I agree a lot with a lot of the things you wrote in that thread too- I will get back at some point to try and write some decent replies (as there have been a lot of interesting posts in that thread which I want to give my proper attention etc).

Me too, I've had to stop watching haibane renmei, that show was too depressing to continue.

My gf got me into longer anime like naruto and we both like that. It was surprising how shocking it could be for something that appeared to be only a kiddy show. This was when I was really pretty new to anime and didn't know much about it hah.
