This shows kind of become a chore for some reason.

No, there are no words to explain how good is FMA. Hohenheim is out of question cool. That only makes me think he'll get killed soon, or he'll just die somehow, just like all the best characters and anti-heroes to now =\. And the new OP is no doubtfully one of the best songs I've ever heard...

I knew it all along.
When Dante, who's supposed to be this badass alchemist who trained their Sensei
just ups and dies without a fight.
And then Lyra's entire disposition changes and she starts behaving VERY suspicious.
I knew Dante was somehow inside her. Was just waiting for them to address it.
Also from the convo with the Sensei, we could tell Dante was up to some questionable activities.
Seems like whatever body transfer thing she's been doing to keep herself alive,
Hohenheim's been doing it too.
And that's why he told Al that he could transfer his soul to another body.
Ahh...

Great episode but what has their dad and Lyra to do with the homunculus? Let's find out in the couple next episodes!

Either way a great episode!

really enjoyed this episode :D

Al being able to spend time with his father, despite Ed hate his father, he still somehow talks to him every now and then/

just shows you how caring Ed is.

and wow Roy Mustang really lied alot to Ed, death of Hughes, creation of the red stone.

guess he doesn't want them to carry the burden.

Hohenheim is badass!!!!

him and Dante are probably the strongest alchemy ever.

and wow so Lyra maybe dead??

kinda funny how the first characters in the series who look nothing special became one of the most important characters in the plot.

so Hohenheim and Dante are probably 100 years old+???

cannot wait for the next one :)

only 8 episodes left...

She was the old lady that was Izumi's sensei.

You could tell Lyra was a sketchy character the way her eyes looked when she was with Ed and Rose in that tunnel.

Dante/Lyra was saying my master isn't around did she try to fool Hohenheim or is there really someone who is even more the ultimate bad guy.

well it seems Hohenheim wasn't ordering the homunculus around i guess i indeed got it mixed up with another name.

then again i still got to wonder what Hohenheim and Dante/Lyra got to do with the homunculus.

okay so Dante is alive and Lyra is death now i am lost of what exactly is going on but i knew there father would need to have a big role now i wonder what it is.

"Urushibara Ruka. The mannerisms and voice of a woman... No... More feminine than any woman. But he's a guy. Taller than Mayuri, but so very thin... But he's a guy. Looks great in a miko outfit... But he's a guy. It's already twilight And yet, it's so hot. The cicadas are crying. But... He's a guy."

Gosh O_O It was in the back of my mind for a while now that Ed would have to use his moms bones to take out her Homunculus, but geez. That was still a surprise. I don't think I would be able to do something like that if I were in his place...

Man, what a way to find out about Hughes...I can't believe it took this long before someone told them, and it was by accident that they found out. That's sad. =,(

And I knew Lyra was up to something, but she's really Dante?! Whaaaat? So Dante/Lyra is really the leader of the Homunculi. Wow =O
I was wondering why Ed mentioned something about her perfume a few episodes back. I knew they wouldn't have added that in there for no reason, so it looks like it really did have importance after all.

On an unrelated note, are they never going to tell us what happened to Den's arm? I mean I know what happened, but do they not mention it in the anime? They probably do in Brotherhood if they don't in the original series.

OMG I knew it! When Greed as if Lyra killed Dante, that didn't make much sense to me, and there was something off about her to begin with. Especially with how Izumi acted towards her. I guessed that it was more likely that Dante had become Lyra somehow, especially when she used amazing alchemy against Greed and even he was shocked at her power... but nothing was ever said again about it so I completely forgot!

And when Hohenheim mentioned Al could bind his soul to a human body, I was wondering how the body wouldn't decay, but looks like that's being addressed pretty quick. It also explains how Hohenheim is "immortal" too. Craziness!

My head is spinning from all these developments! hehe

The anime with this episode is redeemed for the previous somewhat bland, the narrative is full again of many revelations and plot twists, that give rise to many questions and doubts. More and more curious to find out how they will close the circle with so few episodes at the end. Drawings and animations of good quality OST idem. What a laugh when Lieutenant Ross, was with his father Ed and Al. XD

Hohenheim rocks. The ice Alphonses were awesome haha. Can't believe Leera is Dante! Knew they wouldn't just kill off Dante before she even did anything, the name is too cool to waste lol. What's happening with Mustang though? Is he gonna be in trouble? Also looks like Ed is trying to confirm whether Trisha's body is still there.

things are really starting to come together now and lots of threads are going to be tied up and i can't wait! and i love how this show is able to keep it intense but still have lighter moments that don't feel totally unnatural or out of place

i had an off feeling about lyra for a while now especially how she keeps popping up everywhere al and ed go, it makes sense that she is with the homunculi - but i didn't expect their dad to turn up and be involved with them either??? it feels like i am so close to having everything click in my head in terms of how everyone is linked but i'm just not there yet. what a shame, just means i have to watch more!

Wait a tick, so Lyra is actually Dante? No wonder that eerie song was played in the beginning. So that bifurcated old bee-otch was actually Lyra! Talk about a miserable death.

But how exactly did they swap consciousness anyway? I porgot. But even with the swap, Dante's new body is decaying *Patrick Star voice* Arrrgghghhgh, horrible!

I liked the Alphonse ice sculpture thingies. If I was into ice sculpting I definitely would make one of those

The plot twists continue. Lyra is the bad guy but she really is Dante in a different body. Hohenheim knows her and confronts her. Apparently he's somehow involved with homunculi and the research behind the philosophers stones as well. Ed and Al learn about Hughes and Roy tries to protect them. It's getting interesting!

I'm wondering about that perfume as well. Maybe it is used to cover some kind of smell that only people exert that transferred their bodies? Waiting for an explanation here.

damn the reveal that dante had possessed lyra's body was really chilling. i knew that it was gonna happen but i did forget how it was revealed, which i think was handled really well.
i also haven't realized that this whole time ed and al had no idea that hughes was dead. i don't know how to feel about it being this long for them to learn, but it was still interesting.
