| Although there are no new features at the level of the characters or even of the action, the narrative is still interesting to follow. More and more united Elias and Chise, as well as Silky and the other characters to the girl. This episode also explains the aversion Elias has for children, all because of a youth trauma, we could say. |

| My jaw dropped a little at the unlit fireplace just before the ED. Elias, you dirty liar. Can’t help but to feel there’s some metaphor going on there, but I’m not quite sure what yet. Maybe he’s decided to send her away to this college but knows that isn’t what she wants? Something about Silver burying the bird also gets me a little — I interpreted it as symbolic of her wanting to keep their cozy little house (and lifestyle) the same, just her, Elias, and Chise. (Well, and Ruth too.) |

| Mesmerizing stuff, especially that whole singing scene with the flowers blooming and the whole water mirror scene with Chise and Elias + more backstory too for Elias learned by Chise through Lindel. The visuals in the water scene and the flower blooming scene were magnificently done, and the usage of colors and filters are so perfect for this show. The modern day audiovisual masterpiece strikes again with this show, and the slow-burn characterization and development of Chise and Elias both individually and as a pair continue to be amazing for me. Lindel was also really great in particular in this episode. |
| Of all the things she questions with regards to Elias past, she asks did I look tasty? I mean...okay It looks like Chise is undergo some kind of test of strength with Liden before heading back so I'm definitely interested what she'll learn from there. |

| I'm loving this show so far. I know some are off put that it's slow and not super focused but I think that's the charm. It's got so much atmosphere. Also the soundtrack is so good so far. |
| I don't think someone should say they're tasty when facing a man eating monster lmao. Though for Chise I'm not sure whether it's a blessing or bane xD Though in all seriousness episode had some awkward moments, but the one which really got me was Silky burying(?) the bird, like why in the wake of night of all times. |

| guess Elias has an addiction for human flesh and he's not been able to quit the craving. I wonder if he fell off the wagon between the time he left Lindel and settled in that village. And as always I wonder if that mistake he made which has him as errandboy for the Church did involve him chowing down on someone. |

| Just when I was thinking "hopefully one day Chise can dance with Elias in that beautiful land" he suddenly appeared through the mizu kagami :") the moment when Chise sowed the flowers into the water was their sweetest moment so far. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart... I never thought that I would blush seeing the romance between a human and a skull-headed magical creature. I didn't know that Lindel had such a lovely voice. His mantra is a song? It's very beautiful. Where can I find such a magnificent land, where I can dance with fairies and be surrounded by blooming flowers? Lindel is now my favorite character here ♡♡ |

| absolutely beautiful scene with the flowers and song. there's some moments where i think chise really showed some personal growth. the burying of the bird at the end was a bit abrupt and i wonder if it will cause issues in the future. otherwise why show it, right? |
