| I will not pay money or make any effort to watch 50 Shades of Gray. Now, it might get an American Pie treatment of me being in the same room as someone else watching it while paying almost no attention to what's on the screen, but that's the extent of it. But that's because it's just not my kind of movie - I couldn't care less about the politics or bad social commentary. |
| I wouldn't really call it ''porn'' since the sex scenes were short and not much was shown (I heard the lead actors signed a contract about not making scenes with oral sex and not showing their private parts). The book was way worse imo. In the movie, some scenes that made it clear that it was an unhealthy relationship were removed and the sex scenes were reduced if you take into account the fact that the book was 70% sex. |

| I answered no, but I'd probably reconsider if my SO wanted to watch it. As for my reason, the books aren't a wholly accurate representation of what the BDSM community is like. It's written by an author who clearly hasn't had any experience in that side of the sexual community. Also the writing is shit. |
