And at the end of it, he becomes an all around villain with a serious god complex, through power corruption. And L is an obvious anti hero. I'm more interested in where exactly Kiritsgu lies, I think he would be an anti hero, with a justice complex. Hmmm. |

Maybe the villain in question thought cutting up animals was fun when they were a child and decided cutting up people would be fun too. There doesn't need to be abuse, loss of a loved one, or something like that to "justify" the character's evil traits. |

That doesn't 'justify' the evil, but it makes the character more interesting. However, what I thought eucli was saying all this time was that people complain when the villain is just evil. As in, he kills people, but the viewers never get to know why he does it. He doesn't find it fun, he's not after revenge, he's not after money, he just does it for no reason. |
