In neither case is the pleb worth paying attention to. I mean, if the "ruining aspect" (which is based on an opinion anyway) was prevalent across the entirety of the medium, permeating every single anime, then it'd actually have a little point behind it. I could empathise with someone who hated a particular trope or aspect and that thing started being in every single anime. | There aren't much shota (a boy under the age of consent; 13 years in Japan ) BL animes to begin with. I always thought I'm quite informed about BL anime. But the only titles I can think of are the Bocu no Pico OVAs and Loveless (maybe?). I don't count anime with childish looking protagonists as shotacon. |

| @Shinjisus @Kuma wasn't nearly as bad as i thought it'd be... especially as someone whos seen a good amount of late 90s to 2000s mecha anime (although unfinshed), i felt the same vibe as many of the others just with much less effort put in or many plot holes or w/e like, i feel like the person who made it "tried" , especially knowing when it came out....... so no, i can't say it "doesn't have its place" lol with Mars of destruction, i feel like the person was trolling... i just don't feel like that with this one... it came off as a first time effort failure instead :/ |

| Yes this is totally ruining anime. Can't sleep because of it anymore. I fear it might invade other anime in the future. There might only be yaoi shota stuff left and not other better anime getting produced anymore. Good that I have encrypted all my anime so at least no one can break into my home and change the files and implement shota into he LotGH files. (Still having bad dreams where this might happen.) But as long as there are still enough other anime left to watch I try to cope with that fear and just watch them and ignore stuff like Super Lovers (which also does not seem too interesting plot-wise to me). |

| I personally won't watch any yaoi stuff because I don't turn that way but I don't believe it is ruining anime. It's far too niche to have much of an impact. If out of nowhere the Fall 2016 lineup had 10 BL shows ready to debut then maybe it's a problem then but definitely not now. |
