| Chapter 98 is basically the set-up/groundwork for a whole new story. Not through Denji's POV but a whole new character. Mitaka's the new maincharacter, an unsociable, lonely and curious girl. Well, rest in peace Bucky. His death was planned by Prez, it was kinda foreshadowed in the early pages with how she looked at "us". To repent for killing Bucky, three of them went to his grave but that's where the Prez revealed her true self. She signed a contract with a devil in order to kill Mitaka. Jesus christ, she got sliced below her fucking eyes. How fucking gory can Fujimoto make this also the guts were drawn so detailed. Anyway, a millisecond before her death. She signed a contract with the War Devil so basically she can make a weapon out of everything? That's fucking insane. A sword made out of someone's head and a grenade out of an arm. That's one hell of a power to have and the scar she has below her eye is just so damn fucking cool. It was also shown when she sliced the Prez. A great first chapter for the second part. We'll probably see some old characters back but probably not everyone. Anyway, the paneling was also great. Very smooth, but that's expected from Fujimoto! |

| Another masterpiece chapter by Godjimoto. Can't say I'm surprised. Also, it seems like the horseman theory is coming into life already. Very interesting chapter, I can't wait to see where all of this is going. This also means we're going to see the death devil at some point because he's part of the 4 horsemen. This manga could go literally anywhere at this point, I love it. |

| Quite interesting. I like that new Character. I hope that she won't turn into another fodder character, like most of characters of this manga. Paneling was good, art was clean and nice. Typical Fujimoto-sensei. That's why it was very entertaining read. I don't know what to feel about this one of last panels. Is it a tribute to "Sayonara Eri" last spreadsheet, or was the author just tracing his older manga? LOL Also, RIP Buck. Gone too soon... |

| Since the War Devil appeared to take total control of her body and override her personality when they contracted it seems like Mitaka's basically dead leaving only the War Devil (Fiend), or is this contract something more akin to hybrids? If so why has that previously only been something weapon devils did and why did all the other hybrids appear to have their human personalities in the driving seat? I'm hoping that she is just the War Fiend now if only because that'll mean some degree of consistency to these rules, though that'd also mean no more Mitaka. Anyone else notice a couple of panels in there where her scar disappeared before reappearing though? Surprised they let that mistake get through. |

| 5/5 Fujimoto is officially back with a glorious set-up chapter. So many things to unpack here. It's still just one chapter but Mitaka might climb the best girl rank sooner than expected. War or "Shenshou" in japanese which co-incidentally sounds like chainsaw when you say it out loud so now we have a "Shenshou woman" on the mix , Fuji you sly bastard you. RIP to Bucky, gone too soon but i still think the whole headless chicken thing still holds some significance to the story. Justice devil was fodder and trash, speaking of which, Mr Tanaka really needed a visit from Chris Hansen, didn't he? At least he got a good ending with class prez girl....uhh right? right guys?? Mitaka or "Shenshou woman" slicing and dicing page spread was a delight and kinda reminded of the final panel from Goodbye Eri. Bitch can literally make anything she touches into weapons which is just OD. Makes me wonder if the weapon devils worked under War devil before Makima, you know, did her thing. Also, she mentions reviving already devoured Nuclear weapon devil so does that mean she knows a way around CSM power? Her eyes are swirly like Makima's too so does that mean every horsemen have or going to have the same feature? Are all the horsemen going to be females? ...plausible theories but we'll see. I don't want to theorize too much cuz i know i'll get siked at some point 🤣 A solid comeback chapter nonetheless |
