| A score should not mean anything for you. Some certain group of people can hate an anime and rate it low. The same happens when they want to dethrone an anime so score in MAL doesnt really matter. |

| MAL's scoring is all over the place based off popularity and recency though even for nicher stuff if you get below a 5 you might have problems. A 7.1 might not be good for a popular series but it's a pretty good rating if it's niche or old. So I guess below 5? Mid/early 6s can be okay for some older very niche titles. |

| I have my seasonal animes listed for winter 2022 that I'm specifically going to look forward the most rather than giving every anime a try since I'm really busy with school and it's a waste of time to grind everything in one season. Most of the anime that I'm looking forward to are mostly sequels or first adaptation from the manga that as a whole and overall rating is from the scale of 7.35-8.50+, but if the anime adaptation reaches below 7.30, I would either still give it a watch or take it off my watch list. |

| I tell myself that the MAL score means next to jack shit, but I'd be lying. In truth, anything in the 6-range I get the impression is trash, the 7-range is mostly well received by the masses but would probably just be OK-ish for me, 8-and-above is the good stuff I guess you could say that I roughly view anything beneath 7.20 negatively, and anything above 7.80 positively, in-between stuff will probably just be meh. | bellow a 5 usually means its bad i don't use scores to gauge whether i should watch something i usually ask people with similar tastes what they think about it. |

| I'm going to say this first, before answering. I don't look at scores, amount of members and how high it is in terms of popularity. A score of below 5,99 is slightly worrisome. |

| Probably the 5-6 range, most popular things are rated higher and ones that have a lower score get my attention for being rated so low, around 5-6 though is the forgettable generic trash. |
| I'll be skeptical of any anime that falls below a 6. That being said, as you can see from my list if it catches my attention that still isn't gonna stop me from at least giving it a chance and checking it out for myself. Anime is such a subjective medium that I'd hate to miss out on something I consider a gem just cause people generally disliked it. I'll decide for myself and all that jazz. |

| I try to be fair and exerce subjectivity. That said, I usually am a lot more critical to shows with scores of 6 and less - because I already know that the majority of people found flaws in it. Bad ratings can be tricky tho. 'So bad it's good' is definitely a real phenomenon. |
