too ... and the girl had a crush on him even back then :O I wonder if we'll see her more next episode? I mean she was in the preview after all ... :P

Narration nice, but if necessary also very tender, good choice to give space to the rest of the characters, the character of Umaru alone can not handle the story well. Interesting to see the change in the relations between Umaru and his brother; drawings and animations as sufficient quality. I hope there is more space in the future for all the co-stars.

It's nice to see Umaru care more of her brother. She was really adorable this ep.

That internet connection problem was reletable.. You can't even search on how to fix stuff if you don't have internet anyway. The struggle is real. It was cute how Bomber and Taiher tried to cheer Umaru up. Seeing Taihei's early days was fun.

This got me puzzled as well. More importantly, if Tahei was the legend, how the !@#$%^&* did he end up on Bomber's level?

My bet so far is that Kanau's family runs the business, so she has inherited her position in a way, but we'll see the last two episodes.

Serioesly, the best episode of this show!!!!

No internet, No Laifu!!!
I can understand but if in case I have temporary internet shutdown, I'm going to read my actual Death Note novel :3

I din no that Japan has such a place like manga cafe. That will be paradise for me <3
The reason why Umaru quit manga cafe is because she wanted Onii-chan to be with her.

This is the best part. 10 years ago!!! All three interaction is fun to watch. This is the best interaction I had seen in a long time, really.

Fact that this is the best episode so far. I'm very much appreciating the genuine portrayal of brother and sister relationship in this series which is why I don't have any problem enjoying this show. No matter how much Umaru and Taihei fight over trivial things as siblings, it's clearly obvious as a day they deeply care for each other. I love these two like very much.

Who knew that Umaru and Taihei were so similar when it comes to crane games and grades... runs in the family I guess.

Even though Umaru gets a lot of things she wants, I really love the relationship between her and Taihei :') makes me wish I had an older brother sometimes

-Umaru taking care of her brother in her own style XD Of course the metaphor would involve combat and glory. It was very heartwarming to see her return his care and be there by his side as he was ill and bedridden.

-Umaru displaying guilt over stating lies about her brother and not being appreciative enough of his care for her.

-No internet = Cutoff from the world. Truth.

-Really curious about how Umaru's life was between the time that Taihei moved out and when she moved in with him. The flashback made it appear as though Umaru would have had a rather lonely childhood if he hadn't been there for her.

-Very sweet and tender episode overall.

I love this episode, watching Taihei, Kanau and Takeshi go to high school together was totally enjoyable, and especially when we are shown that Taihei taught his tricks to Umaru, it was exciting.
I like it when Umaru showed his feelings to his brother, it was a nice moment.

It doesn't cause it directly, but being cold lowers your immune response and makes you more likely to become infected by the germs and viruses that are always around us.

How cold do you have your aircon that it would statistically significantly reduce your immune system? Whenever they say cold affects immune response I usually think close to freezing not the comfortable 20-22C an aircon is on.

Honestly I have my aircon running most summer nights here in Australia at 22C. The improvement in sleep it produces would have a greater positive impact on health than any non-existent detriment being at 22C does.

True, an AC probably wouldn't be cold enough to make you sick unless maybe you slept right under it. I think you'd have to be out in the freezing cold shivering and wet to catch a cold, but I just put that down to it being a comedy anime that's not supposed to be taken too seriously. :)
