| My parents laugh at me when I sing the beginning theme songs from an anime. -.- They used to ask me why I kept watching them all the time, but they got tired of asking and now I guess it´s normal to see me watching anime. They still laugh when I sing something in Japanese, though. |
| My parents will listen to me talk about anime, but they don't like watching it with me. It they are sick of listening they will say they don't care to hear about it, so I normally watch or talk about it with people who like it and that is not everyone I know. |

| My parents don't really care about my anime watching or mention it. My mom drops hints sometimes that she thinks there are better things I could be doing with my time but she's wrong :p I watched Haibane Renmei with her a while back and she liked it, those were good times |
| My mother refers to them as 'those chinese cartoons you like' but other than that she doesnt really care. My grandma once watched spirited away with me and she like it, but i dont think she knows or cares that its anime or not. |

| Blah at first my parents were like "Hey, why do you watch these chinese stuff? Or whatever" Oh god I always go like "It's JAPANESE MOM Japanese." Well that was few years ago, but now they got used to it, they'd join me while watching some anime too, some of my friends won't accept it they all go "Oh you're still watching Pokemon??" Sheesh it's not like every anime is Pokemon, they should grow some brains already. It's offending, sometimes I snap at them too, hmph. |

| it's more my younger sister that makes fun of my anime watching...my mom literally has no clue whatsoever that i've been watching anime for the past half year or so -_- lol. i asked her to borrow a couple dollars to buy a Vampire Knight manga at the bookstore and i had to tell her at least 10 times that "no it's not a Twilight book, it's manga" and she still didn't get it haha. oh well, at least she isn't against it. my sister on the other hand is one of those people who thinks that people who watch anime are geeks with no lives, so she doesn't even wanna hear about it when i try to tell her how much i love it. she just rolls her eyes and walks away. lol, true family love right? |

| Yes, but it's usually the same joke. It's from Woody Allen's "What's up, Tiger Lily", and goes something like, "everyone make sure your W2 forms are filled out." It makes a lot more sense if you've seen the movie, though. |

| After my dad had seen me watching anime, he eventually asked "What language is that?" and I told him that it was Japanese. He asked how I understood what they were saying, and I responded that there were subtitles. That's all we've ever said to each other about it :P My mom thinks I'm addicted, but I don't think she cares that much about it, since watching anime's not the worst thing I could be doing on the computer. Sometimes she'll tell me to give my eyes a break, but she's never forced me to stop watching. |

| Everyone respects my hobby and I respect theirs. Even my mum takes an interest in my stuff and I do the same to her. She asks me about which I need to catch up on, and I ask her what she needs to catch up on [Dexter, Supernatural, etc]. My Dad hardly mentions anything about my hobby. I got my little sister into Umineko and Chrono Crusade. My brother really likes Death Note. So frankly, everyone respects my hobby. Why? Because all of us are obsessed with certain kind of shows. And we can choose to take piss out of each other, but we don't, because we all understand our obsessions. Something in which some of your siblings and parents need to understand. |

She doesn't understand how I can actually watch something and have to read subtitles, and always asks me why I need the volume up cos I can't understand them anyway. lol, pretty dumb. | My mom surprisingly has never really commented on my anime watching or my decorating my room with anime figures. Which is odd; Usually she relates everything I like to Satan. Like Harry Potter. Because it definitely means I'm into witchcraft since I read Harry Potter. |
