I'm really looking forward to more of this show -- shoujo romantic comedy is nearly always good in my book ^^ (... It's nice to have a season with a few different shoujo to choose from too.) I enjoyed what's been scanlated of the manga (even with the really, er, unique art), so I expect to feel the same for the anime as it goes on.
I'd have to say I preferred the Taiwanese Drama at this point, but then again... I am comparing "Kin-chan" to Jiro.... XD I'll probably watch it just not on high priorities. The character design is definitely gonna get on my nerves even though its quite loyal to the manga....
I'm sure If I was a doughnut, Goku would love me, until i was in his stomach... then he would move onto another love.TT^TT

Don't lose your womanhood faust and support the shoujos./
and uh, as for me.. Shoujo FUCK YES. This was awesome, I really like this shoujo. You can tell it's based of a manga, it just has that shoujo-manga feel. I love that feel. *wants to read some shoujo manga now xD*
I was interested in this series because I read in anidb's description that the manga follows them until after they get married. I wonder if there will be a time-skip or if it'll be a gradual thing.
This is the series I was most looking forward to, so hopefully it won't disappoint...
have not watched a lot of shoujos, actually, i dont think i have watched a real shoujo anime.
anyways, the plot seems good, even though it is a little cliche (a lot of stories turn out this way), but i dont mind that, cliches are sometimes fun. i have to get over the art style, which was bothering me by the first couple of seconds i started watching, but that bothering feeling faded away slowly. i guess i just have to get used to shoujo a little more.
i found this episode a little comical. i hope the other episodes are like this, that way it can be enjoyed..
As a long-term fan of the Japanese drama series, I hope this anime adaptation turns out well. The animation could be better and the art style will take a little getting used to... Kotoko's smile is kinda cringe-worthy. However, I love the Irie family's new look and Kotoko's delinquent friends are pretty entertaining too.
I wasnt sure if this serie could pass my "new series to watch" judgment" lets ee what the second ep brings :)
the char design was a bit..te guy that liket he heroine is just plain creepy. Think if i should stick with this anime it would be cause of the comedy.
was ok for me for a first introduction witht the series, i shure hope irie gets over his asshole-complex couse hes kinda ticking me of in the first ep, i prefer the creepy guy who likes kotoko over him atm. Ah well i'll keep watching this to see how it turns out since it made me smile e few times, wich isnt all that bad :p
The art style was rather ugly and unfamiliar, but after 25 mins I've gotten used to it. So this obstacle is out of the way.
The set-up is nothing exciting new but rather interesting. I kind of liked the Kin-guy. The family of the smart guy is pretty interesting and the pink-room-joke is kind of old but always good to see. OP and ED were ok.
This show seems to be nothing great but it's solid entertainment and maybe one can hope for unique plot twists or great scenes.
i heard about the manga version of this.. i think it was created in the 90s? thats why the art isnt top notch. if anyone's seen the TWdrama it started with a kiss.. it was based on this same series xD thats why im pretty excited about continuing this :)
sabermetrics said: umm, personally, i look at animation quality before anything else, and... this reminds me of stuff that came out 5-7 years ago... the story line isn't bad... but the old character designs kinda throws me off a bit...
That's really my only complaint, 3 seconds in "Oh gosh..I hate this animation style...BUT I MUST TRY IT OUT" ..and after awhile I got used to it..so not giving up yet ;)
This was kind of boring. Don't like the animation style but whatever, I wouldn't drop it just for that. Irie's a jerk but looking at the situation from his perspective...some annoying girl you don't even know pestering you all the time, can't really blame him. He makes a good point: "I hate stupid girls" ahaha.
This anime made me laugh though and it's kind of nice to see characters that aren't all that "perfect" looking for once.
i respect everyones views on it, and sorry, but personally, i didnt like it, most of the characters i instantly didnt like (including the mains). the storyline just seems slightly dull, meaningless and predictable. the comedy wasnt that brilliant either. and the animation i really disliked. i think i might drop it.
~ this is my own view i realise others wont agree please dont hate me!! :S ~

Give episode 2 a try. People seemed to like it more after ep 2. Who knows, maybe it will grow on you :D
To be blunt, I didn't like it... I went in expecting another LoveCom... What I got was a kind of lame attempt to use stuff from LoveCom and School Rumble to end up with something quite mediocre.... Moral: Don't expect every shoujo to be as good as LoveCom :(
However the living together thing is original, and I might like to see this develop, just not while there are better shows that require my viewing.
I sure hope it gets better. My friends are raving about it so I thought I'd give it a try. But I found the first episode BORING! And I HATE the artwork.
I try to give my anime 6 episodes before I drop them. Here's hoping this one improves.
The reason why I am watching this is because the original manga series was never finished due to the sudden death of the author in 1999 while she was moving her house (HOW IRONIC). Apparently, the anime will reveal the "true" ending planned by the author and released by her husband....
Can't wait to see the ending of this classics....
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

I really hoped this would be good. It reminds of Special A in some places. The character design could probably e stronger but i think with just this first episode anyone would fall in love wiht this anime. So far it's great and i cant wait to keep watching it.
Graphics are catastrophic. Unrealistic story with unecessary and annoying whinning. Predictable (We all know that the clumsy and generous and shouting girl always finishes with the cold-good inside-guy) and stereotypic ( did I say it right ? )
Meh average, I see another opposite attract type theme coming up. Hate will eventually turn into love; so generic. First episode did do enough to keep me watching though. Character designs and artwork are good, the main female character, Aihara or something reminds me of Saki from Eden of the East lol.
Irie alone turned me off the anime, the animation didn't bother me and I thought the comedy was good. But I seriously hate the stuck up smart guys in anime.. I'll put it on hold until I feel better about it.
First episode was good though.
"You were a dream, in a life that has been nothing but a Hellish Nightmare..."(Lucy -Elfen Lied)
I enjoyed the first episode, art style was nice, not great, but if they need to save a few yen to put into improving the story being told it fine. I found it funny, and Irie is pretty stuck up, but he seem to at least have a more human side to him, in comparison to some of the stuck up characters in other anime.
Why is she going after this douchebag who obviously doesn't like her?
She should get together with Kin-chan. Problem is he reminds me a little too much of Kuwabara, but still
Haha awesome I love where this is going, an awesome concept and setting! The pace is also fairly decent so things will get rather interesting! Lets see what the story has to offer. The op&ed sure are enjoyable as well!
Ive been hearing great stuff about this anime for years and finally decided to give it a go.
First episode was decent but it's nothing spectacular so far, but that can always change
As of the first episode..... 7 out of 10 :)
I haven't watched this kind of genre in a while so I thought I would get back to it with this one. Although I didn't feel it was different from other shoujo romances I liked the characters a lot
Lol, this episode was full of laughs. I haven't quite seen a character like Kotoko, she's different from other shoujo girls in that she's on another level of clumsiness and misfortune ^^
But what really gets me is her reactions. I just love the way she says "Uso!" xD
