| If this still isn't Gintama, then I don't know what it is! Seeing the four reunite was a dream come true. That sword exchange between Takasugi and Gintoki reminded me so much of F.S arc's last episode between Hijikata and Gintoki :'). I miss those guys from the shinsengumi. Also seeing Bansai preparing to sacrifice his life for Shinpachi and in the name of Takasugi was heart warming. Can't forget about what Batou said about Gintoki, how breakfeast to him is as common as the amount of death he has seen. Our Gin-chan has definitely suffered. All I can say is, that was epic! |

| Pakuyasha in the OP for the lolz.I expected they would do it.My life is complete xD.Takasugi is back and is kicking ass.The 4 Joui Rebels are finally together.Lol'd at the end.Gintoki don't try to steal Pakuyasha's important moments you were never there lmao. Also I lol'd at this one Shiroyasha -> Sugita Tomokazu Pakuyasha -> Seki Tomokazu I don't know if this is coincidence or not lol |

| I didn't care for Gintoki's fight at all. Eye power nonsense was just dumb and unfunny. Pakuyasa was at least funny. Seeing everyone coming together was epic! After credit scene was classic Gintama wallbreaking lmao |

| This got to be my FAV episode so far! HAHA! and I'm sure there's more epicness to come! The Animation is also improving! well done! - Gin's fight with Batou was quick! but I do love Gin's speech "I'll fight for tomorrow's breakfast" - Seems like Kamui saved Takusugi on the verge of falling. - And YES! TAKASUGI IS BACK! lookin sexy and badasss as ever!!! -FINALLY! The REUNION! been waiting for this!  THAT ENDING! hahahaha! got to agree PAKUYASA! the MVP in this ep!    NEXT EP! | I really liked Gintama in the past but in terms of story, comedy, action and most importantly the MC its light years behind the real masterpiece which is Pakutama. Cool episode but I would prefer a longer fight than these guys bragging about being samurai and stuff, enter takasugi was awesome tho. Kamui got himself a bigass weapon straight out of Monster Hunter |

| Idk why Gin has 20k+ favourites when Pakuyasa is the true hero of this anime. He didn't deserve to be arrested; that was an unnecessary stain on our saviour. Tbh I didn't care much about the fight. Bato's dick joke sword was way too inconsistent for there to be any tension. (Apparently Sakamoto is tougher than a building, seeing as the sword couldn't cut through him.) Good thing is the fights are short, and the dialogue refreshingly non-cheesy. Reunion was hype, next episode will be great. Budget seems to be tight, seeing as most of Bato and Gin's talk was from a uber-zoomed out crappy angle. This was a non-trivial scene, so it felt jarring. Although I don't mind if all this cost cutting means that After ED scene was great. It was high time for some 4th wall-breaking. All I need now is some budget jokes and I'm golden. |

| I like the Gintoki fight, it's quick and not dragged but at the same time I feel it's pretty suspenseful. I disappointed Bansai didn't die but I guess it doesn't really matter if he die or not, the last arc so far is still epic. And I like the music too.. |

| This Episode had such a bad-ass ending, why would you go ahead and ruin it. I may not even be in the next episode, does that mean anything to you!? XD Gintama is such a great series! It is one of the only anime that has ever kind of went outside of my anime preference zone. :3 But I am also trying to expand on newer types of anime and such. :) Gintoki is so awesome! :D |

| This episode was specially bad at combining serious with comedy. It felt like there was an actual physical separation between the dramatic and the funny Gintama, leave the first five minutes and the last three for the jokes, and don't let it touch the rest of the episode. Did I say jokes, by the way? Scratch that, actually. Joke. The same over and over. The ending bit was just bland. You would think that repeating thrice the joke would lead to some distinct reaction, or a punch, or a twist... it didn't. It was just that. The same thing being repeated three times. Seriously wtf is this laziness in my Gintama. The sad thing is, it's been done before, and better in the show. The drama would be ok if it wasn't so reliant on making me feel for a character the show has never cared for. I mean, Bansai surely is an interesting guy but I need something more to feel through his sacrifice, let alone evoke the deep emotions of attachment this episode tries to bring. And the oversaturation of (over)long speeches thing that has been quite an issue in this arc doesn't help. This episode created an iconic image, no doubt about it. For that, I can respect its achievement. But the way through the episode to get this was, for me, unsatisfying on almost every level. I didn't like this, at all. Actually my least favorite from an arc and season I'm not too big on yet. |

Your point would also be more grounded if I hadn't started reading the manga somewhere mid 2013, so I didn't know what was filler and what was not during most of these comments you disregard, and I didn't give a fuck if they were at the time. If your only argument here are ratings, I would probably rank Gintama at the same overall spot as One Piece, if not higher, and that's why I've given four fucking 10s to the franchise (three for One Piece, by the way). And there are things it does consistantly better. Drama just happens to not be one of them. |

| Gin-san's bokuto can actually pierce flesh. That's rather surprising. Pakuyasa is a new favorite, of course. I'm sure he has a good place in Gin-san's heart. Oh, Takasugi's alive. Bet the fangirls are screaming now. I'm glad Katsura is still alive or does he go by Zura now? I doubt it lol and Sakamoto is also fine. One of the best episodes in this season so far. I'm glad to see the old Jouishishi together. Pakuyasa at the end made my day. I guess it will be Pakutama from now on. |

| Lol when watching the opening, I was like "what? Pakuyasa has always been there?". The fights were not as impressive than in the previous arc, but I liked them. Great reunion :) Pakuyasa is the true samurai! |
