Judging by the fact that only women can be Norma there's gonna be plenty of yuri fanservice...strangely as much as I dislike yuri as of lately, that isn't stopping me. In fact, I'm looking forward to the next episode. Judging by the the way Julio is caressing his little sister and saying they will 'rebuild' the family, there will be more controversial sexual themes. I'm afraid we'll get the strike witches treatment in which the alien dragons have little to do with the series and it's more about the characters and relationships. Not to mention the outfits that the women wear leave little to the imagination. It's strange, two things I'm reminded of that I dislike and I can't see myself outright hating this anime. I never watched SEED so I can't give this anime a 'copypasta' label. The I've seen the screen shot above that someone posted and was a bit intrigued. 4/5, I can't find much of a reason to dislike it personally. |

| That was actually pretty good, in my opinion. I like how her life got flipped over , and the discrimination theme too. The only thing I didn't really like was the cheesy opening sequence of fighting against those dragons.. |

| That was a pretty decent first episode. They could have handled that ending scene different I agree, but it's nowhere near as bad as people are saying it is. |
| Well it passed the first episode hurdle somehow, but that's more based on the fact that it was somewhat an introduction episode than anything else so I don't feel I'm giving it a fair chance to drop it just yet. Don't see it lasting, though. |

| It could have been just an examination, but they definitely implied rape when they showed blood coming from her private parts. With the heavy-handed themes and implied incest, this show it starting off on the wrong foot with me. Sunrise reeks of desperation. Stick to what you're good at like Love Live! |

This could have been a really cool girly-mecha-dragon-action anime if not for the excessive service. Oh well, I'll still enjoy it if it keeps the pace. | Not really sure.... I know that sunrise want to show how bad norma are treated but the way they show it doesn't feel right and too excessive. Interesting nonetheless though And they need to explain what norma is in more detail |
| PHENOMENAL soundtrack and great animation. Aside from that, pretty okay. Definitely watchable and I see promise in this being an excellent series if done right. The soundtrack though is incredible; especially the opening theme. I can see where the controversy for the scene at the end comes in and I entirely blame the fanservice for this. If there was no fanservice in the show, no one would interpret the final scene as "sexualized rape" - because there wasn't anything remotely sexual about it. But because there was very clear fanservice in the rest of the episode (way too fucking much of it, too), it's impossible not to see that scene as fanservice as well. Don't care either way. People are taking it too seriously. All I care about is the mass amounts of fanservice having the potential to ruin what might be an excellent anime otherwise. |

It's not a kid's show by any means, but it's not extreme by R-rated entertainment standards today. While I do think that some things are over the top, if not melodramatic, the show still manages to be fairly entertaining. Every show has its flaws, though Cross Ange is certainly not trying to be politically-correct. |
