| I'm so impressed with Sakura Quest. Not only did they focus on what the town wanted to do for its future, but also what each character wanted as well. Each character had their own growth, no matter how small. At first, I thought Sakura Quest was going to go nowhere fast, but I think after Yoshino got into it, I got into it too. As I go place to place and find places run down, deserted, or riddled with drugs, I sometimes ask myself what I could do to make these places better. Sakura Quest explored some of those ideas, but I felt that they realistically showed that the results of all your hard work might not always produce the desired fruits. I was rooting for our characters so hard when that concert came along, and seeing them fail really made me start paying attention even more. If that didn't work, what would?? Then eventually, even I learned something. |

| Man this show was hard to get through for me. I don't know why but after the 12th episode everything started to get less interesting for me. Loved the characters but the story just didn't grab me. 6/10, maybe even a 5/10 if I think about it. |

| Gotta be honest, Ririko singing the Dragon song while the camera panned over all of the festival kinda got to me. And gotta be honest, Yoshino waving goodbye on the train when Kadota, waiting with the giant banner, shouts to a passing Yoshino, "This will always be your town!", REALLY got to me. All of Manoyama's residents, and especially our five heroines, really grew on me throughout this series. Very few anime have insights as down-to-earth as Sakura Quest, and even fewer have characters I can relate so closely to. The real struggles of work-life as a 20-something are something I wish more anime would tackle, and I'm very glad that Sakura Quest was here to fill that void. This is easily one of my new favorite series and I'm sad to see it end, but the way our five heroines are bravely moving forward despite all of memories, tears, and emotions is inspiring for me. The Kingdom of Chupacabra might be closed, and she might not be wearing the crown anymore, but Yoshino will always be queen. (God, this series has got me all sappy and sentimental all over again). |

| Ah, such a beautiful ending! I'm gonna miss these girls and the town so much later :( The whole development of Yoshino pretty much being the same as the dragon who has become accepted not as an outsider, but as a part of the town... Truly beautiful! I almost teared up with the whole train scene, especially when Pres appeared :') I'm happy to see that she will (seemingly) try to continue helping other towns and villages as well :) That's a wonderful career, although I would have preferred if she stayed here with the others. The series has its ups and downs. I didn't always like the character drama, and sometimes I felt like the girls made obvious bad choices (all in good faith though), but it was still very enjoyable, and I liked most of the main and supporting characters, which is always a plus. Ririko and Yoshino were the best though :) Also, that first ED though... Especially the finger snapping! :D This anime is very underrated... it seems like some people couldn't really immerse themselves and understand the thoughts behind this story... Anyway, I can't help but feel the same way as most people, by which I mean that I often compared it to Hanasaku Iroha and Shirobako. It often felt like a mix of both, in a good way of course. Still, I liked both of those more than this (both 9/10, with HanaIro being better mainly thanks to Ohana having been my #2 overall, and #1 favorite female character for the last 6 years), but I feel like this show still deserves an 8/10. It was a wonderful experience :) |

| I have to admit, I started this show with no expectation whatsoever. I just needed a calming slice of life show to watch in study breaks and found Sakura Quest. Neither the synopsis nor the first episode seemed amazing. Just an average series. I couldn’t be more wrong. It grew on me so much! I love how the show acknowledges the individual personalities, dreams and anguishes of each and every character. As a person who always find a character to relate to in a specific story, I did not relate to any particular character. Instead, there is something to relate to in every character. It is such a cool experience! Not to mention how heartwarming Manoyama is explored together with its historical and cultural specificity. It is refreshing to see elderly characters taking such a huge part in the development of the story. Regrets and experiences of the old, dreams and ambitions of the youth and sometimes repetitive, sometimes conflicting struggles. And despite its light-hearted tone, I believe the series also explores what it means to be an outsider in a closely knitted community and what it means to accept a complete outsider together with the new perspectives that outsider brings into the long established and accepted traditions and values really well. Sakura Quest is for me the embodiment of the beauty of all the little things we as humans take for granted in life. Such an underrated series. Definitely a 9 for me. |

| What a worthless pile of garbage anime. Nothing of value was accomplished. It's a shame, this show had some potential, the production values were decent, the character designs were cute enough for the main girls, the setting was very good. What really killed this show was the writing, there was absolutely no reason why this needed 25 episodes where absolutely nothing worthwhile happens. What a missed opportunity in so many ways. 2/10 This marks the place where P.A. Works really started to spiral downwards as a studio. I'm not surprised no one mentions this show anymore, it doesn't deserve to be remembered. If you want a show that does a great job at highlighting how wholesome a tightly knit community can be, then watch Barakamon instead of this. |

| That was a beautiful soothing song by Ririko at the Mizuha festival. I guess now all them disbanded like that, Sanae decided to open shop on the shopping district, while Riri plans to leave Manoyama, Shiori of course will stay, Maki is continuing with the troupe and Yoshino has decided to leave for new quests. Speaking of Yoshino, I didn't think she will leave, or if she left it would be to her hometown and revitalize it. But instead she surprised the hell out of me when she suddenly took a turn, but I'm happy for her nonetheless! That was a warm and tearful goodbye, I really wanted her to continue with the town.Although that was a beautiful speech by the pres and Yoshino, and it was too bad he dissolved the Chupakabura kingdom. Overall this was a nice watch. But it lacked depth a bit, it felt a bit shallow in some instances. Personal stories of characters lacked that deep intensity, but I could understand since this wasn't tagged as a drama flick, it Would've been nice though. I felt like the absorption of Manoyama by Tomikura should've been done in detail, at the end they just ditched and became uninterested in the matter. I felt like it was a major thing and they decided to introduce it very late, on top of that they failed to deliver on its tale. Also I felt like Yoshino didn't revitalize the town the way I wanted, it Would've been nice if she left it booming with tourists and new residents/great development. But I liked the idea of the plot and the characters. The pres was my favorite along with Sandal and Yoshino. As an MC I felt Yoshino did well, she didn't force ideals on other characters and I liked that she didn't meddle too much on people's businesses. The music and animation were very good, I personally liked the cherry blossom shots on this last episode. 7/10. |

| Started this solely because of "Freesia" (ED 1), so naturally with minimal expectations but this has been such a great watch! Right from the 1st episode to the last, it never felt stale and that's a feat! And what a sweet finale episode this was! I was planning on settling with a solid 8/10 but after those final moments (with the village's emotional farewell to Koharu and the nice little preview in the end) and Ririko's song plus just the whole atmosphere to sign things off with, I'd to bump it to an 8.5/10. Naumann and Kadota-san moments though, lol. It's nice to see him finally finding some solace with the promise and his hometown. Couldn't help but smile all the way through the whole anniversary event really. It's sad that it was just a one-year program but I liked how Koharu is not surrendering to this blessing, says a lot imo. And the other four finding a purpose themselves, it's amazing how this show managed to tackle both Manoyama, its few residents and the five heroines. Such an underappreciated gem, this show! Certain things were kept slightly vague as well, and I found that a little charming and realistic in a way. Sister cities sounds like a solid plan though I must say but it's hard to say if it'd click. Op 1 and ED 1 & 2 and some of the lively soundtracks (my fav being Instrumental ver of Red Clover) were such fantastic company and the Animation, while down a few moments, was quality all the way through. I would really love to more shows like this! Celibidache, Alexandre Cena Davis was a fun company too in many ways xD. It's really heartwarming to know that he finally got a glimpse of the sight his great grand parents saw. I'm guessing it was about time for him to leave Manoyama in the end there, but that's part of life. Share that book around, good sir. Supporting characters as a whole was a job well done here, in my opinion. Doc, Beef, Chitose-san, Kindaichi-san (Congrats btw!), Erika and everyone else. Damn, I'm already missing this show... ;-; Manoyama with the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom and the Shopping District is one sight to behold though, good luck with that Manoyama and Goodbye! I'm not going to forget the town for a long while, that's for sure. Hopefully, one day, I'll have the pleasure of visiting the area myself. I just love towns with strong traditions like this. I've seen a lot of comparisons of this show to Hanasaku Iroha and Shirobako for the obvious adult working theme but I feel like this was a bit more like Amagi Brilliant Park. Short-term contract and bringing back life to the respective places, and the list goes on. But maybe that's just me, who knows. Edit: Forgot to mention this bit. Certainly among one of my favorite P.A. Works shows'. I really hope they come up with another banger in due time, they make some of the most priceless advertising in real life too and that's the best part really. |

| I liked this show. It was good but I'm not sure I can say much more than that. This might sound a bit odd but honestly, I thought this show was a bit of a bummer. Like most of their attempts to revitalise the town failed and while that might be realistic, it wasn't exactly uplifting. I liked that the festival seemed to have some impact but that's unlikely to be long lasting. Then when she left at the end, I was bit like...so, if you don't even want to stay there even though you feel like it's become your home, all your friends live there etc. then who's ever going to settle there. I dunno, it's maybe a bit pessimistic but it just seems like nothing they did really changed anything. I guess the point of the show wasn't necessarily meant to be sunshine and roses and to have a big turn around for the town because it was aiming for highlighting the real problem of the decline of rural towns but that doesn't exactly send a good message. The end result just felt like, yeah - might as well just let these places rot away because no amount of effort will make any difference. That sounds like I didn't enjoy it. I did, but not more than a 7/10. |

| I'm not usually cry in watching anime but what an actual frick i really cry in the end there xD This isn not even a drama anime lol... I started to cried after Yoshino cried in the train. It's just that i get attach to the characters of this anime. About the ending, i think it's great. Pretty straightforward after the contract Yoshino will leave Manoyama. No forced drama and conflicts about it. The 5 ladies will go in their seperate ways but will cherish the memeories of them as Tourism Board and being together for 1 year : ( What i like in anime the most are the characters, its pretty solid and have realistic approach on whats happening around them. My favorite is Yoshino, she has that positive energy,i think she is a well rounded character. Story and pacing are great for a 25 episodes show. Honestly i never thought that i gonna enjoyed this anime when i started to picked this up. So overall i love this anime from the bottom of my heart and not gonna forget the characters of it! |

Oh, very interesting timing. After such a long time, I wanted to watch something similar to Sakura Quest and came across Shirobako. They are not identical but they both grew on me gradually. | i cried at the dragon song. it's so beautiful and i can kind of relate. the scene was unbelievably beautiful. shit i cried again at the train scene, despite all efforts to avoid it. i'm struggling to give this show one of my rare 10s, but i cannot find a single fault. this show had everything. great characters, drama, comedy, intrigue. it was great to see how everyone grew and changed and a fire was reignited in a people that had lost hope. fuck it, i'm giving it a 10. damn i'm going to miss it. |

| Really going to miss this show. It sat on my plan to watch list for a very very long time. Good ending. Nearly shed a tear though got me in the feels a bit for sure :') I doubt there could be a 2nd season given the way it ended but I'd love an OVA episode or two, one for a "where are they now/how are they progressing and MAYBE one where they all meet up at the next festival and catch up. The tourism board could fill in Yoshino on their continued efforts and maybe the town is slightly trending upwards, maybe a handful of new residents moved in, couple shops opened up, one being another "trendy" one, signifying the queen having had a lasting positive impact that carried on after she left. The girls could all essentially all catch up and could have had all indirectly/absentmindedly continued to provide Manoyama a modest boost through positive word of mouth or actions (even from those that left Manoyama) That led to business or visitors. It could even be possible for Yoshino to have such an impact even though shes now working for another town, but it's also possible she'd be the only one left out of Manoyama's upward trend through absentminded actions. However if that route were to happen it would show the 5 heroines still connected through Manoyama in their hearts and subconsciously. As is, it's a good stopping point as kind of sad as I am to say that. Could also see a spin off where a now older Erika gets her wish to leave to Tokyo only to encounter how difficult things can be in the city and maybe Manoyama connections (with appearances from the girls at various points) Help her settle into city living. She could encounter the problem of feeling alone/lack of personal connection despite constantly interacting with people and being around people, overcome those problems but have a deeper understanding of why Manoyama is special and why Shiori feels the way she does about Maroyama. Part of me wanted Yoshino to stay and the group just continued in their efforts (minus Ririko seeing the world ofc, which, I think is good character development and would be nice for her to have those experiences). I could just about picture a second season continuing the premise post Queen era Manoyama. But I understand Yoshinos character isn't one to do that.. it's too normal and I am happy that she did find what she wanted to do in life. I just don't know if personally I could move on if I was the one forming such ties with people who embraced me and after caring about the town as much as she did. I guess I wish her path involved always being bonded to Manoyama (in a good way ofc) Like an import agreement with her new town to help move those chupakabra sweets lmao, that would've been a nice touch. That would be my minor gripe if you could even call it that. But as I said earlier, I understand and it was a good ending still. Still gave it a 9/10. Great animation, soundtrack, characters that grew on me, story did make me care about the town and where characters were in their personal life, the stuff they were dealing with was very relatable at times. I feel like on the lowest side it should be sitting at 7.5 if not an 8 at least. Those are just my personal thoughts, I'm going to miss these characters and Manoyama. Good job P.A Works. |

| There are some things left unresolved, nevertheless, it was a fine conclusion. Never imagined it but surprisingly, this series has grown on me. Gonna miss the main group, going to miss Sandal, Ririko and all those interesting support characters even more. Thanks for your heartfelt efforts Yoshino. "Sakura Quest" is a precious gem. Wish there would a sequel of some sort. Gosh, I just feel kinda empty now TT |
