| Good episode. Don't really see the point in Matoba protecting his eye from been eaten when he wouldn't be able to use it either, unless it would weaken his abilities if he lost it. I guess it doesn't really matter. |
| She should have just bought a gun, it would have been a lot more effective than a youkai that she couldn't even control. And seriously, Natsume needs to learn at least the basics of fighting with spiritual energy or he's going to die one day when there's no one there to save him from his incompetence at the last second. |

| Great episode, and the Matoba ark is far from over as it seems. All the more reasons to look forward to more of Natsume. Still I wonder how could that Matoba guy 1-shot the demon. "Sensei, you really are a demon, Sensei!" |

| Pretty interesting episode with even some action inside that cave. I was kinda pissed to see Madara/Sensei wounded tbh especially when some of his blood was used to awaken a Youkai. Other than that, 5/5. |

Same here XD Despite the overall seriousness in this episode, Nyanko-sensei still brought some comedic moments. I love the part where he and Natoba were bickering at the inn. And wow, the Matoba clan sure is strong. He took out the super strong youkai with just an arrow (and spell). Still, they're a horrible clan... |
| Natsume needs to learn some basic exorcism or anything that he can use to fend off bad youkai.. If i remember correctly, he only use it once, during the exorcism inside his house, using the technique Reiko used. It's be great to see him fighting with spell instead of running away or one-punch-KO-ing the youkai XD |

| This is probably the only episode where Natsume basically lost. He definitely didn't win anything that's for sure. It was more of a bad sad episode instead of happy sad like the previous 32 eps. Love the character development for him this ep. |
| That witch girl hopelessly trying to gather the ashes of her only means of taking revenge on Matoba was one of the saddest and most depressing sights in the show. Although, like others have said, she would have been more successful if she had just got herself a gun. I guess grief made her lose the ability to think straight. Also, wasn't Madara shot in his neck, so why does his Nyanko form have a wound in the ribs? |

| Interesting episode, the story is enhanced by additional characters that are opposed to those seeking dialogue towards Youkai, a development that makes the most intriguing storyline; who knows if rivederemo the witch in the future. Great Nyanko-sensei, his verve is unique. XD |

| Good arc, not overwhelming, but good. I liked the conclusion of the story, we all knew that the big bad yokai would never have a lot of screen time, so the little screentime he had was well used. Matoba gang chief seems like an interesting villain, I wonder what he would do if he knew about the book of friends existence. |

| Not sure why people are complaining about filler since it's actually pretty good in this show. As long as it's good why bitch and moan about it. As for the episode, couldn't help but feel sorry for that woman. Sure she went crazy but that was only because of the Matoba clan getting her dear yokai friend killed by using him as bait. Just think of how torn Natsume would be if that were to have happened to one of his close yokai friends like the fox cub (can't really use Nyanko-sensei as a good example since he's too dam strong xD). Speaking of Nyanko-sensei, do not fuck with Natsume when he's around unless you want to get killed. I have never seen him seriously pissed off before like that :o I guess it didn't help that Matoba is such a douchebag. |

| And so as it turns out the female youkai gathering blood was in fact a human, and former Matoba clan member. She was trying to revive a powerful youkai to take revenge on Matoba for callously sacrificing a youkai she had grown close to in the past. Well there's that central conflict sprouting up again on the roles of youkai in relation to humans. Friends, allies, or mere tools? That Matoba douche really needs a good punch to the face, but he seems too on top of things so far for me to expect anything like that to happen anytime soon if at all. I mean he played Natsume like a fiddle and took out that youkai with a single shot. Still, definitely woulda enjoyed seeing the enraged Nyanko-sensei eat him. :D Looks like we're back to one-offs next, and the return of a character I think I vaguely remember from season on2 considering how long it's been. :D |

| It was pretty nice, but to be honest I prefer the warm and peaceful part of Natsume than the dark and serious arcs. |
