THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Inukai is kinda awesome but really intimidating. Fuck everyone is intimidating in this show

I expected the fan service again. Poor Haru ;.;
I think pace is picking up a bit now. Nice moves Tokaku :> Still, the episode felt pretty fast. Haru's background is not a happy one...

Mystery is more deeper!
Everyone want to kill Haru-chan but what did she do, did she really kill all her siblings with her own will? or.. you know. :P
For my thought here it doesn't seem like that.

Tokaku made her decision rather quick, but she really feel sorry for Haru-chan.
How can you be an assassin without killing anyone?

I have to wait for "proper" translations because I'm still going off of the manga. (Which they chaged a lot in this episode, for the better I believe.)

You fake it as well as Tokaku did. (And pray nobody finds out like Isuke did.)

I totally agree; I can't really see how else an anime like this would be drawn. I really like this style haha.

Kore yabai. The second episode was also the best for me.

The reason why Tokaku decided to protect Haru, was not clear. Tokaku seemed that she wanted to shake off her dark past. On the other hand, I think EP 1 and EP 2 implied that she started to get back her humanity unconsciously. And after all, I think those implied that she fell in love to Haru. It would be revealed before long. I think that the difference between Nio's claim and Haru's claim would be also cleared.

And I get excited when I listen to OP whispering part before chorus, "Darenimo Sawarasenai" (誰にも触らせない). Something like sadistic desire arises in my heart.

Wow, what a good episode. This is really becoming one of my favourites this season, and it's only the beginning (it's really hard to choose what I really like since a lot of shows this season have given me great first impressions). My favourite character still stands, I like Haruki way too much. She's just so cool.

I really want to know what's behind Haru, because as some of you on this thread have said there's a big difference from what Nio said and what Haru said... especially since Nio said it twice; she killed her family and that she practically mowed them down. Where would she get such a perception? Well I hope they definitely answer enough questions as possible.

Wasn't expecting that still shot during Isuke and Tokaku's fight, but overall I'm finding this extremely entertaining for some reason. Must be the hand holding power.

I personally think/ hoping its not...that Haru might be faking it. I'm also thinking maybe Tokaku is the true target that people have to kill in order to try to awaken her "feral" side. Also anyone else think that both stories about Haru might be true? Like maybe the parents were killing the younglings for some reason, and Haru ended up killing the parents.

The premise is ridiculous but somehow I'm enjoying this anime. So far the only thing that's bugged me a bit is Haru's use of her name while referring to herself. I don't get why that's considered cute x_x Anyway, nice episode :)

That was actually not bad at all. It caught my interest way more than ep1.

Haru not being ur normal innocent girl and Dat PAST O_O! Damn the scars and her family massacre flashback are cringe worthy O_o!

Tokaku defecting to Haru's side was nice and her announcement to the rest was BA!

This should be nice.

Aside from the main ones, I honestly don't like these characters so far. Isn't there a limit for overconfident smiles/looks/sentences per 20 minutes? To me, it makes them look really one dimensional and cliché. And it annoys me, 'We get it, you're strong and cunning'.

Putting that aside, I loved these 2 eps. Getting curious about this mystery, just making 12 assassins race can't be all there is to the story. Also really like Tokaku for reasons, but don't want to write more since I don't know how to make that spoiler button thing.

Definitely liked this episode more than the first
I have this nagging feeling that Haru isn't the true target - that Tokaku is
Idk why but that's what I feel
If I was Tokaku I wouldn't have told them all I was against them and going to protect Haru though. That's a death wish

Didn't like the first half of the episode, but everything after the first assassination attempt was pretty nice, especially the last bit and the ED, looking forward to more 4/5. I wonder if Haru's and Tokaku's pasts are linked.

The one thing that intrigues me is their homeroom teacher. I wonder if he really is just a normal person or something more.
Haru has one scary background and it seems that she knows the rest of the girls are after her life.
Tokaku declares to Haru and the rest that she will be the one to protect her.

Kinda good episode. tokaku didn't properly explain her reason behind protecting haru.
They have started off with the story of haru in danger and tokaku protecting her.
The rule which gives the assassin girls one attempt to kill will make things more interesting.
I would really like to see tokaku going as far as to kill one of the assassins. It would really heat things up. Also they put in way too much characters. They should've kept the characters less.

Woah i didn't think there would be that much behind Haru's past. The way she refer herself in third person, makes me wonder if she has another personality or tries to stay "noble" because of her family or clan. I love all the characters so far ^^ some of them are awesomely intimidating.

ED so cute. Episode was decent.

I'm kinda confused about this show. Why does Haru even go in public and to high school if she knows she's a target for assassins? Why not just leave the school?

Liked this episode a lot more than I did episode 1.

Now that everyone's there guess shit is about to get real. Seems like Haru has a past about her.
Wonder who killed her family like that. Anyway Tokaku is going to have hard time protecting Haru since she is a virgin.

I'm really digging the art style for some reason.

good ep! Love the fight scene, and we got some answers...

I wish Tokaku said "I'll kill you" after ripping her pass though. That would have been hilarious (and a gundam wing reference to boot, hahaha!!!)

Nio has a lot of information on all of them as you can tell from her knowing Haruki has a lot of siblings. Depends on who gave Nio the information about Haru killing her own family. Nio maybe believes it but it could be a lie. I just think Haru as more of an advantage if she does. There's not really a lot of room to speculate with only 2 episodes but I don't trust Haru's smile.

Tokaku's reasons for joining Haru is also unclear but I believe it's because she realized that both of them are trapped in the past and Haru's the only person she ever related to. "Curse from the past."
But I'm sure they will explain why. (Just hope it isn't a roundabout way to make her trust her then stab her in the neck.)

So, Tokaku declares in front of the other assassins that she will protect Haru and therefore she betrays them, yet they let her go like that? It seems this series is based mainly on drama and fights, doesn't care to apply some logic.

I don't think that's the case. They're assassins as you said and if anything, Tokaku declaring that she'll protect Haru has only increased the thrill of the hunt. They're all screwed up in the head, where's the fun in killing someone helpless?

Screwed up in the head, still they could have massacred Tokaku and Haru would break after learning for her loss. I suppose I am coming with different kind of expectations.

Haru's story seems a little skewed, especially with all those scars on her body. I'm more inclined to believe Nio at this point.

Am I the only one confused about the rule with the cards? I blanked out until Nio mentioned being selfish, and even with rewatching the scene I don't get it. What's the point of them?

Things are definitely getting more interesting. Can't wait for episode 3.
