| This episode was a masterclass in terms of story development. We finally got a full on convo of Serie with Frieren and found out her views about magic. Her last line, That the only thing to kill you will be the Demon king or a Human really sets the tone of the whole show and how the ending might very well be. Fern might be the one to kill Frieren, But meanwhile there's so much story to be told, Not ready for that moment though :( Fern really is a strong AF mage, this episode reminded me of how much talent she has. |

| Tbh the most fun part of the episode for me was everything outside of the showdown between Frieren/Fern and the copy We've seen Frieren blast things and fly around but it was fun to see her and Fern interacting with the other mages.. outside of the context of combat |

| Serie is even more edgy and ignorant than Frieren. It must be something common among elves. Good that Kraft wasn't like that. Very nice fight. I liked how bright and vivid were the colours during it. Same with camera angles adding even more dynamism to already dynamic scene, shown from two perspectives (Frieren's and Fern's). Frieren's clone is gone, but I hope we will see a fight between the rest of survivors and other clones. Before Frieren opens the gates to Spiegel's lair, of course. |

| Lol look at that those two child after sharing the crucial information, playing around at the entire time on the background xd Oh shit look at how Fern manage to find that tiny little vulnerability which proves to be fatal as an experience mage toward baba Frieren. Even Serie already said it clear that in the future demon king or human mage can kill Frieren. Well, she's not wrong, once again past story regain its dignity toward the present times. A big brain flat-face but big boob Fern, was the one.... Big boss down in one episode by one big hit. Idk what else they need to top this one out. However, i still have three more episodes before the end of era, so lemme just watch it slowly, and carefully... |

| flashbacks are truly the bane of this series, I do not want a flashback slapped in when the motive behind Frieren's smile is clear as water; seeing another flashback pop in the middle of the battle betweeh Fern & Frieren vs Frieren copy was heinous, this is all information we already know and it feels like sudden filler in the middle of a tense moment, it breaks pacing. alright Frieren likes to know new magic, humans are starting to learn magic and blonde girl is a foil to her, so what? its stuff we already know. it was also obvious that Fern was going to defeat the clone. what even is the point of this flashback? i do not want to watch these dudes running for their lives, i do not care for the girl who got stabbed, why even show this?? who cares for these random ass NPC people? also more dumb humour, frieren does a ":3" face so you have to laugh 2/5 |

| This episode really shows how much of a difference it makes to live an extremely long life or just a human one but no matter what it all boils down to one's capabilities and strength. I really appreciate that I could get a new perspective of how one is affected by the things they are surrounded with while growing up and throughout their life, even though Frieren has been around longer and has known the spell Zoltraak for longer than compared with Fern, still, she's a little less adapted to reflexively defend against it. It only takes her a moment to respond but all those long years of experience just make it so she always analyses every spell, thinking about the ways she'd counter it and having many possibilities and this time spent thinking causes a delay, i find this tiny thing so interesting, it has helped me to look at things from a different perspective. Zoltraak has existed since Fern's birth so it's nothing special to her, It's just another fundamental mage spell engraved into her being which she can reflexively defend against.The attention to detail is out of this world. |

| My only critique insofar for this first cour's production run. Is the lack of frames and time made available to this "fight". I understand thats due to the consistent adherence in adaption of source. Ie the heavy dialogue interrupts happened as they did in its manga. Probably with equal to the screen's as displayed per og fight "panels". We inherently gained far and above. More of a "fight" than likely existed previously. Due to previously existing as singular interspread detailed action shots. Focus being on the dialogue et al. Still... Adding another episode to this cour's runtime. To give a solid 10 to 15min intense 3min or so interval fight sequencing. Surely should have been possible. As the flashbacks to planning of. Plus the "in between" for the encounter. Are frequent enough to delimit by roughly that ennerval. Then extend it to have the conclusion line up exactly as it did. With exposition => Fern™ Frieren Lazer. I hope we get a fleshed out and longform. Fight between the two against a Frieren level opponent, or greater. In the second cour. My first critique. May seem trite considering everything else. However, that is a testament to how much of a phenom this run has been. Out of the gate to the final initial, thankfully, stretch. I am extremely pleased my initial assessment of this show. Has been realized in the fact that this "true to source" faith of Madhouse. Leaves lacking adaption as foremost concern. Three episodes left.... I'm not waiting on pins and needles. But, will finish out. Prior to upping Frieren to a 10/10. This level of production deserves that follow through in kind. |

| The more I watch this show the more I understand why it’s currently at number 1, it’s not a 10/10 for me personally but I get it. This episode was beautiful man, not just because of the visuals but also for the story, I usually don’t like when a fight is cut off because of backstory but I loved that conversation between Frieren and Serie, you’d almost think it was written by a real elf but of course they aren’t real lol. I really liked the vision of little Flamme running around as Serie talked about her, as well as that last bit where she talked about humanity overtaking elves in a thousand years once they all know magic, and that’s something you could compare to real life with just how fast we advance technologically, but I also just loved it in the show’s context as well. And you not only had that, you also had that very quick battle against the fake Frieren, it might not have been the best fight ever but it was awesome seeing Frieren take on herself, and those visual once again were awesome, it really felt like a battle between two of the greatest mages to ever exist. And Fern’s final shot was great as well, the fact it was Fern who even knew about the vulnerability is quite amazing too, I guess it would be her that would know how to beat her own master. Of course it wasn’t clearly shown if she got the killing blow but still a great scene regardless. I’ve got more things to say about the whole arc in general but I’ll hold onto that until the arc ends lol, I just felt this episode was worth writing something for. |
| So basically in this episode the mangaka told us indirectly exactly how this story will end, leaving only some details(and I am not talking about this anime season ,I am talking about how both the manga and possible future seasons will end) . I really have mixed feeling about this. Hopefully it will be much more creative and unexpected because stories should be predictable and I hope the mangaka know that both the fans and his story deserve better . Anyway, this was an extremely well made episode and the studio proved that it us that it is officially back. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| All might makes it to the others. More mages show up, only further ensuring their guaranteed victory. It seems to be a monster that is Vistrian in nature. They clarify that it still mimics the mind, and thus the actual main flaw would be a chest or a grimoire. but they ignore this and decide to go with some secondary flaw. Freeren makes the insane claim that most of them would die if they all went in at once. This is immediately proven to be a false claim as The two freerens are equally matched , and it is distinctly clarified that the clown has her hands full with this and only has the ability to focus on the other freeren. An elf is seen using floating magic 1000 years ago, although earlier it was alleged that this type of magic did not exist for anyone other than demons until very recently. The elf thinks flowers are foolish. The elf finds the idea of everyone enjoying magic to be repulsive. Some of the fight looks kool but the concepts are so absurd that this can’t really redeem the episode. 2 |

| Alot and i mean a lot of strategizing throughout the first half of this episode. WHen Fern said she would kill Frieren i thought she meant but herself but i was wrong. Frieren being the one to distract her clone is understandable and i dont get how i didnt think of that in the beginning. The fight between both of the Frieren is quite beautiful with some outstanding visuals. I really love all the new spells were seeing the Frierens cast, well atleast i think there new i dont remember if we have seen them casted before or not. Fern landed a really nice shot in the end though i doubt that will be the end of Frierens clone. We got some more nice backstory with Frieren and Serie who seems to not like humans alot or atleast doesnt want them to have the power of magic to use for them and there people but i guess weel see more of what she thinks of others soon enough. |
