| Seeing the animation drop in quality was disappointing. I was really hoping this remake was going to be GOOD but knowing Toei I knew they were going to cheap out. Typical. They've ruined so many good shows. 8( |

I kind of digged Ami's transformation, though her ending pose is a goofy as I remembered it. Sailor Moon's looks so cool, though. Manga Rei is very different from anime Rei. Personally I like both of them, in my opinion they are both stereotypes, so I feel like it comes more down to what stereotype you prefer more rather than one version of Rei being especially unique/better than the other. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what they do with Rei, personally I'd like a fusion between the characteristics of anime Rei and manga Rei to get the best of both worlds, but since this version is meant to be more loyal to the manga I'm expecting Rei to have her manga personality. |

| The ep was good, but it looks like it was rushed. The animation was really weird. For an episode they do once in two weeks they have much more time to fix all the errors. I hope that they will do it in the DVD/BD's. Oh, and Ami's transformation is really great. Just like in the classic Sailor Moon. |

| Usagi's voice was totally fine in this episode, she refills her role perfectly !! It gets better and better with Kotono I'm sure !! Especially when she will be Serenity ! So stop complaining about the unique reasonnable choice they decide to keep even if, I think I would rather loved to have a complete new cast than only one former seiyuu coz I feel like it is the twilight zone lol, with only kotono, it doesn't sound right ! Concerning the episode, it's the same than the original one, so it will be the same for the other girls except maybe Jupiter and Venus coz they appear when Jadeite dies, so I dunno how they will manage his death ! Ami-chan voice is super cute and I never doubt new seiyuu were very gifted but her smart side is vanished coz Hisakawa-san knew how to interprete NERD ami-chan !! Transformation is very good, better than usagi's one, coz there is no more trouble with how they make the hair float in the air (Usagi's case) !! I am now focusing in watching the show tryin to forget all about my nostalgia and how fan I am of the original anime ( painful process ) Rina Satou performance is the only one I am looking for !! Ah also the episode is wayyy less funny than the original one !! |

I completely agree with this. Sailor Moon's transformation was noticeably CGI but not to the point that it looked bad, but Sailor Mercury's transformation was worse imo. If we have to watch each transformation during every episode, especially when all the inner Sailor Senshi are introduced, that would be pretty annoying. |

| So far I still like the old more even though it wasted like 30 episodes on filler before they introduced all the other sailor warriors. I still don't understand why the transformation is CG... it is in every episode, they could have drawn it since they reuse it every fucking time. |

Otherwise crystal will only cover the first two story arcs. If it does better, most likely the rest will follow with different subtitles. |

EPisode 2 of Crystal was something like EPisode 8 or 10 of previous adaptation, with fillers in between. Crystal is also considerably far more serious so far Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask's role is entirely different so far too. Next episode will be entirely different from previous adaptation |

If you haven't seen the 90' Anime I highly recommend to watch the Japanese uncut version + subs, the Movies included. It was one of my childhood Animes. Slayers, Dragon Ball, Digimon etc. being the others. It was stated, the reboot follows the Manga more closely, like with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The only differences are some few sentences or scenes, that where either altered or not included. Still the adaptation is almost identical to the Manga as for now. The only new stuff, that we can expect are materials, that Takeuchi hasn't/couldn't add into her Manga. As for the old Anime it has more comedy aspects, though most of the plot branches away to either fillers, or the main story with major or minor differences, than the Manga. The attacks are different, the characteristic and relations of the girls vary more than in the Manga. The Senshi power Up's differs compared to the Manga too. |

| I love it x3! Ami appeared and is so cute! also more soundtrack for my ears~ her transfomation scente was unexptected, was fast, clean and better than Usagi one. Also lol, Mamoru unconsciously is Usagi's face can XD snif, no wanna wait 14 days for the next episode, pls be 7 like the others ;-; |
| great episode. getting used to the cg transformations again love the soundtrack unfortunate that despite it being bi-weekly there are so many inconsistencies aside from the quality at times really enjoying it. rei next episode |

| Not that bad episode, though that quality hurts my eyes... Ami looks fine, her new seiyuu is better than I thought actually. Such a soft and cute voice! Sounds kinda like younder Hisakawa for me, seriously lol. Another CGI transformation was okayish, but it's still hard to get used to it. |

| Amazing episode!! I'm loving Ami's transformation and voice!!! They definitely put a lot of work to it. And yes, i'm getting used to the CGI's! I just wish the OP was 2D since the ED is also 2D. Then again, Precure's have 2D OP and 3D ED. I'm liking it!! Even Tuxedo Mask's voice is getting better. I just want him to be more arrogant and laugh at Usagi's fails like the old Anime did. You can do this Kenji Nojima! Aino is pretty amazing at video games!! Everyone was watching her dominate that arcade game!! Ami's voice is awesome!! Even though i'll never forget the bully scandal Kanemoto did during Kokoro Connect's airing. I think she's learned her lesson now or at least more wary about her actions. This is getting good by the episode!! Just wish it was weekly instead of twice a month X___X Can't wait for the next episode! |

| I gotta get used to those transformation sequences. The 3Dness of the cgi still looks chunky to me, especially compared to the scenes afterward when the senshi get their trademark catchphrases in all their 2D glory. Other than that, everything else is gorgeous. Jadeite's LASHES oh man. Ami is so cute, and her new voice is precious. Once the introductions are done and we get into the real plot, waiting is going to be agonizing. Don't understand why they choose to air episodes every two weeks. |

On a more serious note, I think that, based on the pacing of this season, SM Crystal /might/ cover seasons one and two (although keep in mind I haven't read the manga, so I don't know the /original/ pacing of the series). I'd say anything beyond R would be a stretch (unless they do another season of SM remake!). |

| The end of R corresponds to Chapter 26 of the manga. If we keep going at one chapter per episode, we'll get through it easy. |

| yay for Ami-chan! the transformation is better than Usagi and it's faster. lol (because i dont like CG transformation) Mamo-chan is really cute... i wonder why he was wearing tuxedo all the time? usagi will be easily noticed him as Tuxedo Mask and his mask is really thin (almost like wearing no mask at all) the drawing need more fix or it was the style? i dont know but i dont like some scenes' art |

| I'm fine if they stop after those 26 eps !! Hope they'll keep it real in celebrating those 20 yrs and stop defiling Sailor Moon anymore ! Actually a continuation of Sailor Stars would have been so much better and no complain about usagi's voice since there's would have had a following of sailor moon to sailor cosmos !! |

How comes, that so many old fans complain bout the VA, when it's the same person with almost identical voice. The voicing of Usa in the old Anime was the same way annoying and now people don't even complain about that from the 90' Anime any more >,< I just don't get it... Besides that Toei did a continuation with Dragon Ball GT and it taught us, that doing it without basing on a real work of the Author (Manga) doesn't pay of so good. I don't say it was bad, but somehow... it wasn't that Dragon Ball we grew up with. I would be rather against a SM continuation of the old 90' plot. Remake ok, continuation of old Anime plot, no. I'm happy they didn't make a remake of the old SM like they did with DBZ Kai. Sorry, but that kind of remakes are Money Milkers to me. Still I understand you, cause it's sad, that Toei didn't show more effort working on such a classic. And I mean the errors in the last episode and well the CGI, that for many is the biggest disappointment. |
