I don't care that they didn't follow the LN, I thought the episode was just a wholesome episode that showcased everyone. The only thing bad i could think of is How HORRIBLE the animation for alot of the episodes are. This season has been better than season 2 EXCEPT the animation. The animation is garbage, and i am just here praying this doesn't translate to J.C. Staff's upcoming anime. Especially ONE PUNCH MAN of all things

JC Staff's animation has not been very good for the past year. Most of the stuff they've picked up has either been good art and no animation or bad art and bad animation. Seeing them pick up OPM should have been a red flag immediately. That said, it's still possible that the reason none of these anime have animation is because they're busy with OPM, but I honestly doubt something like that is the reason.

The movies could play a factor in it as well maybe .

I remember reading this arc and really didn't expect they would cramed basically a whole one volume to 1 episode.

That aside, I really hate the "first girl encounter" cliche on anime/mannga/LN (thanks to Quintessential Quintuplets) but Tohka is 2nd best girl after Kurumi so I'm not complaining.

It was a fun ride, wouldn't mind another season but please improve the animation.

I was thinking Oreimo episode 12, which was entirely unnecessary, and was wiped from the continuity by the first episode of the ONA, which effectively replaced it.

Oh man, I totally forgot about that; there are just instances where you don't really need to meet that 12 episode demand but they did it anyways. My mind was telling me that those 24 minutes could've been allocated to pace out the whole series just a bit better.

This is third time they've had the heroines "line up and date" Shido recently. First the movie, then Natsumi's arc, now this. Getting a bit repetitive. ...although this time it's less like a date, and more like that "competition" between Tohka, Origami and Yoshino to pick a swimsuit that would make Shido's heart beat fastest back in season 1.

Nice to see Origami allied with Kotori, and presumably Ratatoskr, but everything is so condensed it doesn't have much impact. >.<

Well... Sora no Otoshimono still has it worse when it comes to adaptation faithfulness, or sensibility.

Also, what is that white fluid that appears when Shido is getting a massage from Yoshino? I don't see a bottle of sun lotion anywhere. O.o

I feel like watching OVA. I can understand why people so mad about this episode. But, since i've never read the LN so i have no problem because it was enjoyable for me.

This Thrid Season is very good for me. They could maintain my expectation about this series. Eventhough it can't be considered as an ending but i appreciate J.C's people who bravely put this episode. Because of the actual story just end last week, so i think it's not bad to put one refreshing episode. Maybe they could clear one more story about anything, but i already expect it since the last week that they won't be able to make it because the winter season is about to end.
So, is that mean they are wrong from the start? No, I disagree about that. This season was so enjoyable. From the 1st to 11th episode, there is nothing wrong with that. The story is well delivered for me. If they come with the next season, i'm sure they can develop more original story. I won't talk about the LN because i want to enjoy anime as clear as possible. I hate any spoiler from the LN or manga.

No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. NO! NO! FUCKING NO! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS! THEY DID NOT JUST ADAPT VOLUME 12 INTO ONE GODDAMN EPISODE!

The horrendous excuses for art and animation were bearable, this this is crossing the fucking line. No. Just. NO.

This shit warrants a 1/10. The single most disappointing episode in anime, ever.

For the non-LN readers, volume 12 is great and has some important moments that got cut out, I assume for time-constraint reasons that shouldn't have been a thing in the first place had they not made the single worst decision in the history of anime adaptation.

Just go read the light novel. This shit is a waste of time. Go read from volume 8. Up until there, the anime adaptation was somewhat faithful and didn't completely butcher it. It's great, unlike this abomination. And that's all I have to say... I think.

It seems I'm in minority, but I really liked this episode. It sure felt rushed in the 2nd half and I reading it was whole 1 vol makes me wish they adapted it properly. Nonetheless I liked this arc the most.
Scene with Ellen was really cute. But Natusmi's reaction and then Yoshio's scene really won this episode for me. On the other hand I hoped for more from Origami.

If we ever get another sequel I just hope for better budget and pacing.

Very funny final episode. A bit of a bonus at the end of the season. I was cracking up so hard throughout the episode and we got a bit of the fan service that this season has been surprisingly lacking in.

Great season, well-executed continuation of a good series.

Hopefully we get a season 4. Something about this series just gives it that quality feel. I could keep watching this sort of thing all year.

Well, and that's it for this one. A filler episode, kinda fun/kinda meh, it wasn't really needed imo, the anime should have ended last week instead.

Overall, storywise, i thought it was good, animation could be a lot better, but it was bearable for me. If there is a next season in the future, PLEASE, JC Staff just leave it to another studio instead..

7/10 from me, still enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

Unpopular opinion but I enjoyed this season much more than the first 2 seasons. The first 2 seasons were fine but they weren't anything amazing. And while this season may have been butchered by JC , the story was amazing which in the end made me enjoy this season so much more than I should have.

Guess I'll jump into the light novels now because I actually this time want to know what happens next. And this is something I didn't feel like doing after S1 and S2, so in the end I liked this season more than S1 and S2 as bizarre as it sounds

Also, Kurumi and Origami are the best girls!

Good final episode, was interesting to see teh opposite, seeing girls make Shido fall in love for them, but would be better if it wasn't all in only one episode and more detailed!

The moment between Shido and Hellen was really funny, and was so cute to see adorable girls with their party dresses, especially in Origami and Shido moment, Origami always impress!

I am glad Kurumi was paying atention and helped aswell!

Overall, i really like this season as much as others, its true that animation got a downgrade, but i still enjoyed plot progress, speacially Origami's arc, Op and Ed were awesome, hope this show get a 4th season!

If according to my knowledge in this third season LN finished in volume 14 and there is still a possibility to get the fourth class so don't doubt this series too much, because this story has just begun.

As I explained earlier, why am I sure, this gets the fourth class because if we look at the adaptation of the ova, they get a positive response. So I am sure that they will give the fourth class adaptation.

Dude, the last ep was the entire volume 12 with almost all important plot points shaved off. I don't know where you're getting your volume numbers from, but if you can't remember this arc then you clearly need to go back and reread. The origami arc was volume 10-11, and the entire last episode was 12, therefore it ends at 12/13.

Wow, this season was such a disaster, damn J.C. Staff. WTF. Although I say that, I still have a soft spot for this anime, because it is one of the very first anime, a harem one that I've watched, I'd give it a 7 because of that.

Huh... you could say this turned out better than I expected, but that's not a very high bar to surpass. Episode 12 felt like an OVA, though gathering from the comments here seems like they rushed something.... who knows?

A little more Kurumi was nice, then again still not enough. Natsumi's arc honestly held the suspense pretty well to be fair. Other than that, there's not really much that was acceptable to be honest.

I know that, but considering the circumstances of this season, it didn't have any link to the previous Origami arc, they could've maybe drag on the arc, so, it sure felt like a filler. It's a shame tho, that they are cutting content like this :/

Also WTF was that scene with Kotori trying to blow up Shido? It felt like she was completely out of character there for a second. There's no way she'd kill her beloved Onii-chan.

Well, that's the contract she made with Ratsork or whatever she works for that if shido even get out of control due to spirit power she'll kill him herself and btw the anime has cut the whole damn scene where that missile was actually fired but was stopped by phantom who saved shido for various reasons well not gonna spoil u though allso there is a scene in season 2 I think where she was also seen saying that she'll kill shido.

This was a... weird final episode, to say the least, basically an OVA. Seems like content was cut, but even if that wasn't the case I struggle to see how you could stretch this content beyond two episodes.

If we put this episode aside, though, I enjoyed this season, particularly in terms of plot direction and character development in the Natsumi and Origami arcs. And sure, I could moan about the production values all day long, but at the end of the day they only hindered my enjoyment once during Natsumi's arc (other than that, I was so engaged in the plot and characters that I barely even noticed).

I'll hope for more of this shwo in the future, as I'm interested to see where things go from this point, what with Phantom coming a little more to the forefront this season.

That was awful and a bad episode to end on. This was more OVA content than actual season content. Incredibly rushed, tone all over the place with way too sudden changes, poor choice of music in many scenes, animation just as bad, couldn't take it seriously at any point.

This season was a massive disappointment with only a few decent episodes (namely the Kurumi ones, the first 2 werent awful either). The entire thing was badly paced, really rushed, awfully animated, weirdly placed music, tonally deaf, cringy (and not in a funny way), terrible (read: no) character development, powers that characters suddenly have, unbelievable character choices and everything that happened pretty much had no impact on anything aside from Natsumi (but that's only minimal, the character interactions don't really change). Even Origami's behaviour is exactly the same as before, even though she had a (supposedly) massive arc that would've impacted her character immensely. Even the timetravel was utterly irrelevant to anything. No characters ended up changing because of it. Origami was the only different thing and that was only for like 1.5 episodes, after that she was completely back to normal and everyone interacted with her exactly as before as if she was always there, even though she just transferred in and didn't know anyone.

In season 2 I think there where was a scene where kotori was talking about shido to the higher-ups if the organization she works for and shido is pretty much a bigger threat then the spirits as he seals there powers . It pretty obvious and kotori said she would be the one to handle it as she dosent want them to do it . It was after shido used the tohkas spirit sword

U serious man effort gone to Index 3 have u even watched that shit.

I have, and I have to say the animation quality there is at the very least consistent, compared to DAL III where we have moments where female characters lose their boobs entirely, Shido turns into the male MC from "My Sister, My Writer", and other such inconsistencies.
