Well I know they develop, but its not like by the end of Rave Master the couples were making out every 5 seconds or something. |

Just because something is classified as "action" doe snot mean it won't have SOL elements. |

There are all kinds of character-developments in Tartaros. Its an arc that focuses and/or affects multiple characters/relationships/themes in the show, as well as the narrative itself. It is being touted as a game-changer as well as being the midway point of the story for a reason. |

| That sponge shaped like Gray at the beginning was so funny xD I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but it even had the scar on the forehead! Omg Juvia's collection of Gray stuff is amazing xD She's the best stalker ever! xD Laki's room O_O I think they showed it in the OVA though. I liked her gift idea xD (I mean...Because it was funny, not because...Nevermind xD) After turning down Juvia's scarf: "I'm an Ice Wizard. The cold never bothered me anyway" LOL Frozen reference xD This is one of my new favorite episodes, right up there with Gray and Cancer's dance battle xD |

Also even though at first it was mere infatuation for Gray, over the years it really grew into dedication and love and I find it hard to see Juvia with anyone else than Gray. I wish Gray would confess his growing feelings for her already. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who caught that Frozen reference! =D I was laughing so hard at that xD I love Juvia, she's one of my favorite characters because of all that too ^_^ *Pokes my Profile picture*. I can't wait for something (good) to happen with their relationship too. ^_^ |

| ...i wonder where Juvia got a body pillow of herself so fast. Unless she ordered it weeks ago for the special occasion of the 414th anniversary.. It was clear right away that it wouldn't do for the 413rd, thats why she struggled so much to get something, but for the 414th, a body pillow is the obvious choice. I guess for the 514th, she will offer herself as pillow (not that she doesn't do that in between, too..) |
| I feel that this type of episode could have been good, had it not been used for padding out the series. The scene by the end when Juvia and Gray were walking alone would have had much more impact if the relationship development within this series is actually progressive. It feels to me like this event would have been forgotten without a blink of an eye, or maybe that's just my bias against Mashima and how he writes Fairy Tail. |

| This is exactly why I love Juvia. I enjoy her antics with Gray, but I do wish she had more going for her than that. She's such a fun and interesting character, so she deserves that much. I want that body pillow! |

| I love these little episodes between main arcs <3 they always make me smile :) I love Juvia as a character so much- sometimes she's a little full on with the Gray obsession, but still xD I couldn't help but feel bad for her when she put so much effort into a present only for him to reject it :( poor Juvia |
| Typical Juvia but it was so hilarious to see her go around and asking everyone about a good present. I love Juvia's optimistic personality and her charisma, she's so fun to watch and very cute. |

| Look, I know most of everyone ships GrayXJuvia but the reason why I've never gotten an OTP vibe from them is because, let's face it-- this bitch is OBSESSIVE. It's crazy how much Gray merchandise she's custom-made. Wtf. She's also very possessive, as seen when she gets all jealous over Lucy when Gray pays the slightest bit of attention or care towards her. I'm sorry, but this in real life would be very concerning to people :/ At least to me. I know she loves Gray a lot, but it's also very overwhelming for him, which is why I have a hard time feelin' this ship, although I know they will most likely end up together *sigh* I guess how hard she works at her love is a little noteworthy ;/ With that being said, I like how reliable Erza is when someone is having a hard time ^^ |
| That opening scene is... yikes. I've always had a mild distaste for Juvia because I think she's basically a worthless gag character that epitomizes Fairy Tail's one-dimensional character development (for most of the side characters at the very least), but for the first time I can recall I felt sincere appreciation for her. She's was a total sweetheart and I was grinning like an idiot for a fair bit of the episode. But man, that twist at the end is what did it for me. This was a heartbreakingly beautiful moment of genuine character introspection -- a capture of life's hardest moments -- for both Gray and Juvia. I was tearing up at a couple moments. Gray remembering his & Lyon's moment with Ur, desperately searching for Juvia's scarf and adorning it was PepeHands as fuck. This has to be one of my favorite Fairy Tail episodes (I haven't been keeping a tally and I wish I have been!), and it's just a filler-esque side-story. That people would disregard this episode as meaningless filler garbage is just... arrrrrghhhh. Fairy Tail (all longing continuous narrative shounen, actually) would benefit tremendously from more character development focused SoL episodes like these. Great, great episode. |
