| Wouldn't say i'm surprised though. The LN has been receiving decent bump since the anime airing and the discs sold around 3k, which is a pretty good number for NHK anime. If boring crap like Phi-Brain that doesn't even sell a fourth than that can get 3 consecutive seasons, why Log Horizon cannot? |

| I'm sure the anime covered the first 5 volumes of the novel and there are currently only 7 volumes out. So I guess the second season will be a 1-cour. |
| Second season for this crap. I'm really disappointed. There is much better anime out there that deserve second season like btooom, machine-doll and Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu Log horison was boring for me. There is too much boring dialogs, like people discussing about guilds or economics and character sitting in conference table like politicians. I not sure why they waste too much time on these boring things. I do hope 2nd season focus more on action, romance, boss fights, and they should kill all the current characters and replace them with better looking ones. ANd I do hope they make the story more simple and easy to understand without much concentration. All of these economic and guild talk made by brain turn off. |

I think that's because the show was trying so hard to be a 1:1 adaptation of the novels that it ended up with a lot of their flaws, but not a lot of their strengths. The exposition avalanches we see all the time are the biggest perpetrator's probably due to the fact that they're, again, going for a straight translation of the source material instead of cutting the fat and moving things along. There's a difference between respecting source material and then letting it be your master. But despite i often found it rather tedious and slow sometimes, overall it's still a great ride. |

| well currently there are 2 volumes released and vol 8 is being published on-line i think by the time the second season comes out there would be at least 3 volumes to adapt, alos given that the author plans on finishing it at around 15 volumes i think its safe to assume they the author has a pretty good idea how the story will go, The second season will probably be 1 cour or even if it is 2 if mamare is the one supervising it odds are the things they would adapt in the second season will probably be incorporated in the LN as well eventually I guess will see soon enough right now i am happy that it is getting a sequel yahoo |

| Just watched the last episode and almost jumped out of my chair when I read that announcement. Of course it'll probably either be 1-cour or 2-cour but with some fillers if they only have half of the material compared to first season. Still this year is a great year for anime. First Drrr!! Season 2 is announced and now this. The only thing missing would be a TWGOK 4 and Index Season 3 :D |
