| This is probably silly, but one thing I'd like to talk about are the very things that illuminate our existence. Anything that exists, it must always come down to "us vs them" and be pitted against each other. In early school this was demonstrated by color wars, shoe types(velcro vs tie), or cats vs dog, and when we grow up a little, ps2 vs xbox...you get the picture. The sun is a great thing. It illuminates the earth, and all creatures soak in its radiance. It is also what gives the moon its ability to cast light too, so there is always that, haha. But when I say I prefer the soft embrace of the moon over the harsh sun, people may think "edgy? emo? vampire? troll?" The sun burns a little too brightly for my liking. You cannot ever truly "appreciate" the sun, unless you like going blind. And basking in its warm radiance too long will literally kill you. That is why I think the sun is overrated. On top of that, people think the sun disperses the shadow, but the mightiest flame casts the greatest shadow. Why? Because it actually blinds us and limits our view. When you look up in the sky...what do you see? You see...light. Your vision has become limited. But when the sun goes away, suddenly everything becomes crystal clear. You are now able to gaze into infinity. All the stars, and planets, and the beautiful universe has revealed itself. There is so much awe and mystery and beauty in it that the sun hides from you, I just feel...limited in the daytime. I do not believe the moon gives me "powers" or any of that crap, but my mind becomes a lot more clear, with the entire universe as my ceiling. And the best part? I can gaze at it for hours and not go blind! What about you, MAL? |

| I hate sunlight because it burns my skin. Not "burn" in the sense that I get blisters, red, or keel over in pain, it's just an extremely uncomfortable burning sensation that makes me unhappy and unable to concentrate whenever I am in sunlight. A cool breeze should feel great, but that hurts even more. Sucks cos I'd like to go outside on a hot summer day and enjoy the weather. Staying in my room helps, but not completely because (I assume it's because) the radiation from the sun goes through the walls. At least it looks pretty. The best days for me are when it's cloudy and grey, but sun-after-rain feels the worst... IDK, I ain't a scientist. I assume it's because the rain or the moisture in the air amplifies the heat like a magnifying glass (windows are terrible too)... The moon is fine though. Night time is the best. |

| i dont really care but if i have to choose then i prefer the moon simply because its more relaxing than too much heat from the sun, plus you can see countless stars along with the moon if you are not living in a city/urban area |

| that's interesting to think about :) I find both quite beautiful in their own ways and I dont think I can pick. what the sun does and what it represents is something the moon cant really compare to, but as you said we can fully appreciate the moon and looking up the moon is a beautiful sight that the sun cant compare to |

| The moon because sometimes I can see it in the day as well. Being able to look at it with naked eyes is a bonus. Only time the sun wins is when it's a brilliant orange behind clouds, but doesn't hurt you when you look at it. That's just fucking amazing. |

A moonlit night sky is always amazing to witness compared to a glaring midday sun-bathed sky with such scorching heat that would make you prefer to freaking stay indoors instead. The moon is beautiful. You can marvel at it's beauty without fear of ruining your eyesight. When I finally propose to my SO, I'd want it to be under the splendour of the vast starry sky, basking in the radiance of the moonlight during that fated night. |
